I’ve read many a quick wear novel about an FL trying to win over a male god. I like this one because the author doesn’t drag mud with water. The arcs aren’t too long. Its mostly about the pursuit, which is the only part I care about in a romance. Usually after the pursuit its endgame, like bam! Get married and have children, predictable, so I prefer the pursuit, the chase. The author doesn’t bother with what happens after they get together, which I like.

The pacing is well done and I approve of the FL’s strategy. She doesn’t move too fast, just right. She doesn’t think too much about past love, that doesn’t hold her back. This novel was able to make me feel, make me teary eyed. I enjoyed the tragedy, it was bittersweet and lovely. It does follow a typical quick wear plotline, but I think this story is well written although common, and I wished the author had continued her story.

If you are going to mtl this, be careful some arcs end abruptly, so you have to either find the missing chapter or wait till it pops up.
