Oh! Goodness, my head is killing me!
The next morning, Jin Hyun-tae woke up with a ringing in his ears and a severe headache. He couldn't remember how much he had drunk the previous night, and the only fragments he could recall were of him drinking non-stop.
Those unscrupulous uncles had kept pushing drinks on him, trying to make him embarrass himself, but it seemed he hadn't let them succeed. Instead, these unscrupulous uncles had gotten drunk and made quite a few amusing spectacles of themselves.
Thinking about this, Jin Hyun-tae couldn't help but grin.
Yesterday had been a wild night, and it had been a long time since Jin Hyun-tae had let himself go and had such a good time.
Under the influence of alcohol, with Mr. Nate as the leader and a few other middle-aged men as his followers, they all went to a strip club outside the community to watch a show.
Among them, Mr. Nate even went up to the dance floor and performed a strip dance himself, completely stripping down and dancing provocatively, even receiving cheers from the crowd. However, in the end, Mr. Nate was pushed off the stage by the bouncers, which was rather embarrassing.
Jin Hyun-tae never thought that middle-aged men could be so wild.
"Oh, don't come near me, I really have no money... Alright, this is my last stash, it's all yours, darling."
Ha ha!
Jin Hyun-tae remembered these were the words of a neighbor named Ode, when he was facing a stripper.
Ode was a henpecked husband, timid and weak, who usually handed over his salary and had very little pocket money. Even the little he had was saved up secretly, and it wasn't much.
Jin Hyun-tae remembered that Ode had taken a few coins from his underwear and slipped them into the stripper's panties, his expression a mix of pain and anticipation, which was truly amusing to watch.
After that, there were a few other guys, all community residents who were good friends with Mr. Nate. They seemed to have had the strippers perform intimate lap dances for them.
Recalling those guys' expressions now, they were truly lecherous to the extreme.
American uncles, they really know how to have fun.
Thinking about these fragments, Jin Hyun-tae couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time.
"Oh, right, where's my daughter!"
Suddenly, Jin Hyun-tae remembered his daughter, Coco, who had stayed with Demy the whole night because he had drunk too much.
Thinking of his daughter, Jin Hyun-tae quickly got out of bed.
To be honest, he couldn't remember how he got home last night, which showed how much he had drunk.
"Damn, this alcohol is no good. I can't drink so much in the future," Jin Hyun-tae said to himself as he washed his face and brushed his teeth, then left home and walked straight to Nate's house.
It was seven in the morning, and Demy probably hadn't gone to school yet.
When he knocked on the door, Nate's wife, Anna, opened it. She didn't look surprised to see Jin Hyun-tae and seemed to know why he was there.
"The child is with Demy. She's very well-behaved, a very cute little girl," Anna said immediately, telling Jin Hyun-tae where Coco was and praising her to reassure him.
Anna clearly knew about her husband's antics last night, perhaps because she was used to his behavior.
"Nate gets wild when he drinks, but he's usually a good guy. You'll get used to it," Anna explained her husband's behavior.
What could Jin Hyun-tae say? He could only give an awkward smile.
Led by Anna, Jin Hyun-tae entered Nate's house and saw Nate's eldest son, Jack, already eating breakfast, clearly preparing to go to school.
Nate was still sleeping off his hangover, so Jin Hyun-tae didn't see the middle-aged man with the provocative dance moves.
"You wait here, I'll go get Demy," Anna said, understanding that Jin Hyun-tae couldn't go find Demy himself, as she was a girl. She asked Jin Hyun-tae to wait while she went upstairs to call her daughter.
After Anna left, Jin Hyun-tae walked over to Jack, who was eating breakfast, and sat down at the table.
Jack, who was eating breakfast, looked at Jin Hyun-tae, whose face was a bit pale, with a sympathetic expression.
"Those old men were pretty wild last night, huh?"
Casually, Jack whispered to Jin Hyun-tae.
Uh!
Jin Hyun-tae was a bit taken aback and didn't know how to respond.
Jack then continued mysteriously, "I know, those old men have no class when they drink. They get wilder and wilder. I've been a victim too. I heard you guys went to a strip club? I bet my dad showed off his provocative dance moves again, right?"
