Chapter 67

Hey, it's me. I'm the Greatest Professor Sunrak. Thanks to the two idiots who pushed all the blame onto me, I ended up manually guiding the newbies through their tutorials. I, the professor who is too great, am now the one who has to show the way in Nephilim Hollow and even face the Hell Jet punishment. I'm currently standing before the last graduate, reminiscing about the tough days (three hours ago) with a warm heart.
"From that bow-legged hover to this...!"
"Teacher...!"
I wipe away my tears by pressing my arm to my face, but since I'm on a Nephilim, the sound of metal hitting metal echoes emptily. But no matter how much I try to guide this dropout girl, she still can't fly straight, hovers with her legs apart, and stops moving to shoot... While other newbies are setting off on their journeys, she alone, she alone... damn, why did I have to struggle with her tutorial for three whole hours?!
"Kyogoku, the area you've reached is equivalent to the Assault Hover type."
"Assault, Hover...!"
"While it is tragically weak against long-range snipers, it has the potential to handle close and mid-range combat, even if the opponent is flying. Don't forget your dreams, Kyogoku... strength is always with you..."
"Teacher...!"
I hear a voice that seems to be choked with emotion, but at least in the original Nephilim, everyone has a uniformly closed-eyed, stern expression, devoid of any emotion or feeling.
"So, let's switch gears. Ultimately, the best practice is to get into the story or battles."
"Hmm, if you could help, Sunrak. Final Event? If we're aiming for that, I want to clear the story as quickly as possible."
Hmm... that's parasitic... but, well, since Rust is summoning everyone for the Final Event, this game probably won't hit Kyogoku's sweet spot like the Bakumatsu era... her Bakumatsu aptitude is supposed to be rarer, after all.
"Sure, I'll assist as much as I can."
"Thanks."
It's been a while since I've done the story. I think it starts with investigating a destroyed Nephilim, and as expected, it turns into a battle. This one is a bit tricky, so I might change my mech.
Five minutes later.
"Sorry for the wait."
"...What's that, what?"
"Story mission Nephilim 'Sparrow-B'"
"Sparrow... oh, no, B, so it's a Hornet!"
"Correct."
A Nephilim designed with the dumb idea that if you can close the distance and use a pile bunker to break through the core, you can win in one hit. I thought I'd only use it for the early stages since the later bosses have a lot of HP, but it turned out to be quite useful until the mid-game. It's a masterpiece born from a casual idea. I eventually settled on the Kingfisher, which can sweep everything away with brute force, but for NPC Nephilim, this more agile one is better. Corallus Lark? It's no good because it's packed with the flaws of the prototype.
"Shall we go?"
"Understood."
Assault Hover, essentially a Dom.
