374 Thought She Hallucinated

Yu Sha quickly logged into her trading account and sold off the smaller stocks. She had been investing and trading, hoping to increase SNYS revenue. There are many ways to earn money, not just from working on projects. They're a small company, just started to crawl. If it wasn't for the stocks, she had been investing in the last four years, they wouldn't have much money. Even when their designs won, they only get paid for the design. They also took lesser pay compared to their competitors because beggar can't be chooser. They have to start off somewhere even it means getting paid less. Many successful people didn't just fly off overnight. They made many sacrifices even if it means selling their talent for less amount.

She then looked at Su Na's design draft and calculate cost, materials and labors. Since they are the designer, there was no extra cost to hire the designer. They just have to hire a construction company to do the labor for them.

Yu Sha pushed the computer away and laid on her back to stretch her back when her eyes hit the clock. It was already evening! When she gets in work zone, she could work several days straight and completely forgot everything around her. But soon, her eyes caught a person sitting across, looking at her. She jolted up, gasped a heavy breath and calmed her heart. "What... You're still here?" Initially, she thought she hallucinated, but it occurred that he hasn't left.

He smiled. "I've been here this entire afternoon."

Suddenly, a knock tapped on the door, and the door clicked open. A server wheeled in a food cart.

The server sat the dishes on the table in the dining table and spoke. "Call me if you need anything."

Hue Chi nodded and signaled for the server to go out.

She didn't know that Hue Chi was in her room for the last several hours. "Why are you still here?"

He wanted to apologize to her for his selfishness, but the moment they got in, her eyes drooled on her laptop, hopped on the couch and was in her own world.

Seeing how focused she was, he didn't want to interrupt her and observe her work for the entire afternoon. She must have a lot of things to do, which he didn't think of. Since she was here working for his project, he thought that should be her priority. He wasn't expecting her to plan for other things.

"Eat and then have your medicine."

"Ah.. umh." It should be about time for the anesthetic to wear off.

Hue Chi pulled the chair and gestured for Yu Sha to sit. She hesitated for a moment but remembered that he can't do anything to her for a month! Yu Sha gently got up and walked over to the dining table. He handed her the soup bowl. "Drink the soup first to."

"Uhm." She scooped a spoonful of the clear broth soup and drank it. Starting with something soupy can help open the intestine passage and provide lubrication to prevent choking. Yu Sha understood why he chose the soup first for her as she hasn't had anything the entire afternoon.

Another knock tapped on the door. Hue Chi went over to the door and Butler Zeu handed him a bag. The medication was picked up earlier, but Hue Chi didn't want any interruption as he saw how focused Yu Sha was. Thinking that she must have missed a lot of work in these few days, he gave her peace and space.

Hue Chi walked back to the dining table, opened the bag and took out the medication bottle. He looked at the instruction first before giving Yu Sha two pills. "Pain meds." He reached the pills to her lips.

"Oh.." She bit on the pill and drank the water glass.

After she took her pain medication that Hue Chi sat across and joined her for dinner.

Knowing that he won't be able to do anything for a while, Yu Sha wasn't weary of him, but spoke, hoping that he would leave. "If you feel responsible, don't be. I can take care of myself."

"I'm sorry for my selfishness." He apologized sincerely.

Yu Sha blushed. She didn't want to bring those times up. She decided to put it behind her. She felt she didn't resist him enough. She couldn't resist his embrace, her body couldn't. She could've done anything, threatened to harm herself, fight him to the death, but she didn't.

"Mhm. You can leave after dinner. I have a lot of work to catch up on."

Yu Sha finished dinner and took the laptop to the bedroom. She washed up, hopped on the bed and continued where she left off. She drafted jobs description, compiled construction budget, itemized everything in estimated cost and sent it to Su Na for review and approval. She broke down their current budget and stocks she sold. They should have enough money to get things started off the ground. She like to keep the stock with Herr's Corporation and Chronos. Those are funds she like to keep for last resort.

By the time when Yu Sha finished, it was already midnight. She opened the internet browser to read campaign trends, and the people running for upcoming offices. She familiarized herself with each of the politicians, their background, status, work they accomplished, their goals, and plans for the future. Who they were affiliated with, and who sponsored them.

Before long, her eyelids became heavier and heavier. She shifted her eyes down to the lower right corner of the screen and saw that it was way past midnight. She pushed the laptop aside and plopped on the bed.

A few minutes later, Hue Chi walked in and saw her sprawled diagonally on the bed. 'What's wrong with her?' She used to headbutt with him a lot, but lately he sensed that she doesn't resist him as much. Could he take it as that she had become more accepting of him?
