One minute passed, and Wang Tong's heart still showed no response. A young nurse noticed the fine beads of sweat on Yang Luo's forehead and took out a handkerchief to wipe it away, preventing the sweat from dripping into the incision and causing an infection.
Yang Luo suddenly increased the pressure of his chest compressions. The old doctor shook his head, feeling that there was no hope. But at that moment, a miracle happened—the heart monitor beeped once. Yang Luo's spirits lifted, and he increased the pressure even more. The heart monitor began to beep continuously.
A young nurse couldn't contain her excitement and exclaimed, "It's beating! It's beating!"
The old doctor quickly said, "Quick! Connect the defibrillator."
A nurse hurriedly connected the defibrillator, and at that moment, Yang Luo also removed his hand from the chest compressions. "Scalpel," he said.
The old doctor quickly handed him the scalpel.
Yang Luo took it and made an incision, "Surgical forceps." The old doctor then handed him the forceps.
Yang Luo didn't use a microscope. He inserted the forceps into the wound and accurately found the bullet, extracting it.
"Phew!"
Yang Luo took a deep breath and dropped the bloodied bullet into the tray, saying, "Microscope." A young nurse quickly pushed the microscope in front of him and looked at him with admiration.
Watching the heart beat more strongly, Yang Luo began to suture. This time, the doctors and nurses witnessed what truly exceptional suturing skills looked like. Yang Luo's hands moved like a precision machine, each stitch precise and flawless.
Twenty minutes later, Yang Luo straightened up and said, "Wife! I finally brought you back from the brink of death."
Hearing his words, everyone present finally understood why Yang Luo had been so determined to save her. The injured person was his wife. They all felt fortunate for Wang Tong, as she had married a good husband with such exceptional medical skills, who had managed to bring her back from the dead, even after her heart had stopped.
The old doctor, however, wasn't thinking about this. He was now interested in Yang Luo's identity and quickly followed him as he walked out.
Wei Yong and the others saw Yang Luo come out and immediately surrounded him. "How is she?" Although they didn't really believe that Yang Luo could save Wang Tong, they still held a glimmer of hope.
The old doctor smiled and said, "Today, I've seen what world-class medical skills look like. I am Qian Guorui, a professor and doctoral supervisor at Fudan University's Medical School."
Yang Luo smiled and simply replied, "Yang Luo!"
Qian Guorui didn't mind, "Doctor Yang! Where do you work now? Are you interested in coming here? I can offer you excellent compensation." If he knew about Yang Luo's reputation abroad and the fact that the Mayo Clinic had once offered him a million-dollar salary, he wouldn't have said this.
Yang Luo shook his head, "I'm not a doctor now; I'm a police officer."
"Ah?" Qian Guorui's mouth dropped open in shock.
Jiang Cheng, Wei Yong, and the others still didn't quite believe Qian Guorui's words. When the nurse wheeled Wang Tong out and they heard her faint breathing, they all stared at Yang Luo with wide eyes.
Yang Luo didn't pay them any attention and followed the young nurse into the intensive care unit. After checking and finding no issues, he said, "Monitor her 24/7 until she wakes up."
