Inside the tower, in front of the stone table, He Ping looked at the Portable Armory System, which had been upgraded to Level 2, with great joy. His efforts over the past few days had finally paid off. Out of the total 1,030 resource points he had accumulated, 1,020 had been converted into various equipment, which he sold to Wen Fang at high prices. Now, the Portable Armory System had been upgraded to Level 2, and all the indicators had improved. Although the 10,000 resource points required for the next level made him a bit nervous, it was a minor issue.

He had already confirmed that the door marked "Main World" was now usable, just like the door to the Armory World. This meant he could return home at any time! However, he was slightly puzzled by the fact that even though the door was now usable, the time marked on it had not changed and remained fixed. Fortunately, this was a beneficial surprise. If the time was fixed, then Xia Xingxuan wouldn't need to rush.

Since the system had been upgraded to Level 2, there were many things He Ping needed to confirm. For example, two new lines had appeared in the indicators: the current maximum daily production of consumables and the maximum inventory of consumables. These were not present before. While items like compressed biscuits were considered consumables, they still required resource points to produce and occupied the maximum inventory. The system did not classify them as consumables. So, what did these consumables mean?

Continuing his inspection, He Ping discovered the biggest change in the Level 2 system: the number of weapon and equipment types that could be produced and sold had significantly increased. At Level 1, there were many restrictions, such as single-handed equipment that did not use additional energy. Now, the types of weapons and equipment that could be produced and sold had expanded to "all single-person handheld equipment," and the biggest restriction of not using additional energy was removed.

With a thought, a sleek pistol appeared in He Ping's hand. The USP.45 Tactical, developed and produced by Heckler & Koch (H&K), was a .45 caliber pistol with a 12-round magazine capacity. It could be equipped with a silencer, flash suppressor, tactical flashlight, and other tactical accessories, making it a highly practical and offensive handgun. This was a genuine firearm, favored by military units, especially special forces, around the world.

Playing with the pistol in his hand, He Ping felt incredibly excited. Indeed, after the system upgrade to Level 2 and the removal of the restriction on additional energy, all single-person firearms were now on the list of producible and sellable items. This included not only pistols but also submachine guns, shotguns, assault rifles, battle rifles, light machine guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and single-person rocket launchers. However, heavy machine guns and mortars, while technically single-person usable, were typically operated by multiple people in standard use, so they could not be produced.

In addition to various firearms, special weapons like grenades, flashbangs, concussion grenades, and Claymore mines were also on the list. Night vision devices, infrared sights, and tactical flashlights, which required batteries, could now be produced. He Ping's arsenal had instantly evolved from the primitive cold weapon era to the powerful firearm era. With these weapons and equipment, his combat capabilities had improved immensely.

He Ping now understood what the consumables were. They were various types of ammunition and batteries. While weapons like grenades were also consumables, they still required resource points to produce and occupied the maximum inventory. However, bullets and batteries did not require resource points. As long as they were within the daily production limit and the maximum inventory of consumables was not full, they could be produced freely, with only the type of ammunition and batteries needing attention.

He Ping disassembled the USP.45 Tactical pistol into a pile of parts and then reassembled it into a complete pistol. After a few rounds of disassembly and reassembly, he became very familiar with the pistol. He also found that the process of disassembling and reassembling the pistol was quite enjoyable and could serve as a good pastime. However, he didn't have time for leisure at the moment because he had another important task to complete before returning home: skill points.

Due to the system upgrade, he had gained 10 special skill points and 20 extra skill points. Skill points were a good thing, and if there were no special circumstances, He Ping planned to use them immediately. He first chose to learn extra skills. He had already maxed out his proficiency in long weapons, and the remaining 20 extra skill points could be used to max out two more weapon proficiencies or to learn all four halfway.

Specialization or versatility? If he had just arrived, He Ping might have chosen versatility, but after experiencing the benefits of long weapon proficiency, he chose specialization without hesitation. His first choice was proficiency in ranged weapons. Without any hesitation, he spent 10 extra skill points to max out this proficiency. Like long weapon proficiency, four abilities appeared under ranged weapon proficiency: "Crossbow Proficiency," "Bow Proficiency," "Throwing Knife Proficiency," and "Javelin Proficiency."

Although only four weapon names were listed, these four weapons well represented all ranged weapons: pure mechanical projectile, semi-mechanical projectile, pure strength throw, and large throw. Other ranged weapons could also be roughly categorized into these four types. Feeling the surge of power in his body, He Ping nodded in satisfaction. Next, he spent the remaining 10 extra skill points on proficiency in assassination weapons.

"Knife Proficiency," "Knuckle Proficiency," "Military Dagger Proficiency," and "Claw Proficiency" were the four categories, representing all close-combat assassination weapons. Any weapon that required the user to be extremely close to the target, such as iron rings, fist swords, sleeve swords, triangular daggers, and Emei daggers, fell into this category. He Ping chose assassination weapons for a simple reason: they were the most useful for his current stage. His mastery of weapon usage techniques had already allowed him to transcend the stage of choosing weapons based on appearance.

For the 10 special skill points, He Ping used 1 point to unlock the "Replay" ability under the Time category and another point to increase the Speed category. The remaining 8 points were allocated to the Reaction and Stealth categories, 4 points each, directly maxing out both to Level 5. Two new usable abilities appeared: "Focus" under the Reaction category and "Stealth" under the Stealth category!
