Chapter 35: A Lone Commander

After entering the house, Ye Huang noticed that Xiao Lin and Luo Yumo were wandering around the building, going from one room to another. Eventually, they returned to the living room and sat on the sofa.

Seeing the two girls come back, Ye Huang sat down beside them and said smugly, "How about it, ladies? My house isn't bad, right? Why did you come back down after running around for so long? Haven't you found your rooms yet? Are you having trouble choosing?"

"Pfft! What's there to be so proud of? It's just a mediocre renovation. Ordinary apartments these days are much better, and they're all personalized. Look at your place; everything is the same!" Xiao Lin picked an apple from the table, took a bite, and said dismissively. She and Yumo had toured the three-story villa and found it to be top-notch in both location and design, but every room seemed to have the same layout. She pouted and added, "What a disappointment."

"What! Miss, open your eyes and take a good look. Can ordinary apartments compare to my villa, which cost over a hundred million dollars to renovate? You're really trying to crush me, aren't you? I seriously doubt you have such big eyes just to see things or to breathe!" Ye Huang was furious when he heard her speak such nonsense, comparing his hundred-million-dollar house to ordinary apartments.

"You! Filthy rogue, do you think your house is the White House or something? A hundred million dollars? I bet it's only a few million. Don't think I don't know!" Xiao Lin was feeling smug as she watched Ye Huang get angry, but she didn't expect him to lash out at her again, throwing the apple and loudly countering.

"So what if it's the White House? I've been inside the White House several times, and I don't even think much of its security system!" Ye Huang didn't back down. During his years as an assassin, he had visited the White House many times. The security system could stop assassins from other countries, but it couldn't stop him.

"Yumo, look, there are so many cows flying in the sky." Ye Huang said this, and Xiao Lin rolled her eyes, pulling Luo Yumo, who was covering her mouth and giggling, to look up at the ceiling, muttering.

"Yes, there are so many flying cows. Linlin, do you think someone is blowing hot air here?" Luo Yumo, seeing the two of them glaring at each other, immediately took Xiao Lin's side, smiling at Ye Huang, who was speechless.

"Damn it, I didn't realize this girl has the ability to deceive people. I shouldn't have let Yumo get too close to her. In just a few minutes, they're already united against me. I need to draft a document to prevent these girls from teaming up against me in the future, or I'll be in trouble!" "I'm already a lone commander, so why wait for the future? Damn it, I don't know if letting this girl stay here is a blessing or a curse?" Ye Huang felt like crying, his heart aching. His plan to cultivate beautiful women seemed to be veering off course from the start, and it might end up being a plan to cultivate a landlord.

"Hey! Filthy scoundrel, what's that look on your face? Didn't you hear what I said?" Xiao Lin, seeing Ye Huang's tragic expression, was annoyed and waved her hand in front of his face.

"No, I was just looking at the flying cows. I was hoping one would fall and knock out the pirate in front of me, so I could escape this misery." Ye Huang looked at the ceiling and said seriously.

Seeing Ye Huang's pitiful appearance, Xiao Lin and Luo Yumo were stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing. "You're not a tigress, but you're worse than one!" Ye Huang thought, but he didn't dare say it out loud and remained silent.

"Since you let me stay here, I'll be nicer to you in the future. You're acting like a child. Good boy, Huanghuang, I'll buy you some candy. Don't cry..." Xiao Lin stood up, patted Ye Huang's head, and spoke in a babying tone.

"Huanghuang? Damn it, treating me like a pet. I'm in my mid-twenties; do you really need to use such a low-IQ way to comfort me?" Ye Huang looked at Xiao Lin with a pained expression, feeling like crying.

"Don't call me Huanghuang. Calling me a scoundrel would be better. It sounds disgusting. If you have something to say, just say it. Don't pretend to be a lady; your lady is too ambitious, no, too wild! I can't handle it!" Ye Huang shivered at Xiao Lin's cloying voice and quickly stopped her.

"Hmph! You're such a strange person. I'm trying to be a lady, and you don't even accept my kindness." Xiao Lin looked hurt, pouting her red lips and speaking softly with a hint of委屈 (grievance).

I'm busy; I have to pick up two more tenants this afternoon!" Before Xiao Lin could finish speaking, Ye Huang firmly refused. It was a joke! He collected several thousand a month in rent, and one meal could cost that much. If they started making other demands, he'd be out a lot of money.

If you behaved yourself, I wouldn't mind, but you just arrived and already turned a beautiful woman against me. How can I tolerate that?
