Chapter 43 - Malice

This night Master Qin Zhenyang was blissfully indulgent in the sexual pleasures. Normally Ji Xiaoli felt reserved when there was somebody else at home, but when only two of them stayed at home, Qin Zhenyang felt free to do something else.
So this time when they were stuffed after super, Qin Zhenyang did not offer to take a walk. Instead, he threw himself onto her in sofa and had a “special dessert” together with her, and they used the bump condom bought from the supermarket…
Even the hourly employee understood what happened here when seeing the messy clothes in the corner of sofa the next morning…
During the breakfast Ji Xiaoli had been wondering why the employee stared at her with a weird look, whose eyes blinked like a pinkeye patient.
Occasional sexual enjoyment was totally acceptable. Aunt Wang wouldn’t come back in two days, but Ji Xiaoli prepared herself at the second night. Once they got too intimate, she would slap his reaching hands… Nobody really knew how painful her waist was, and even Ji Xiaoli herself could not feel her waist when stepping down the stairs.
Qin Zhenyang kept apologizing that he didn’t mean to make her suffer. His wife was so attractive that his couldn’t resist the temptation. He shouldn’t have been blamed for loving her body, right?
After the banquet with real estate agents, many agents tried to do business with the Qin Family, introducing their excellent houses with matchless environment.
So there came a fierce competition between those attentive agents… They all wanted to offer Qin Zhenyang some estate, and hence make some connections with the Qin family. What they had paid was not much in their eyes, but what they might gain was quite huge: the Qin family was a large one, powerful in military, business and political fields. Working with such a family would be reassuring.
Only after one night did Ji Xiaoli get the mails about the estate instruction from scores of estate agents, making her feel like an emperor choosing his concubines. But she still felt unsure about it, so she asked Qin Zhenyang, “Do you think it reliable? So many houses, each was sold over 3 million, and they’re willing to give the houses to you for free? Is there a chance that…”
‘Is there a chance that they want something from the Qin family?’
Looking at her disturbed face, Qin Zhenyang laughed and said, “No worries. That’s not a large sum for them. If they really want us to accept it, then we should keep it. If you feel worried, then you can pay them… I can afford it…”
Qin Zhenyang had intended to transfer his money in the bank account opened in Gang city into her account, for the fact that he did not need much but she had become the hostess now and needed to be in charge of the family money. Besides, he had some money in Citibank. All of them were his individual property, which would hardly been used up.
Ji Xiaoli shook her head and said, “That’s not what I mean…I just wanna say…”
“Do you mean that they are gonna haunt us? If that really happens, there will be too many people connected with the Qin family. If you want to keep those houses, then keep them. If not, just pay them money. I checked before, and I think the new estate near the Yuanyang lake is not bad. It is also not far from our family. Will you take it?”
Ji Xiaoli nodded and said, “I have also checked it. Since you like it, then why not buy it?”
Qin Zhenyang nodded as well. He intended to finish the procedures so as to avoid the possible problems to come.
While Ji Xiaoli was torn between whether to accept the free houses or not, Ji Xuewei really got mad this time. When she heard what Situ Liuli said, she thought that annoying girl Ji Xiaoli would come to a dead end this time. But now the situation had been reversed.
Situ Liuli had been taught a big lesson, and had to stay at home for recovery. Now she dare not go out easily. The house issue had been solved, and rumor said Ji Xiaoli got the house from the real estate dealer for free! What the heck!
Of course she knew that it was because of Qin Zhenyang. She gradually realized that Qin Zhenyang was extremely powerful. It was not easy to get superior to the local powers in Beijing, the city full of powers and big names.
For no reason, she thought about Qin Zheng, another member of Qin family. He was not as powerful as Qin Zhenyang. Thinking of this, she felt unfair: why could Ji Xiaoli get a husband better than hers? Why could Ji Xiaoli attract both Qin Zhenyang and Qin Zheng?
She was the offspring of the Ji family, and that woman was just an orphan from an orphanage. But why could that woman be blessed and lucky?
At the moment, unwillingness, hatred, and jealousy surged up in her. Qin Zhenyang loved that woman deeply, but it was not so long after their being together. Despite the fact that they were intimate now, they could never expect what would happen in the future.
Men were all the same. When they got one pretty girl, they would be thinking about another. None of them were single-minded. Then an idea occurred to her.
“Oh my cousin, why are you calling me so late… I worked overtime and was exhausted… I’m just asleep. Now you…”, said the person from the phone, yawning.
Ji Xuewei remained calm, smiled and said, “I know it’s late, but I must tell you something great… Ruoyun, we have been friends since a very young age, so I will always think of you when I have some good news to share. Don’t you know that?”
Ji Ruoyun gave a chuckle of delight.
Ji Ruoyun was the beloved daughter of Ji Xuewei’s aunt. Because of the bad academic performance in school, she went to work in the factory for many years. But she was greedy and fond of petty advantages, so Ji Xuewei had always been making use of her, who was even not aware of it, and instead, always following Ji Xuewei, the kind-hearted cousin in her eyes.
