Wang Tong's face turned red as she struggled a bit. Yang Luo said, "Don't move! If we act like a couple, the kidnappers won't suspect anything."

Wang Tong thought it made sense and stopped struggling, but she still felt that this guy was deliberately taking advantage of her.

Yang Luo held Wang Tong and walked into the residential area next to the cargo yard, looking around as they went. At first, Wang Tong was very uncomfortable with being held, and her body remained tense.

Yang Luo whispered, "Don't be nervous, relax a bit. If the kidnappers spot any inconsistencies, it will be troublesome."

Wang Tong mumbled, "What inconsistencies could they spot?" Despite her words, she gradually relaxed her body.

Yang Luo felt Wang Tong's body slowly become softer and felt quite pleased. Fortunately, he didn't forget his mission despite his satisfaction.

The two of them strolled around the residential area, getting a clear understanding of the layout. Just as they reached the last building, Wang Tong suddenly said, "Yang Luo, look ahead." Yang Luo looked up and saw an old man sweeping the ground, with a pile of used firecracker paper already gathered beside him.

Yang Luo walked up to the old man and asked, "Old sir! Who is getting married here today?"

The old man didn't look up, "It's Old Zhao's granddaughter getting married. I was supposed to go, but I'm too old and don't want to join in the festivities." After saying this, the old man straightened up and asked, "You are...?"

Yang Luo smiled and said, "We are the bride's friends. We didn't expect to be late. The groom must have been too eager, taking the bride away so early."

The old man suddenly understood and chuckled, "Coming at 7:30 is still early? Young people love to sleep in, especially you guys. Once you get your arms around a pretty wife, you don't want to get up."

Wang Tong's face turned red, and Yang Luo laughed, "Old sir! I'm telling you, it's not that I don't want to get up; it's that my wife won't let me." Wang Tong's face turned even redder, and she pinched Yang Luo's waist and twisted it hard. Yang Luo winced in pain and grabbed her hand.

The old man nodded, "I understand, I understand. I've been there in my youth, but you two should take care of your health." Wang Tong wished she could find a hole to hide in and was even more annoyed with Yang Luo.

"Old sir! We'll stop chatting and head to the hotel."

The old man said, "Go quickly, go quickly..."

"Alright, we're off." He then walked away with Wang Tong, "The kidnappers are in this building."

As soon as they left the residential area, a young man in his thirties walked toward them, carrying a plastic bag with a few takeout boxes inside.

When Yang Luo and the young man passed each other, Yang Luo suddenly noticed a bulge at the young man's waist. Based on his experience, he knew what it was. Without hesitation, he turned and kicked the young man's waist. The young man didn't turn around but took a step to the left. In the moment he turned, a cold glint appeared in his right hand, and a dagger was aimed at Yang Luo's throat.

"Bang!"

Before Wang Tong could react, she saw the young man's body stiffen and then fall to the ground with a thud. A deep bullet hole appeared on the back of his head, and blood mixed with white brain matter slowly oozed out.

Yang Luo's face changed, and he shouted, "Damn it, who fired the shot?" He then pulled out his gun and ran frantically toward the residential area. Wang Tong finally came to her senses, holding her gun and closely following Yang Luo.
