Chapter 37 - Got Whipped

“Move!”

Situ Liuli was coddled by her parents since little. Besides her elder brother, she was the only girl in the family. The whole family cherished her as the most precious thing in the world. They wouldn’t let her go through any hardship, let along getting wronged.

The spoiling was the reason that she became bossy and rude. She didn’t have many friends and Ji Xuewei was her best friend. The reason was simply that Ji Xuwei’s soft and uncontested personalities made Situ Liuli want to protect her.

Now seeing this woman bully Xuewei unscrupulously and try to steal her boyfriend, there was no way that Situ Liuli would let her go.

“I’ll move if you swear that you won’t make it difficult for Xuewei from now on. And never seduce her man!”

Ji Xiaoli laughed coldly. She had met stupid people, but really not this stupid. Ji Xuewei looked soft and delicate, but she was smarter than everyone. It would be nice if she didn’t bully Ji Xiaoli. Only Situ Liuli thought Ji Xuewei was easy-going. She could be sold by Ji Xuewei someday and still help her to count the money!

“What’s your attitude? Don’t take yourself too seriously! You’re just an orphan adopted by Professor Ji. Who do you think you are? Relying on your look to seduce men! Last time Mr. Qin helped you. What about this time?” Situ Liuli was an expert on using other’s power to bully.

“What do you want? Slap me again like what you did last time one the banquet?” Ji Xiaoli humphed coldly. Last time she got slapped when she was not paying attention. It didn’t mean that this time she would just stand around like an idiot and let Situ Liuli bully her.

“So What? Do you dare to fight back?” Situ Liuli scowled, looking at Ji Xiaoli with hatred. She threw her arm across trying to slap her.

A mistake could be made once but never twice.

Situ Liuli could slap people but she was not too strong. Ji Xiaoli grabbed Situ Lili’s hand in the air and smacked Situ Liuli’s face with her right hand.

“You, you slapped me!” No one dared to hurt Situ Liuli in her whole life. Yet Ji Xiaoli just did!

Ji Xiaoli shrugged, “I don’t want to slap you. But you are almost riding over me. I’m just teaching you a lesson… You can bully someone soft, but I am not soft!”

Finished speaking, Ji Xiaoli turned back and walked away. At this moment, a box door opened and two middle-aged men walked out. Situ Liuli saw her father coming out and immediately went over and started yelling, “Dad, that woman just slapped me! She also cursed me! My face is swollen! You need to help me!”

Situ Liuli was not by herself, or she wouldn’t be this bossy. She knew that her father would stand up for her!

In fact, Situ Guang indeed loved his daughter dearly. He couldn’t even bear her daughter losing hair. Now seeing the clear hand mark on his daughter’s face, he immediately got angry, “Who did this?”

Situ Liuli pointed at Ji Xiaoli. Ji Xiaoli didn’t regret slapping Situ. She was just speechless when seeing her whole family were all bossy and rude.

She couldn’t walk away even if she wanted to right now. Situ Guang already walked towards her. The other man who came out with him was the division chief of the Municipal Police Department. He was close to the Situ family. Seeing how angry the father and daughter were, he interrupted, “Situ, your girl surely has been wronged. But this is their business. Just let Liuli slap back! After all, people who eat here are all prominent officials and eminent personages. If this gets out, it won’t look pretty.”

That division chief started as a second secretary in the neighbor city. Now he was transferred to the capital, even though just as a division chief, it was way better. He finally got this far and he didn’t want to offend any power because of the Situ family. After all they were in the capital. Nobody knew what would happen next.

Situ Guang also hesitated for a while. He was angry but his business was crucial. Everybody knew businessmen often colluded with government officials. If he was just a businessman and had no help from the officials, many things wouldn’t go that well.

He pated on his daughter’s shoulder and said dearly, “Baby girl, if you are angry, just take her to the box and slap her a few times. What do you think?”

Situ Liuli had a dark look in her eyes, “Sure. Take her in! I have debts to settle with her!”

Situ Guang already had two guards over and prepared to get Ji Xiaoli in the box quietly. The hallway was quite empty now, so it was a good time to make a move. But he didn’t realize that not many people who came here didn’t have any background and could be humiliated by him.

Ji Xiaoli watched them talking with cold eyes. Now that someone tried to grab her, she struggled. “So you are Situ CEO. I didn’t expect you to act so foolishly like your daughter. Since you don’t want noise, are you afraid that I start shouting and attract everyone here? Besides, do you really think I won’t fight back? If you don’t want anybody dead today and don’t want this to get out, let me go. If I do fight back, it won’t be quiet.”

“Are you threatening me?” One thing that Situ Guang hated the most was being threatened. He had a quick temper and it was hard to avoid offending people. But most of the time, he was trying to hold back. When facing a little girl, he was not afraid.

Ji Xiaoli saw Situ Guang staring at her. She was so angry that she laughed, “If you think so.”

“Good! Very good! You slapped my daughter and you want to get away with it? Nothing is that good! Come, take her inside!”

