Su Ce watched the man stride towards him and couldn’t help but step back.
This reaction is subtly similar to the first time he saw the lion... However! You can’t ask an ordinary normal office worker to see such a strange situation without any reaction at all, can you?
The lion-turned-man showed an aggrieved expression when he saw his action.
Su Ce pushed his glasses, “I’m sorry, are you a lion or a human?”
The man rushed excitedly and stopped one meter in front of him.
What a big wind...
Su Ce put his hand on the towel that was about to float and asked again, ”What are you?”
The man smiled, “@¥#*&%¥#¥@#@!”
……That was fast.
Su Ce frowned slightly. He felt that the language wasn’t common but he seemed familiar with it. “Say it again slowly.” He said solemnly.
The man tilted his head, obviously didn’t understand.
Su Ce eerily remembered the lion just now... it wasn’t an illusion, even the actions are the same. So Su Ce decided to express it with actions.
First, he pointed to a stone. The man looked at him strangely and said one syllable. Su Ce nodded and secondly pointed to the tree next to him. The man uttered different syllable again.
Su Ce confirmed. He did know what the man said.
It should be a language called “Lā Wū”. When he promised his Senior to go to the hot spring that night, he was reading the original document of such language. He was fascinated by the rare words section of the library for a period of time when he was in college. There, he met a mentor who also loved rare words and eventually had certain contacts.
TN: Not sure what the language Lā Wū means. I just put the pinyin word there.?
And Su Ce got the information of this language from that mentor.
It is said that there is an old peculiar ancient rhythm but now an untraceable text circulating within an ethnic group. Su Ce was lured by this language and chose it for research and study. By the time he got out of University, he had begun to speak Lā Wū. Although the work that followed was very busy, once there was some spare time, Su Ce would come back to read some corresponding original documents. He didn’t expect to hear it from the lion turned man speaking out in this place where he didn’t know which experimental base this was.
Truthfully, if he didn’t really believe his eyes and judgements, he would think that this Lā Wū speaking man was a dream created by his too much love for primitive culture. And obviously, if it was really a dream, the place where he was scratched by the bark when climbing wouldn’t still feel burning pain.
Therefore, Su Ce believes that his short-lived speculation was correct— this guy who he doesn’t know whether it’s a lion or human should be genetically modified product.
Is it possible that the fused human genes belong to the Lā Wū ethnic group...
Considering that he don’t known whether the gene created by this guy was a larger proportion of human or of lion. Su Ce also doubted the intellectual problem of this guy. If it’s the former, its IQ may not understood too complicated things. So now, he wants to communicate with him. The key is to let him speak a little slower... How should he do it...
Su Ce decided to strike first. He thought it over and speak Lā Wū in a less fluent tone slowly, “Hello, okay, slow down, can you speak?
The guy blinked then nodded at once. “Okay. My name is Tan Tu. What’s your name?”
Su Ce blinked back. “Su Ce.”
The lion turned man carefully ask, “Can I call you Ah Ce?”
It’s the same name as the Senior calls him... Thinking of knowing some news about this place from this guy’s mouth, Su Ce kindly agreed to the other side’s plan of getting closer, “Of course.”
This guy doesn’t seem to have any plans to part ways with him so he takes some time to get used to the language then inquire about the situation in detail.
Tan Tu was delighted.
First, the female seems to not dissatisfied with his appearance but shows great interest. Then, she was willing to communicate with him... Well, although the female was not very accustomed to the common language, she can at least say it? This also shows that although the female’s tribe is probably remote, it doesn’t seem as secretive as he expected. However, when Tan Tu expresses his desire to further contact with females— in Kanda, males can’t use nicknames for females unless they agree. While males usually feel good if they agree— in tribal customs, that’s what males are allowed to pursue them.
This beautiful female doesn’t exclude herself... What great news!
In addition, the female is not familiar with the common language of the mainland. Along the way, she can practice with him more. This is undoubtedly another chip that can deepen the female’s affection for him. He has to make good use of it!
Tan Tu made a decision in his mind. He put his eyes back on the female.
Suddenly, he found something out of the blue.
The female was injured!
On the exposed part of the female’s body, the delicate skin, there are obviously many clear bruises and scratches. Tan Tu remembered that the female almost fell from the tree! Not to mention the attack of the short eyed leopard... Oh dear, what did he do!
Tan Tu is very regretful. He shouldn’t leave the female here alone and go hunting by himself. He hoped the female won’t be too angry about this.
He really likes him and wants to have a baby for himself.
In his heart, he silently worked hard for his self. Tan Tu leaned over and bent down to keep his eyes at the same time as the female. Many females have high self-esteem. If any male dared to face her with his chin, she would run away. Tan Tu certainly didn’t want to take this risk.
Clearing his throat, Tan Tu looked at the female expectantly and asked, “Ah Ce, do you want me to lick it for you?”
Lick...what?
The word turned around his mind. Su Ce lowered his head and saw the scars on his waist and arms. Did he mean this? He remembered that this man might not be a man. In the animal world, licking the wound is actually a very common thing. It seems that this guy’s genes of lion and human are well integrated. It should be a successful product.
Su Ce felt he had thought it through, he shook his head calmly, “No need. Thank you.”
Then he saw a glimmer of disappointment in the guy’s eyes.
In fact, Tan Tu was really disappointed.
If the female was to agree, it could mean they have gone further... It seems that the female is angry because he didn’t protect her. He has to do something. Absolutely! He can’t let the female judge him out like this...
So it’s natural that in the next few days, Tan Tu was very enthusiastic to communicate with his favorite Ah Ce. He wanted to use this to make a good impression on the other side, and work hard on hunting— he will surely bring the female with him this time. Also to show off his intrepid force.
Su Ce found that the lion named “Tan Tu” turned man was very noisy. He likes to talk and always deliberately repeated some things around him in Lā Wū words, as if he was teaching him to speak it... Maybe he really is teaching him to speak?
He had to say that Tan Tu’s practice made him quickly familiar with the language. Although he used to read slowly, there were still some problems in communication with this language. Just like learning English, some people with language talent often get high marks in written examinations, but this doesn’t mean that they can fully understand every word without subtitles just like when watching European and American movies.
Also, during these days, Su Ce noticed that he seems to be taken care of by Tan Tu in every possible way.
This is absolutely not an illusion.
First of all, this man Tan Tu will still go hunting but he’ll take himself with him, and the food he gets must be eaten by him first.
Although he still couldn’t bite.
Tan Tu will come up with variety of ways to let him eat some meat— this can’t blame him. Even if Su Ce wants to ignore the internal organs and fur and directly roast it on fire, the cooked food was still flexible— he tried to take a bite, then he heard the sound of his teeth like they were going to slap, he immediately stopped.
Although the man thought of some unreliable ways, such as chewing and feeding him... Su Ce knows animal in nature sometimes do this when feeding cubs, but this doesn’t mean that he, a pure human, can eat such a mass of unknown substances mixed with saliva without any mustard.
It wasn’t until Su Ce saw the man in a hurry that he asked the man to tear the meat into thin shreds with his claws then washed it with water, smashed the stones, wrapped it with leaves, then baked it.
After making many inferences and overthrowing them one after another, Su Ce decided to ask directly.
After dinner, he grabbed the man’s arm and said, “...why did you follow me?”
Tan Tu blushed. (with shame and embarrassment)
