Strolling leisurely while getting lost in the labyrinth city, I arrived at the construction company. It makes me a bit nervous when I think about having my own home.

I entered the building and approached the receptionist. I informed her that I had ordered a mobile home from Jill and she immediately called for Jill.

“Oh, you’re here. Follow me.”

Without even exchanging greetings, Jill walked further into the building. Hmm, I wonder if he’s going to show me around the house? I can’t afford to be confused, so I followed Jill.

Exiting through the back door and going deeper, I saw a two-story stone building. Is that the house I requested? It’s wider than I thought and has a more imposing presence.

“With the windows installed, it’ll be complete. Did you manage to arrange the glass as instructed?”

I wanted to savor the excitement of having my own home a little longer, but Jill is in a hurry. I took out the glass panels made by Nomos and showed them to Jill.

Initially, I planned to have smaller windows because of the strong sunlight, but since there are shade-providing Spirit Trees and the forest has grown, I decided to make the windows larger in order to enjoy the view. Especially the window in the living room is quite large.

Considering strength, I asked Nomos for extra thick window glass. It may be a bit difficult to open and close the windows, but since the inside of the house will be temperature-controlled by the Silphy, I won’t need to open the windows except for ventilation.

“Oh, this is amazing. The thickness is uniform, and the glass has no cloudiness or color. Where did you get this? It seems like it requires quite a facility to produce.”

Jill got really interested. But I can’t tell him that it was made by the Earth spirit, right?

“I’m sorry, but I can’t reveal the source.”

“Hmm, is it some kind of technological secret? Can I obtain this glass?”

Rather than a secret technology, it’s the creator who’s the secret. I wonder if this glass caught his attention because he came up with an interesting architectural concept?

However, it doesn’t feel right to have Nomos make commercial glass repeatedly. It’s also worrisome to easily exploit the Great Spirit for business purposes, so I’ll just say it’s impossible.

“It’s impossible to obtain it for commercial purposes. They prepared it specially for me because I’m building a house.”

“…That’s a shame.”

I’m sorry. It pains me to lie to someone like Jill. A little disappointed, Jill called the craftsmen together and they swiftly fit the glass into the wooden frames they had prepared, attaching them to the house. Their efficiency was astounding. I got a glimpse of their ability to build a house in just twenty days. Not only Sarah and the others, but the spirits were also impressed.

“They’re craftsmen, huh?” “Yeah.” “They’re amazing.”

Especially Sylphy, Bell, and Turu are deeply impressed. I can understand Turu to some extent, but I wonder if the Wind Spirits like construction work?

“Alright! It’s complete. Come inside, I’ll give you a tour.”

Jill beckoned, and now it’s finally time to step into my own home.

“Here, take off your shoes and change into these slippers.”

I took out the slippers that Sara and the others chose for themselves yesterday, and we all changed into them. On this continent, they say it’s normal to wear shoes indoors because there’s cleaning magic, but since we had the floors made of wooden flooring and it feels strange to wear shoes inside, I strictly enforced a no-shoes policy.

In the past, when I lived in the houses carved into rocks, I never felt like taking off my shoes. But in a proper house like this, I find slippers much more comfortable.

From here on, guided by Jill, I toured the inside of the house. On the first floor, there’s a kitchen, a large bathroom, and a toilet. And the main attraction, a spacious living room.

In the kitchen, there are magical stoves and faucets that dispense water, apparently connected to pipes outside the house. I didn’t know because I always used water from the magic bag, but it seems there are surprisingly high-tech tools available.

The bathroom also has a magical device that allows you to draw and heat water. It has a bathtub big enough for five adults to relax in. At first, I thought a wooden bathtub would make me look wealthy, but I was told it would be difficult to maintain, so I obediently went with a stone bath.

When I requested the bath, Jill seemed a bit exasperated, but considering the quality, I’m glad I asked. In this world where purification magic exists, having a bath is simply seen as a luxury for the wealthy. It not only relieves fatigue but also brings a sense of tranquility.

And the highlight of this house, the living room, is simply a spacious area. I initially thought it would be sufficient as long as everyone could gather, but Sylphy insisted that with the increasing number of spirits, we should have a large living room for hosting parties.

Certainly, there may be more opportunities to form contracts with spirits in the future, and having a room where everyone can gather would be beneficial. But now that I see it, it’s quite spacious. I wonder if it will feel just right once we place furniture in it?

On the second floor, there is a shared space in front of the stairs, and the rest consists of five large rooms. I asked them to divide the room I intend to use into two sections, making the back part my bedroom.

We all enjoyed touring the interior with excitement, and one thing became clear. It’s foolish to try to build a house on your own. Although there are magical devices installed, each element is meticulously crafted. I wouldn’t be able to carry out such meticulous work if I were to build it myself.

But a mansion, huh? If I were to build one, it would definitely require the expertise of a professional. Taking it to the Land of Death doesn’t seem like a good idea, and it’s difficult. People were already amazed when they saw the house fitting inside the magic bag, so I need to think of a solution in case there’s an opportunity to build a mansion in the future.

“How do you like it?”