Ji Xiaoli’s shoulders were held by the guards, so she couldn’t move. She wanted to shout, yet got her mouth stuffed by a towel. It looked like Situ Guang was really going to hurt her. She glanced at him, yet she met Situ Liuli’s ferocious gaze.

“Situ, is this too much?” the division chief warned him kindly.

But Situ Guang just waved his hands and looked angry, “I wanted to let this pass and only teach her a lesson. But this girl dares to threaten me. Humph! If Liuli wants to teach her a lesson, she can do it. What can a little girl do?”

“But…there’s CCTV here. What if somebody checks it?” he is not afraid, but cautious. Something he had learned in his many years of being an official.

Situ Guang smiled and didn’t want to talk about it any longer, “I’m not killing her! Just to teach her a lesson! Anyway, let’s talk again about the undeveloped lands…”

The moment that Ji Xiaoli was about to get dragged in, she really thought that was it for her and she was panicking. She already saw the leather whip in Situ Liuli’s hand. If she was whipped by that, she would definitely get hurt badly. If she knew all this, she wouldn’t go to the restroom. She would just stay in her box. But how could she know?

The box door slammed shut. Ji Xiaoli was kicked onto the ground. Situ Liuli smugly raised her chin with the whip, “Weren’t you even more badass than me just now? Now why are you so quiet? If you would just behave, how could this happen?”

Stuffed by the towel, Ji Xiaoli couldn’t get a single sound out. Watching Situ Liuli dipping the whip into alcohol, she was really terrified. She knew Situ Liuli was insane, but getting beat up by a whip dipped in high concentration alcohol, her skin would definitely be whipped off. She stepped backward in fear.

“You scared? Why staring at me like this when the show hasn’t even started? I really want to film how sorry you look to show Xuewei. This is her powerful sister. Seducing man? Let’s see how can you seduce after this!” Situ Liuli cursed Ji Xiaoli. She used her full strength and threw the whip hard.

It was the end of August. Ji Xiaoli was just wearing a dress. The whip stroke on her flesh. She yelled in pain and breathed heavily. She didn’t need to see to know that her flesh must have been torn apart.

She suddenly thought about the ten excruciations in Qing Dynasty. It already hurt her this much for the first whip. If Situ Liuli whipped her dozens of times, she would probably be dead.

Meanwhile, people in the outside box were eating and drinking. They all heard the whipping sound coming from the inside box. Someone startled, “Would Liuli kill her? This is Yankeju Restaurant. It’s Mr. Wei’s property.”

“Yeah. People who can come here are not ordinary people… If that woman has some background, we would be screwed!”

Situ Guang was still hesitating. But thinking about the hand mark on his daughter’s face, he hardened his heart. He wanted his daughter to vent her anger first.

“No worries. Please, enjoy your food… I know what I’m doing, so does Liuli. She’s not ignorant.” Even though he said that his old friends didn’t agree with him. Everyone knew who rude Situ Liuli was, so they all advised their children to stay away from her.

Meanwhile in Zhenpin box, Qin Zhenyang felt something was wrong. Ji Xiaoli just needed to use the restroom. Why did it take so long? He was slightly worried.

“The Mrs. just left for a while and you are already missing her? Zhenyang, you’re really falling into a woman’s hand!” The old Capital Four were scattered around now. Even though not all of them were still in the capital, their names were still big. The news that Qin Zhenyang was getting married would definitely shock a lot of people.

Qin Zhenyang ignored him, “Something’s wrong!”

His guts were always right, not only when he was on missions. He really sensed something this time.

“What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong? Stop lying, Zhenyang. I see it all!” Wei Lin was a bit high, mumbling.

Qin Zhenyang suddenly grabbed his collar and pulled Wei Lin up. Qin Zhenyang said with a cold face, “Come outside with me!”

“What’s going on?”

All the real estate CEOs’ were lost. They watched Qin Zhenyang carrying Wei Lin out like a chicken. The momentum was so fierce that nobody could compare.

But the two big heads were out, the CEOs had to continue eating and drinking. They couldn’t leave until they come back.

Qin Zhenyang just walked out of the box when Wei Lin started mumbling, “What is this? What’s going on?”

“Something might have happened to Xiaoli!”

Wei Lin didn’t believe it at first. After all, no one was foolish enough to make trouble in his place. But Ji Xiaoli had left the box for a while.

“You want me to pull the CCTV?”

Qin Zhenyang nodded. Meanwhile, a waitress came over and said fawningly, “Mr. Qin, I passed by here and saw the lady that you came with being escorted into box 006…”

The word “escorted” meant a lot. They sensed something wrong. Qin Zhenyang’s face immediately darkened. He walked fast to box 006.

Wei Lin saw him changing his expression considerably. He comforted Qin Zhenyang, “No need to go straightly to the worse. No one dared to make trouble here these past years… Maybe it’s someone she knows… You…”

Wei Lin didn’t finish his sentence. He saw Qin Zhenyang kicked the box door open without even knocking.
