Su Ce had never been so worried.
How could he forget… How could he forget to ask Tan Tu. How long are the orcs’ lifespan? Still, even if he knew now, it was too late.
The average lifespan of an orc can exceed to eight hundred years… maybe even more if he is healthy enough.
If he had known this earlier, he would not have promised to be with Tan Tu.
When the most cherished people of oneself left, he knew how painful it would be for those who stayed behind… Su Ce covered his face silently.
Others were still excited about Rui Ensi and Ka Mai’s love declaration, but he couldn’t hear such complicated voices at once.
The thought that in a few short decades he had to leave Tan Tu alone lingered in his mind... He couldn’t even leave him a child.
Tan Tu is a one-track-minded big man. If he dies early, he knew this guy will be despondent.
Su Ce discovered that for the first time he was especially reluctant to leave.
Such simplicity, such enrichment, such warmth, and peace…
Everything he never found on the earth is here, yet such a life is based on another person’s suffering for many years which was really sad.
Tan Tu watched the crowd of onlookers gradually disperse as he also returned to their bonfire and lowered Su Ce from his shoulder.
This time, Su Ce’s expression was not different from usual.
The small beast’s head burnt from the fire. Tan Tu hurriedly turned it around and continued to turn the fire over again.
Su Ce applied the seasoning with spicy, salty, and hemp taste, as well as some fried bone oil. Soon after brushing several times, the fragrance of roasted meat mixed with spices gradually spread out…
Tan Tu tore off several large pieces of meat on the branch without fear of scalding and handed them to Su Ce who took them and nibbled at them, while Tan Tu picked up the remaining half of its head and quickly chewed it up.
The taste was really good… But Su Ce was completely out of the mood to eat. He originally attended here today to have a good time because a rare festival in the tribe has come which aroused his interest in primitive culture. Unexpectedly, it only caused him undue anxieties.
Su Ce wondered whether he should confess his life experience to Tan Tu. But on second thoughts, he dismissed the idea.
Even if he tells him, he won’t understand… Since this is the case, why should he tell him? It will just make one more person worry. Even though Tan Tu is a famous warrior, what ability does he have to prolong a person’s life?
Things have changed like this, what he should think now is how to live the rest of his years… and the decision on Tan Tu, about their marriage.
Rui Ensi and Ka Mai’s affair were still being discussed among all the people. Su Ce’s mind was totally different from others thoughts but his face still showed an expression of listening while silently excluding the noise from the world and falling into one’s thoughts…
The bonfire banquet lasted until late at night. When many males were drunk with endless jealousy, their partners took them home with good spirits and a good laugh—of course, they did not forget to send their sincere wishes to their dear Rui Ensi.
At Rui Ensi’s insistence, he sent Ka Mai home. While other people also left one after another, Su Ce picked up the sundries beside the fire when he felt an arms wrapped around him from behind.
Tan Tu’s voice came. “Ah Ce, aren’t you happy? Is it too noisy…”
You see, Tan Tu, he who always paid more attention to his “Su Ce” than anybody else.
Su Ce turned around, raised his hand, and rubbed Tan Tu’s head as he smiled lightly. “I’m not unhappy.” Then asked, “What about you? Tan Tu, are you happy tonight?”
Tan Tu grinned, showing his big smile. “I’m the happiest as long as Ah Ce is by my side!”
Su Ce pulled the corners of his mouth and found that he could not keep the smile for long.
Tan Tu’s wish was simple, but he couldn’t do it… and he thought he could do it.
Su Ce watched Tan Tu’s still tough face in the moonlight and asked softly, “Tan Tu, if...if I die early, how long will it take you to forget me?”
Hearing this, Tan Tu’s smile froze. He dreadfully asked, “Ah Ce, what are you talking about? How can I forget you? No, no!” He shook his head violently again. “How can Ah Ce die early! I will protect you!”
