Chapter 6

"Your girlfriend? A pretty girl like that would never go for a scrawny kid like you. Who the hell do you think you're fooling! I'm going to take her today, what are you going to do about it? What's in that box you're holding?"

As he spoke, the burly man finally fixed his gaze on the silver suitcase in Ye Huang's hand. He had seen such suitcases in movies before; drug dealers usually used them to carry stacks of cash. The sight of Ye Huang holding one made him immediately covetous.

"Of course, it's money. What else would I be carrying it for? Do you want it?" Ye Huang said with a teasing tone.

"Hmph! Kid, do you really think I'm that easy to fool? You know I'm here with my brothers to rob you, and you still dare to say it's money? Do you really think I'm a fool?"

"Don't believe me? Then I'll show you." Ye Huang smirked, lifted the suitcase, and entered the password. With a click, the suitcase opened. The burly man's eyes widened, his mouth dropped open, and his jaw almost hit the ground.

He never expected Ye Huang to be telling the truth. Inside the suitcase, neatly stacked, were thick wads of U.S. dollars, blinding him.

At the same moment, the other four accomplices in the car also rushed over, their eyes filled with greed as they stared at the suitcase in Ye Huang's hand.

"Boss... Boss... We're rich!"

"You're right. It seems I have both good luck and good fortune today." The burly man's eyes were filled with naked greed as he stared at Ye Huang's suitcase.

"What do you think? I didn't lie to you, did I?" Ye Huang's eyes flashed with a cunning look as he saw the five men approach.

"Hehe, kid, you're smart. Today, because of this money, my brothers and I will let you go. But I'm still taking your girlfriend."

Hearing this, Ye Huang's eyes narrowed, and he smiled sinisterly. In his eyes, the money in Ye Huang's hand was already his.

"You guys are really insatiable. I don't understand how your father even managed to have you. I was going to let you go, but now I've changed my mind."

"What? You're still thinking of resisting?" The five men's faces changed when they heard his words, especially the leader, who looked cautious.

"You're right, but there's no reward!" As he spoke, Ye Huang suddenly moved, smashing the suitcase into the burly man's head. Blocking his vision, he quickly struck with a hand knife, knocking him out.

Without stopping, Ye Huang spun around, using the silver suitcase as a weapon to block the daggers of the other four men. At the same time, Xie Chenshan, who had been watching in shock, suddenly felt her scarf, which had been around her neck, disappear.

In the next moment, it appeared in Ye Huang's hand. He quickly weaved through the four men, dodging their daggers in the crowded bus. Within half a minute, he had tied their hands together and bound them to the metal frame of the bus, then knocked them out with four more hand knives.

After doing all this, Ye Huang took a deep breath, raised his eyebrows, and turned to Xie Chenshan, who was still in shock, to apologize.

"Sorry, I borrowed your scarf. I'll give you a new one next time."

"It's... it's okay." Xie Chenshan, still dazed from the movie-like scene, finally responded softly.

Knowing she was easily embarrassed, Ye Huang smiled and didn't say much more. He picked up his suitcase and prepared to get off the bus. The other passengers had already called the police when the bus was hijacked.

Not wanting to deal with the police, Ye Huang planned to slip away before they arrived. Otherwise, he would have a headache if he had to answer their questions.

As for Xie Chenshan's scarf, Ye Huang wasn't worried about returning it. Since she taught at Yucheng University, he could easily find her by asking around.

However, Ye Huang's plan to leave early fell through. Just as he stepped out of the bus, several police cars suddenly appeared on both sides of the road, blocking the area.

Seeing this, Ye Huang knew he couldn't escape. He had no choice but to get back on the bus, shrug at Xie Chenshan, and smile lightly.

"Looks like I can't be an anonymous hero today." This made Xie Chenshan giggle, her charm like a gentle breeze.

Xiao Lin was very frustrated today! Although she had solved the train station robbery case in the morning and received praise from the chief, she knew the credit didn't belong to her but to that damn thug.

Thinking of the thug who had embarrassed her, Xiao Lin gritted her teeth, trying to figure out how to find him and teach him a lesson. Suddenly, another call came in about a bus hijacking.

Following the team, Xiao Lin rushed to the scene. As soon as she got out of the car, she drew her gun and rushed up with the other officers.

To her surprise, the bus was calm, showing no signs of a hijacking.

"Could some damn fool have called 110 just for fun?" she thought, looking through the bus window. The driver then opened the door.

Xiao Lin immediately pointed her gun inside, but instead of seeing a hostage situation, she saw five hijackers tied up on the metal frame at the front of the bus.

And the thug who had embarrassed her earlier was standing inside, smiling at her in a way that made her want to punch him.

"Xiao Lin, what a coincidence. We just met an hour ago, and here we are again."

"How is it you again!" Xiao Lin's eyes widened in surprise.

"Isn't it me again?"

"You... You can't tell me these guys were taken down by you again?"

"I didn't want to, but what could I do? They tried to take my suitcase. Besides, do you think I wanted to? If your police had caught all the criminals, I wouldn't have had to do this."

"Hmph! Don't mock me. As a public servant, it's your duty to help us catch criminals. But you're a pretty unlucky thug to run into two robberies in one day."

Seeing Ye Huang's pained expression, Xiao Lin felt a bit better. The thought of this thug encountering two robberies in one day made her want to laugh.

"I feel like I'm having the worst luck. I just got back to the country, and this happens. Well, I'll leave this to you. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket and see if I can get lucky. As for the report, I'll skip it. Call me if you need anything. Oh, and Xiao Lin, your button is undone, but this time it's the top one, not the bottom one..."

"Go to hell... thug!"
