After plowing the field, I transplanted wild vegetables, nuts, herbs, and fruits collected from the forest.
Then, I took care of the field, gathered food, and hunted moderately.
After continuing this lifestyle for about a month, some of the crops grew enough to be harvested.
"Should I harvest some?"
I decided to harvest the crops, bringing along my partner, Rento.
The Gravelingos and Pink Cherries hadn't yet borne fruit, but they had grown quite large, and I had even set up supports for them.
They would soon spread their branches and leaves and grow even larger. I was very much looking forward to them bearing fruit.
The area where wild vegetables like Udo, Uru-i, Fuki, Kogomi, and Zenmai grew was very lush.
Normally, one would focus on increasing the number of plants in the first year, but thanks to the growth promotion by the blessing, the number of plants increased rapidly.
With this many, it wouldn't be a problem to harvest some.
Rento and I started harvesting the wild vegetables.
For the Zenmai, I left the taller spore leaves for the next growth and picked the others by hand, placing them in a basket.
It felt strange to harvest something I had watched grow every day.
There was a sense of accomplishment in finally being able to eat them, but also a feeling of guilt for picking what I had nurtured.
It gave me a profound sense of reflection.
Rento was helping me harvest as well.
His large hands picking the small Zenmai was quite a surreal sight.
At first, Rento was not good at picking small things, but he had gotten used to it as he took care of the field and was now quite skilled at it.
We also harvested enough Udo, Uru-i, Fuki, and Kogomi to eat.
Of course, we didn't pick everything. We left enough for the next harvest.
After finishing the wild vegetables, we moved on to harvesting Oligo fruits and Mochimochi fruits.
These were used frequently in cooking and eating, so the area was much larger compared to the wild vegetable area.
Especially the Mochimochi fruits, which had become my staple food, had been transplanted and planted every time I found them, making this area the largest.
"The Oligo fruits are a good size."
The pale green fruits were very vivid.
Oligo oil is essential for stir-frying, and I also use it with Mochimochi fruits and deep-fried wild vegetables. It's very convenient and useful.
It was very helpful that they were ready to be harvested.
I carefully picked the fruits that were large enough.
After harvesting the Oligo fruits, it was time for the Mochimochi fruits.
In the vast Mochimochi field, many fruits were swelling.
Since they had become my staple food, I took care of them almost every day.
Eating them made a big difference in how full I felt.
I peeled the skin of one nearby and found a large Mochi fruit inside.
When I picked it and pinched it, it stretched and tore with a mochi-like texture.
" Hmm? It's sweeter than the ones I've collected?"
When I tasted it, it seemed sweeter than the ones I had collected from the forest.
Since I ate the collected ones almost every day, I was confident in my ability to judge the taste.
I took another bite, and it still tasted better than usual.
"Are the crops I grow sweeter than those found in nature?"
Curious, I washed some Uru-i and took a bite.
The smooth, crunchy texture and the slight bitterness similar to long onions were more intense and fresher than the wild ones.
"Indeed, the ones I grow taste better."
This was probably due to the power of the blessing.
The god of abundance seemed to give a boost to the crops I grew.
"Knowing this, I want to grow even more delicious things here."
Rento and I had a limit to how much we could take care of, so there were still new ingredients we hadn't transplanted or grown.
We had been collecting and eating them when we had other tasks, but if the taste was also enhanced, we should consider growing them.
"Since our life has become more stable and we have more free time, maybe I should expand the field."
If we could harvest and eat what we had here, we wouldn't need to go out to collect as often.
We could also increase the number of wooden golems, which we could consider.

After finishing harvesting the food, I moved to the herb garden to pick herbs like Dokudami, Itandrin, Shakkaku, and Otokirikusa.
Some of these could be used as is after crushing, but others needed to be dried first, so I processed them accordingly.
Thanks to the blessing, I had a good knowledge of these procedures, so it was easy.
Today, I just needed to dry them in the sun, but it's good to prepare them while I'm healthy.
Some simple ones could be used by floating them in hot water, which is good for the body and can be used as a mouthwash to prevent colds.
I decided to make them during my free time for a healthy lifestyle.
After finishing harvesting the herbs, I had some time left.
Since we had harvested food, we didn't need to go out to collect, and Rento had already fetched water this morning. The wild boar we had hunted was being smoked and aged.
"Since I have some time, I might as well practice my abilities."
It had been over a month since I came to this world, but I still hadn't fully grasped my powers.
For self-defense and to enrich my life, it was important to understand my abilities.
First, I was curious about how large I could grow a tree.
From my experience, I knew I could grow trees as large as those in the forest, but I hadn't tried growing anything larger.
Curious, I moved to a wide-open area and tried growing a tree with my staff.
As I willed it to grow larger, the tree sprouted from the ground and stretched high into the sky.
It continued to grow, surpassing the size of the trees in the forest and spreading its branches and leaves.
It easily exceeded several dozen meters, covering the sky.
"Whoa, this is bad!"
The roots had grown thick and spread widely, so I stopped the growth.
I had grown a fairly large tree, but I didn't feel particularly tired.
If I had let it grow, it would have become even larger. It was a good thing I moved to a wide-open area.
If I had grown it in front of the house, it might have affected the field and created shade.
At least I knew I could grow a tree over a hundred meters tall.
I could also make it smaller or larger with ease.
The large tree suddenly shrank and returned to its original size.
It felt like watching a time-lapse of a plant growing or rewinding it.
"Still, it grew incredibly fast."
When I grew plants, they sprouted from the ground at an incredible speed.
Could I use this speed to move?
I tried growing a tree at my feet, and it lifted me up.
"Whoa!"
However, the force was stronger than I expected, and I almost fell off, but Rento supported me.
Dangerous. I would have been injured if I had fallen.
"Thanks, Rento."
With Rento's help, I managed to stand on the tree.
Rento then jumped and climbed onto the tree behind me.
Despite his large size, he moved quite nimbly and had good balance.
Once I stabilized, I tried extending the tree, and Rento and I moved forward.
"Wow, amazing!"
I could bend the tree and move in different directions while we were on it.
If I turned too sharply, inertia would almost throw us off, but Rento supported me again.
...You really are considerate.
To deal with inertia, I could shift my weight or wrap vines around my body to prevent falling.
We moved freely through the forest, which was much faster than running. It felt like riding a large snake.
Using this method, we could reduce travel time and escape if necessary.
I spent the whole day practicing my abilities.