What the heck! How does Nate's son know so much about his father's behavior after drinking?
Could it be... Jin Hyun-tae thought of a possibility.
Seeing Jin Hyun-tae's thoughtful expression, Jack whispered, "Don't guess. I know what my dad is like. When I was in high school, they took me out to play and I saw my dad's wild side firsthand."
Damn! Mr. Nate, you're really something!
To be so wild in front of your son!
Jin Hyun-tae was speechless.
But he couldn't deny that Nate, as a father, was quite lovable.
"Alright, I'm off to school. I think you're a good guy. If I have something fun, I'll invite you. College guys are wild, but we're way more fun than those old guys. By the way, when we throw parties, there are a lot of hot girls."
After saying this, Jack winked at Jin Hyun-tae, the meaning clear.
Is this the same shy and quiet boy from yesterday?
Turns out, it was all an act.
Nate's son is really simple.
"Jack, did you steal my money again!"
At that moment, a high-pitched female voice came from the second floor, piercing through the entire house.
"Got to go," Jack said, not even finishing his breakfast, and ran out of the house. Then, Demy, wearing a mini skirt and a tank top, ran down from the second floor.
"Damn, he's gone again!"
Not seeing her brother, Demy could only grit her teeth and curse.
Though Demy wasn't wearing a bra, and her chest was clearly visible, she didn't seem to care.
American girls are really open.
Jin Hyun-tae felt a bit awkward and adjusted his gaze to avoid looking at Demy.
"Mom! Jack stole my pocket money again. Are you going to do something about it?"
Ignoring Jin Hyun-tae for the moment, Demy turned and shouted upstairs.
Anna, holding Jin Hyun-tae's daughter, Coco, appeared from the corner of the stairs and said helplessly, "Just hide it better. Why do you let your brother always find your money?"
Damn!
Hearing her mother's words, Demy could only stomp her foot and curse.
"Daddy!"
Coco, who had been looking at Jin Hyun-tae with a curious and slightly pouty face, finally saw her father and reached out her little hands to him, calling his name.
On Coco's face, Jin Hyun-tae saw no fear or panic from not seeing him all night, but rather a relaxed and content expression.
"Thank you so much, Demy. Thank you for taking care of the little one last night. Did she cause any trouble?"
Jin Hyun-tae, of course, wanted to thank Demy for taking care of Coco all night.
"Not really, the little one was easy to take care of. She didn't wet the bed or anything, but she likes to touch things while sleeping, which was a bit troublesome."
Ha ha!
Demy was talking about children's habits. Although Coco didn't have this habit, it was because she didn't sleep with Demy.
Last night, the little one had slept with Demy, so it was understandable that she started touching things.
As for what she touched, ha ha...
Of course, Demy couldn't really be angry about Coco's touching, after all, she was just a little kid.
"Damn Jack, Jin, you have to be careful of my brother. He always steals my pocket money, he's a bad guy!"
Demy clearly resented her brother for taking her money and didn't forget to badmouth him to Jin Hyun-tae.
Of course, this was a family matter, and Jin Hyun-tae didn't want to comment.
Although Jack's actions were wrong and not to be encouraged, he wasn't as bad as Demy made him out to be.
In fact, it was just a case of a bad brother bullying his sister.
Why did he always steal his sister's pocket money instead of his parents' wallets? It was probably because he enjoyed the fun of bullying his sister.
"Your brother just likes to tease you. Although he steals your pocket money, he usually gives you more compensation after a while. Don't say bad things about your brother."
As a mother, Anna defended her son, Jack, and revealed something Jin Hyun-tae didn't know.
"Hmph! I was planning to buy some cosmetics today. I've wanted them for a long time, and I finally saved enough money, but now..."
Demy knew her mother was right, but she still felt a bit upset.
"Mrs. Anna, I don't want to disturb you. I need to go to the publishing house today. Please thank Mr. Nate for me for last night's hospitality. I had a great time."
Jin Hyun-tae, having picked up his daughter, didn't want to stay any longer and decided to leave.
"Sure, I'll let dear know."
Anna smiled and nodded.
Demy then called out to Jin Hyun-tae, who was about to leave, "If you need someone to take care of your daughter in the future, just find me. I offer this service for $3 an hour."
