The mission came suddenly, popping into Li Changhe's mind just as Ye Ming was inviting Xiao Nan.

Li Changhe's expression changed slightly, but not out of surprise at the mission's appearance. Instead, it was because... the moment the mission appeared, Xiao Nan, the class monitor, showed a slight change in her expression.

"It can't be a coincidence, so Xiao Nan is also... a Player?" Li Changhe was startled, recalling that Yang Dong, whom he saw last night, was Xiao Nan's new driver.

Li Changhe lowered his head to hide his expression, breaking out in a cold sweat.

He had been careless. If a [Player] had noticed his change in expression, his player identity might have been discovered.

Xiao Nan, the class monitor of Class 7, Grade 3, and Li Changhe could be considered childhood friends, having been classmates since they left the orphanage, from elementary school all the way to high school. They were almost like fated companions.

Xiao Nan was one of Li Changhe's few friends.

If Li Changhe were to name the person he trusted the most, it would be He Feng and Xiao Nan.

But now that Xiao Nan was a [Player], he had to be more careful. He could trust Xiao Nan, but was Xiao Nan alone?

Li Changhe quickly thought through the situation. So far, two [Players] had been identified: Xiao Nan and her new driver, Yang Dong. And Yang Dong was connected to the police and other official departments.

Analyzing the situation, Yang Dong was likely a member of the Chinese official organization [The Great Wall]. If he became Xiao Nan's driver, it was either for surveillance or protection.

Considering the recent strange events at Yan Yun, it was likely that they were caused by [Players].

Therefore, the probability of protection was higher.

In an instant, Li Changhe reached a conclusion: Xiao Nan was also a [Player] of [The Great Wall]! A member of the Chinese official organization! Otherwise, why would Yang Dong, also a [Player] of [The Great Wall], be her driver?

On the other side, Xiao Nan's expression had returned to its usual calm. She rejected Ye Ming's invitation, causing a commotion among the students watching.

Ye Ming was not surprised. As the talented beauty of Yan Yun, Xiao Nan was both beautiful and capable, kind to everyone but keeping her distance.

He shook his head with a hint of regret, scanning the crowd in the corridor, his gaze lingering on Li Changhe for a moment, with a strange look in his eyes.

"Tsk, what a fuss. This girl is giving me more work. You didn't cause much trouble when you were chubby." Li Changhe tsked, ignoring Ye Ming's gaze, and squeezed through the crowd with his backpack.

The only thing Li Changhe had that the wealthy students envied was his good relationship with Xiao Nan. They often joked and laughed together, making the other students green with envy.

If their statuses weren't so different, those who secretly or openly admired Xiao Nan would probably treat Li Changhe as a rival.

"Why? Why can this guy be so close to Xiao Nan?" Their eyes seemed to say. Seeing Li Changhe squeeze through the crowd, they wanted to say something.

But Li Changhe didn't even look at Ye Ming, walking past him with his backpack.

Then he heard Xiao Nan ask in a serious tone, "Dog Egg, where's the goods?"

Li Changhe paused for a moment, then responded in the same serious tone, "There's a mole, terminate the transaction!"

"Who's the mole?"

"Definitely not Gin!"

"Are you guys really acting this out?" Those who saw this scene inwardly complained.

The other students were used to it. In the class, only Xiao Nan and Li Changhe could really talk to each other. A talented girl was a talented girl, able to keep up with Li Changhe's pace.

The students who came to watch the commotion looked at Ye Ming with strange expressions. Xiao Nan and Ye Ming had talked very little just now.

Seeing the two ignore him and chat and laugh, Ye Ming's lips twitched. He turned and left.

Li Changhe, however, had no more interest in joking with Xiao Nan. After a few words, he returned to his seat in the classroom, listening to the homeroom teacher announce the class arrangements for the school anniversary.

In his mind, he silently pondered. He had accepted the [Mission], as he needed it to survive. But he needed to understand the details of the mission.

First, Xiao Nan's [Player] identity was confirmed, and she had likely accepted the mission as well. If they entered the instance at the same time, the chances of her discovering him were high.

He wasn't sure if the clothes in his [Player Backpack] could fool her. But he was confident in his disguise skills.

"Second, the information issue." While the homeroom teacher was assigning tasks to the students, Li Changhe dialed a number on his phone.

Pan Ke, known as 'The Omniscient.'

Despite his poor family background, he had become the drama club president of the college through his creative plot designs. Even a drama university had already announced its intention to recruit him.

His inspiration came from events around him, so he collected and investigated all the ghost stories and gossip he could.

For the ghost stories of the old campus of Yan Yun, he was the go-to person.

"The Omniscient, a classmate wants to check out the haunted house in Class 1, Grade 3. I heard it's quite eerie. Can you give me a guide?" Li Changhe quickly found an excuse.

"200!" Pan Ke replied quickly: "Considering you helped me take photos before, I'll only charge you 200. I'll give you detailed information about the old campus, making you shine in front of your classmates! I charge those rich kids 1000 for the same information."

Li Changhe was not surprised. Given their similar backgrounds, it was normal for Pan Ke, the 'Omniscient' of Yan Yun, to sell information to wealthy students, allowing them to show off in front of their classmates or girlfriends.

He reluctantly transferred two days' worth of part-time work money, thinking about the budget for the [Mission].

Pan Ke replied, "Thank you for your purchase. I wish you success in your dating." Then he sent over several files.

Li Changhe frowned and asked, "Has anyone else bought this information from you?"

"Although I usually can't disclose such private information, many people have bought it, including some from outside the school. The school anniversary is open to the public."

"Outside the school?" Li Changhe's eyes flickered: "Then they must be [Players]!"

Li Changhe didn't think anyone from outside would come to Yan Yun High School just to experience a haunted house. Why not go to a proper haunted house instead?

Moreover, there might be other [Players] in the school besides Xiao Nan.

Li Changhe subconsciously glanced at Xiao Nan, who was sitting in the front row of the classroom.

"She might have also bought the information from Pan Ke, or [The Great Wall] might have provided her with it." Thinking about this, Li Changhe tsked: "Meeting an acquaintance on my first mission is quite troublesome. I need to find a reason, or [The Great Wall] will discover that I bought the information too."