Jill asked concisely. He’s asking for my impressions of the house. I looked around at everyone, and it seems that no one has any complaints. I’m satisfied too, so there’s no problem.

“It’s wonderful. Thank you for building such a great house, Jill.”

I bowed my head slightly, and Sarah and the others also bowed. Although Bell can’t be seen, the sentiment is conveyed, and it’s cute, so it’s fine.

“I see, if you’re happy with it, then it’s good. Since it’s a mobile home, if something happens, bring it over. I’ll charge you, but I’ll fix it.”

…I see. So if it breaks, I can bring it to be repaired. It’s quite convenient to be able to carry a house around.

“Please take care of it when the time comes. Is it alright if I store the house now?”

“I don’t mind.”

I touched the house with my hand and visualized it being stored away. In an instant, the house in front of me disappeared. It’s impressive how something so large can vanish in an instant. Jill invited me to work for him again, but I declined.

With a magic bag, you wouldn’t have to worry about finding a job. Well, if I were to sell the magic bag, I probably wouldn’t need to work anymore.

I left the construction company after purchasing additional doors for the distillery and familiarizing myself with the use of the magical devices installed by Jill.

“Yuta, are you happy about the house?”

As we walked towards the furniture store, Bell jumped into my chest and asked.

(Yes, I’m very happy.)

I answered while gently stroking Bell’s head, being careful not to be noticed by others. Actually, I’m genuinely happy, but I haven’t actually lived in it yet, so I haven’t fully realized it.

“Does Bell get a room?”

Bell tilted her head with a puzzled expression. She probably remembers when I said that once the sanctuary was decided, we would build a big house.

But there’s a bit of curiosity about having a room… That’s what she’s trying to ask. Even if I give a room to Sarah and the others and myself, there would still be one room left. I’ve already ordered furniture for all the rooms…

(Bell, do you want a room?)

“I want one!”

Bell answered with a bright smile. I see, she wants one. It may not have any practical significance since it can’t materialize outside the sanctuary, but if Bell wants it, there’s nothing I can do.

(Well, until we can build a big house, it’s impossible to have a separate room just for Bell. But how about we make a room for Bell and the others? What do you think?)

Creating a children’s room should be fine. We can place lots of toys there so that it gets used often. Marie’s shop had monster materials like balls and stuffed animals, so let’s buy plenty of those and create a kids’ room.

“I’m so happy!”

Bell expressed her joy as she happily rubbed her head against my chest and then flew off to report to Rain and the others. I can tell from her excited flying that she’s thrilled. It makes me happy to see her so delighted.

After hearing Bell’s report, Rain and the others came to express their joy with sounds like “Kyuuu,” “I’m happy about the room,” and “Kukuuu.” It’s a bit lonely not being able to openly stroke them outside, but I made sure to pet each of them affectionately.

“Yuta, is it okay?”

Sylphy asked if everything was alright. She flew towards me with a smile, and from her expression, I could tell what she wanted to say.

“Yuta-chan, Oneechan wants a room too!”

That’s right.

(Deene, your room will be built once we decide on the sanctuary and build a big house. Since you’re the Oneechan, please be patient. I haven’t heard of adult rooms, and during parties, we’ll occupy the living room, so there shouldn’t be any issues, right?)

“Mmm… I guess so. Oneechan should be patient for the sake of the little ones. I understand, Yuta-chan.”

…It’s a bit sad that a small child has to be patient for the sake of even smaller siblings, but in this case, there shouldn’t be any problems, right? I’m relieved that she readily backed down. (T/N: Yuta is referring to her mentally as a child)

As we continued walking and arrived at the furniture store, a lively middle-aged woman approached me.

“Oh, it’s you. You’ve come at a good time. All your ordered items are ready. It was a huge order, so we borrowed some help from other workshops and made a killing. Ahahaha!”

She’s as energetic as ever. I don’t really need to know about things unrelated to my order, but it’s fine.

“I’ve come to pick them up.”

“I can’t leave them here, so they’re stored in the warehouse. Follow me, I’ll show you. Hey, you there, I’m going out for a bit, so please mind the store. Alright, this way.”

She completely took charge of the situation, leading me to the warehouse, where all the ordered furniture was stored. As the conversation started to veer off into small talk, I quickly excused myself since I had something else to do and hastily left the warehouse.

That was close. If I get caught up in her pace, I won’t be able to escape.

“Phew, we still have some time before we go to the Adventurers Guild. What should we do?”

I muttered, and Sylphy immediately provided an answer.

“Yuta, let’s stock up on alcohol. Depending on the discussion, we might leave the labyrinth city.”

… Naturally, those words caught the attention of Dyne and Dolly. Well, we’ve started distillation, and I promised to stock up on alcohol from Nomos, so I might as well go buy some. After that, we’ll have lunch and send Sara and the others to Marie’s other residence. Returning to Marie’s other residence would mean a luxurious lunch, but right now, I feel like having street food, so let’s eat and head back.

After that, me, Sylphy, and Dyne head to the Adventurers Guild. As for Bell and Dolly, they will stay with Sara and serve as their guards. It should be safe that way.