Ji Xuewei considered her cousin as a dumb ass, but now she believed that stupidity was Ruoyun’s advantage now. It was easy for her to manipulate an idiot. So she talked to Ruoyun gently on the phone.
“Ruoyun, has your mom arranged you some dates recently?” Ruoyun, at the age of 22, was one year younger than Ji Xuewei. She was elegant but not well-educated. Working for so many years, she had many blind dates arranged by her mom.
If two mates were not bound to be together, then they should not marry. Ji Ruoyun’s mother was the youngest daughter of Sir Ji, and consequently the most spoiled one. She was able to do nothing but always craved for money and power. Ji Ruoyun’s father was a teacher in a middle school, and took to taking two bottles of boiled water before he left school. As for Ji Ruoyun, there was nothing valuable to say about her.
It was acceptable for a girl to have some itch for money, but she just had junior middle school education, which would be an obstacle for her to marry into a well-off family. She looked attractive and loved dressing herself up, which gave her mother the courage to reject all the poor males.
Compared to her mother, Ji Ruoyun asked more in a relationship. In her workplace women were more than men, most of whom were the middle-age males. As a result, she had ditched the idea of finding a man in her workplace. Sometimes when her parents were absent, she would go to the night club to attract some rich guys.
Was the night club the place to find true love? But even if there was not any love there, it was no big deal for Ji Ruoyun!
Her mother wanted a rich son-in-law, but the rich men were rarely good looking, fat or short. She did not want it that way! She desired someone tall, rich and handsome. That was why she hadn’t met anyone suitable for marriage. It was already hard enough for her to find a boyfriend, let alone a tall, rich and handsome one…
The reason was quite simple. The tall, rich and handsome men only wanted to play with beautiful girls. How many of them would marry an eye candy? Fewer than you thought. Because they would hardly have something to talk with each other.
On hearing of this, Ji Ruoyun complained, “Oh forget it. My mother had found another one for me, that guy is related to our neighbor Mrs. Zhang, and I’m gonna have another date. I have seen his photo. He is not fat, but looks like a thief! He looks too…”
“Not satisfied?” said Ji Xuewei with a smile.
Ji Ruoyun sighed again, “No. I’m gonna feel sick if I have to see him every day. My mother forces me to see him since he is said to be a millionaire… But I do not really want to date him.”
“Any luck in night club theses days?” This was the secret of Ji Ruoyun, who did not hide it from her elder cousin, the good friend in her eyes.
“Why do you ask that?” Ji Ruoyun faltered.
“I know you go for the tall, handsome and rich man. But there is no love in those clubs. Ji Xiaoli’s husband is such a man, and if you ask him to introduce some men to you, you will probably find what you want.”
The relationship between Ji Ruoyun and Ji Xiaoli was not good nor bad. On hearing of this, she was dumbfounded and said, “Have they been living together?”
“They have done the marriage registration, so quickly and without a wedding.” said Ji Xuewei, revealing some info to Ji Ruoyun.
Ji Ruoyun hesitated, “Is that okay to ask him to introduce some men to me? I think it is a little…”
“Why not give it a try? What if you really find one?”
After some silent seconds, Ji Ruoyun said, “I’ll think about it. I’m on holiday tomorrow. I will go to your place.”
Ji Xuewei hung it up, quite calmly.
Only she knew what kind of man Ji Ruoyun liked. Ji Ruoyun would never steal Qin Zheng from her, for she had been helping her for so many years.
She couldn’t help but wonder what Ji Ruoyun would do after she saw Ji Xiaoli’s husband. Ji Ruoyun would probably be attracted by the soldier, who was her favourite type… That was how this plan would work…
Despite being married, tJi Xiaoli and Qin Zhenyang had just got registered, without holding a wedding. Nobody else knew their relationship… If Qin Zhenyang went off with Ji Ruoyun, then Ji Xiaoli had to accept it!
Ji Xiaoli, staying at home in the suburb, was making the design drawing, not even aware that someone was plotting against her and her husband.
Wasting so many days, she intended to make an effort for the new start of her future career.
So…
Lying on the large bed alone, Qin Zhenyang complained unhappily, with some discontentment in his eyes, “It’s 11 p.m. Are you gonna work on that the whole night?”
Concentrating on her drawing, Ji Xiaoli was not aware of his feelings. She shook her head and said, “I’m not sleepy yet. You can sleep now.”
‘Not sleepy?’
‘The person who usually sleeps around 10 p.m. is not sleepy?’
Bleary-eyed and drowsy, Qin Zhenyang moved out of the quilt and approached her, holding her waist in his arms, and kissing around her earlobe with his moist and hot lips. He said, with his voice hoarse and low, “If you are not drowsy, why don’t we do something that can help us sleep better…”
