Yang Luo completely ignored them, put away his gun, and looked at Bei Yin Yao, saying, "Are you okay?"
Bei Yin Yao's face was pale, clearly frightened. After a long while, she finally caught her breath and said, "Thank you for saving me." She then took out a business card from her bag and handed it to him, "This is my business card. If you need any help in the future, you can come find me."
Yang Luo had just taken the card when he heard a furious roar from behind: "Who the hell are you? Do you know how dangerous it was to fire that gun just now? What if you hurt the hostage? Can you take responsibility for that?"
A cold light flashed in Yang Luo's eyes, and he slowly turned around and said, "Who I am is not important. What's important is that the hostage is safe and the criminal has been killed. What's the point of you being here now?"
"You, you..." The fat man pointed at Yang Luo, unable to speak.
The commander of the special police force walked over, saluted, and said, "Comrade! Please show me your ID." Yang Luo looked at the major in front of him, took out his ID card, and handed it to the major.
The major did not take it, "I need your military ID."
Yang Luo suddenly laughed, the cold expression on his face disappearing, which made people feel very uncomfortable. The expression on his face was really asking for a beating.
"Comrade, I don't have a military ID, only an ID card. Besides, do I look like a soldier? My profession is a thug."
Hearing Yang Luo's words, the fat man became nervous and raised his gun, saying, "Put your hands up."
Yang Luo puffed out his chest and shouted, "What's so great about being a cop? Don't forget that I saved the hostage, I'm a hero who acted bravely for justice." The fat man's face turned red with anger. Faced with so many police officers and guns pointing at him, this guy was still so arrogant and talking nonsense.
"You're still a hero? Look at you, you don't even look like a thug, at most you're just a vagrant," the fat man cursed.
Yang Luo scratched his hair, which looked like a bird's nest, and then looked at his clothes, which were full of holes: "Are you saying I don't look like a thug?"
The fat man's face turned green. A police officer beside him tried hard not to laugh and said, "Chief! I think this guy has mental problems."
Yang Luo suddenly said seriously, "It seems I need to change my image."
"Ha!" Behind him, Bei Yin Yao couldn't help but laugh, and the fear from earlier vanished completely.
The major said sternly, "Comrade, please hand over your gun."
Yang Luo turned his head and looked at him, "Why should I hand over my gun?"
"Damn it!" The fat man couldn't hold back and raised his hand to slap Yang Luo's face.
"Slap!"
Yang Luo grabbed the fat man's wrist and said with a grin, "Fatso! Don't ever fight with a professional thug, or you'll get beaten up." The fat man used all his strength to try to break free, but Yang Luo's not-so-strong-looking arm was like a root, immovable.
A police officer nearby saw his chief being 'held hostage' and pressed his gun against Yang Luo's head, "Let go of our chief right now, or I'll shoot."
Yang Luo let go of his hand very quickly. The fat man was still struggling with Yang Luo and, caught off guard, lost his balance and fell backward, landing solidly on the ground with a "thud."
"Ha ha ha..." The crowd watching the spectacle burst into laughter.
The fat man's face turned from green to red, his eyes blazing with fury. He got up and suddenly rushed at Yang Luo. When had he ever been so humiliated? When had he ever lost face like this, especially in front of thousands of onlookers? This was a huge embarrassment.