Su Ce’s eyes softened. Holding Tan Tu’s face, pulling his head down, and touching his forehead against Tan Tu’s, he whispered, “Tan Tu, you're so stupid. There will still be accidents…” This orc world is very dangerous. If it’s an accident, perhaps Tan Tu can still cheer up after. It was better than knowing the long-determined death period and grinding him into despair in the endless countdown of time.
He gently added, “If I die… Tan Tu, find another partner who will take good care of you.”
Tan Tu suddenly held Su Ce’s shoulders, the anger was very evident on his face. This was the first time he had shown such terrible anger in front of Su Ce.
“Ah Ce! How can I find another person besides you!” He exclaimed, his anger suddenly descended, took Su Ce in his arms and sadly expressed, “What’s wrong, Ah Ce? How can you say such a thing...I said ah, I will protect you. Don’t you believe me? Moreover, even if you are not here, I will never like anybody else… Ah Ce.”
“Ah Ce...you are unique…”
Tan Tu seemed like he was about to cry, though he always thought it was impossible. But why does Ah Ce’s expression made him feel that he said it so seriously?
Impossible, he will only be with Ah Ce.
Su Ce buried his head in Tan Tu’s arms and his eyes gradually turned red.
It’s not like he won’t be sad, but long ago, he already sealed his sadness in his memory. But all of a sudden, this feeling now resurrected in him.
It is because Tan Tu is always so stupid that he’s so reluctant to give up on him… Once he will be old, sick and dead, what could he do?
Tan Tu being like this, how could he have the heart to tell him the truth?
Su Ce closed his eyes and sighed. He calmed himself down. In any case, the facts cannot be changed. All he has to do now is ignore and let all the days with Tan Tu be as easy, calm, peaceful, and happy as before. No matter what, he hoped that even after Tan Tu lost him and thought of the past, there would be enough good life for him to remember.
In Tan Tu’s memory, Su Ce must not be sad with the reason of “waiting to die in sorrow all day long”.
Tan Tu and Su Ce hugged each other tightly. After a long time, Su Ce gently pushed him away.
Tan Tu was still nervous. He stared at Su Ce’s face and said nothing.
Su Ce smiled, took Tan Tu’s hand and walked to their home. “It's nothing, I just suddenly thought of this problem. Did I scare you?”
Tan Tu nodded without hesitation. “Ah Ce scared me. I’m scared.”
Su Ce quickened his pace. “Don’t be scared, Tan Tu. That…”
“That, I just talked casually.”
Tan Tu followed Su Ce. He looked at his Ah Ce’s back and nodded slowly.
Ah Ce is right. He believed in Ah Ce.
They soon returned home, took a shower, and lay on the hide exclusively for the two of them.
Ah Ce’s eyes glistened in the moonlight penetrating through the window lattice. The divine color in his eyes had always been beautiful that Tan Tu always fascinated and wanted to lick it. Ah Ce’s body was slender and fair in the moonlight and every inch was so symmetrical. Tan Tu likes to touch and kiss. He couldn’t stop every time he kissed. Su Ce always indulged him like this.
Tan Tu has always felt that he got the best female in the world, making him so happy.
But today, why does he think his Ah Ce is suddenly disappearing?
Su Ce still accommodated Tan Tu’s surging desire tonight. He actually likes to stick to Tan Tu’s skin, likes his entrance, and likes to be combined with him.
It feels like two people merge into one, they are the most intimate people in the world.
Tan Tu is Su Ce’s home in this world. Only when he is there does Su Ce feels that he exists.
Tan Tu is out of the ordinary tonight. He was fierce...like some wild beast savaging its prey. Compared with their wedding night, he was more forceful and impatient, as if to make him melt completely into flesh and blood.
Su Ce knew that Tan Tu was still affected by his words.
But it doesn’t matter.
No matter what kind of Tan Tu is, he is the same as his favorite...and loves dearly.
He will be well with him, no matter how long.
