"You have your mission, which is to continue this legacy. In other words, your greatest identity now is no longer a weapon, but a responsibility, a mission, a carrier of responsibility and mission."
"This is your purpose."
"Although you have developed intelligence and gradually transcended the fate of a weapon, your mission is still a task you must complete. Am I right?"
This time, there was no sarcasm or ridicule, but after a moment of silence, a reluctant but agreeing emotion emerged.
A blurry blade flew out and floated in front of Feng Yin.
It took on a stance of defiance.
Clearly, Feng Yin's monologue, as if he were convincing the air, made this proud blade feel ignored.
Are you convincing yourself by talking to yourself?
It jumped out to engage in dialogue, so I can still have some presence!
Seeing this thing actually jump out without trying to grab the spirit soul bead, Feng Yin felt even more confident.
"Since you chose me, and I activated you under certain circumstances, your mission is now bound to me. I believe you understand that to complete your mission, you must go through me, and only I can help you achieve it."
The blade shadow was silent, slightly swaying.
"In other words, we are now in an inseparable state. You can't do without me, and I can't do without you. At least, without me, your mission is hopeless." Feng Yin probed.
After a long silence, there was a bit of agreement.
The blade tip bent as if it were nodding.
Then it straightened, bent again, and straightened again.
This indicated a nod: what you said makes some sense.
Feng Yin was almost stunned!
A blade nodding by bending itself?
For a moment, his mind was in a knot, almost forgetting what he was going to say. After some thought, he regained his composure.
"But you need to understand your position. We are indeed inseparable now, and without me, you can't achieve your mission. However, I might not necessarily need you. I have the Spirit Transformation Scripture, and with this alone, reaching the peak is just a matter of time. With you, it might speed up the process, but it's just a matter of speeding it up."
The blade shadow expanded.
Suddenly, it started slashing wildly in all directions, filling every inch with blade light.
The resistance and irritability suddenly burst out.
I am useful, I am very useful!
Feng Yin, seeing the sudden blade light filling his vision, was momentarily stunned, then said, "Think about it and judge for yourself. For example, if I don't want to, you get nothing. If we keep opposing each other, I just miss an opportunity, but you will never have any hope again."
"I am the one in control, right?"
The scattered blade shadows returned to one, motionless.
But a stubborn aura spread out.
"Also, based on my judgment of the Spirit Transformation Scripture, this powerful technique can be applied to spirit beasts, demons, humans, and plants. Could there be even more unpredictable applications?"
The blade tip pointed to the sky, silent, dead silent.
I won't tell you!
"I can choose to never use you, to keep you dormant indefinitely, until my cultivation reaches a level where I can remove you from my body. I believe you understand that while I can't do it now, once my cultivation reaches a very high level, I can. Right?"
This time, the silence of the blade shadow had a different meaning.
A long silence.
Feng Yin had said everything, using both threats and inducements. The rest was up to the little blade to decide.
The little blade admitted that everything Feng Yin said was true, including the more powerful and unpredictable applications of the Spirit Transformation Scripture, and the fact that reaching a very high level of cultivation could indeed expel it.
Although it would take an immeasurable amount of time, theoretically, it was possible.
For example, reaching the Saint level, or even the Near-Saint level...
For Feng Yin, who already possessed the Spirit Transformation Scripture, reaching that level was just a matter of time.
This point could not be denied.
The little blade's self-persistence was one thing, but it faced reality squarely, without blindly denying it or denying it just for the sake of denial.
Thinking about this, the straight blade shadow drooped like a young seedling under the scorching sun, deprived of water.
It looked like it had lost a battle.
Seeing the other side's appearance, Feng Yin felt a great sense of relief, even a sense of victory.
I thought it was an unbeatable, powerful thing, but it turns out to be just this.
In less than five hours, it's almost done?
From the looks of it, even with intelligence, it's not that smart.
Was what Feng Yin said just now reasonable?
Of course, it was reasonable.
Definitely reasonable!
If it wasn't reasonable, why would the little blade be so dejected?
But being reasonable doesn't mean it's achievable.
Anyone who has studied physics knows that with a fulcrum and a long enough lever, a person can move the Earth. But how to find the fulcrum, how to make a long enough lever, and how to ensure the quality of the lever—no one can actually do it.
This is an undeniable impossibility.
Feng Yin, starting from his own perspective, used words to threaten and induce, appealing to emotion and reason, offering benefits, but it was still just talk.
Because even if he could reach that level, it would require countless prerequisites.
But the little blade, unlike Feng Yin, truly understood the power of the Spirit Transformation Scripture. With the power of the Spirit Transformation Scripture, Feng Yin could indeed cultivate to that level, as long as he didn't die, continued to cultivate for a long time, and had some fortunate encounters and persistent efforts.
Because the creator who made it had already reached that level, there was a concrete example and specific operational facts!
There was a precedent.
Based on this, it was even harder to deny.
"I have one last point, or perhaps the most important point. Although you have developed intelligence, fundamentally, you are still just a blade. It's impossible for you to reach the peak on your own. I believe you understand this, right?"
Feng Yin said.
The blade shadow
