Chapter 63

Wang Ge was not surprised by Curly's desire to quit the underground boxing matches. After all, fighting in the black market was only a temporary solution. No one aspired to fight in the black market for their entire life, nor could anyone do so.

"Have you made plans for after?" Wang Ge asked.

"Yes, after tonight's match, the money should be enough." Curly's eyes sparkled with hope for the future. "I have these brothers, and we plan to open a black market shop. Over the years we've been in Meteor Street, we've built up quite a network of connections, and we're familiar with all aspects of the business. It should be fine. With this black market shop, it will be enough to support our families, and it won't have been in vain for them to follow me."

Baldy and Little Braid had tears in their eyes. Little Braid's voice was hoarse as he said, "Boss, you were fighting in the black market for..."

"Fighting in the black market is risking your life for money. Boss, you did it for us..." Baldy rubbed his eyes, his voice choked with emotion. "Boss, you never told us. Sniff, if we had known it was for this, we would never have agreed to let you fight in the black market..."

"Shut up and drive properly! Do you want to kill us, Baldy?" Curly scolded him, then leaned back in his seat, hands behind his head, and gazed out the panoramic sunroof at the overcast sky. "I didn't tell you because I knew you wouldn't agree.

"But now we've made it through. From now on, you little brats, work hard and show your families that even if you're not good people, you're certainly not useless!"

"...Understood, Boss." Baldy and Little Braid replied in unison. Though they didn't make a sound, their trembling shoulders betrayed their emotions.

"Good, once your black market shop opens, I'll bring all the herbs I gather and the insects and beasts I hunt to you." Wang Ge smiled. "At that time, the bosses should take good care of me!"

"Whose business is it if not ours? Who else would you give it to?" Curly chuckled. They had been brothers for years, and the bond of brotherhood was never just words. Everyone knew what each had done for the others.

People tend to gather with those who are similar. How could they come together without any common ground? In the underworld, the most basic requirement is brotherhood.

Today's theme was school.

The rectangular stage, ten meters long and five meters wide, was set up like a high school classroom. The walls, painted white, were adorned with portraits of federal heroes. The rows of desks and chairs, which should have been neatly arranged, were now scattered haphazardly.

About seven or eight young men and women in school uniforms were casually seated on the chairs. Some were playing cards, some smoking, some applying makeup in small mirrors, and some chatting while cracking sunflower seeds. This was a typical class of troublemakers.

To satisfy the guests' perverse desires, the girls' school uniforms were designed to be provocative. The necklines were cut extremely low, exposing deep cleavages, and the skirts were so short they barely covered their underwear. Even their white thighs were adorned with knee-high black stockings, making noses bleed.

"Gao Yi." Ye Tianlong, sitting in the first row of the VIP seats, looked at the young man beside him. "Have you heard from Xiao Er recently?"

Gao Yi, a bit of a maverick among the rich and spoiled, though not yet twenty, had a mature hairstyle and wore a traditional Zhongshan suit, trying to act serious. He was a direct descendant of one of the four major families in Mountain City, on the same level as Ye Tianlong and Liang Jiakun.

"Yes." Gao Yi said succinctly, implying that he had information but couldn't say more, maintaining his air of superiority.

Ye Tianlong subtly pursed his lips. This kid was just imitating his successful older brother. Gao Yi's older brother, Gao Jin, had taken over the family at thirty and was the youngest head of the four major families in Mountain City, yet he had led the Gao family to prosperity.

Gao Yi clearly wanted to be as strong as his brother, but so far, he had only learned the surface.

Since Gao Yi wouldn't say, Ye Tianlong didn't bother to ask. He could find out if he wanted to.

Pointing to the stage, Ye Tianlong smiled. "I wanted to invite Xiao Er to watch this match today, but I couldn't get in touch with him."

"What's different about today's match?" Gao Yi asked, holding a large cigar between his fingers, his tone indifferent.

"Last time, I bet with Xiao Er and won a million. The boxer from that match is in today's fight." Ye Tianlong chuckled. "If he comes, we'll definitely bet again."

A glint of interest flashed in Gao Yi's eyes as he pointed to the man walking onto the stage.

The spotlight shone on the man, confirming he was one of today's boxers.

The man had a neatly combed back hairstyle, looking impeccable. He wore a white shirt, gray trousers, and shiny black shoes, typical attire for a teacher.

Under his arm, he carried a stack of lesson plans. If not for the mask on his face, he would have looked like a typical middle school teacher.

The mask, gleaming under the lights, was made of iron.

This was his trademark and his nickname. He was today's boxer—Iron Face.

"Slam!" Iron Face slapped the lesson plans on the desk, his cold eyes scanning the students through the mask's holes, silent and terrifying.

The students, all in character, continued their activities, indifferent to his actions.

"Is it him?" Gao Yi asked Ye Tianlong, looking at Iron Face.

"No, it's him." Ye Tianlong pointed to the classroom door, where Wang Ge had just entered.

Today, Wang Ge was wearing a school uniform, a sight that made him feel as if he had returned to his student days.

His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, his collar unbuttoned, revealing his muscular chest, and his collar was flipped up. He carried a schoolbag in one hand and had the other in his pocket, his shirttail hanging out, looking like a typical delinquent.

Like Iron Face, he wore an eye patch, concealing his true identity.

He played the role of a late-arriving bad student, and the plot revolved around him being punished by the teacher, leading to a fight.

The plot was simple, as it didn't need to be complex. They weren't actors; they just needed to provide a fantasy scenario. After all, everyone had been through their student days, and who hadn't fantasized about defying a teacher's authority?

Looking at Wang Ge, Gao Yi's eyes narrowed. He had never met Wang Ge or heard of his reputation. However, he knew Iron Face, who, though not famous, had a few rare but powerful moves.

Pretending to be casual, Gao Yi asked Ye Tianlong, "Did you bet on him last time?"

"Yes." Ye Tianlong replied.

"Xiao Er can't come, so how about we play a game this time?" Gao Yi suggested, as if the idea had just occurred to him.

Ye Tianlong's eyes narrowed. He knew exactly what Gao Yi was implying.

It seemed there were many who wanted to challenge his position... Ye Tianlong chuckled, as if oblivious. "Sure, how do you want to play?"

"Let's play the same way you and Xiao Er did last time." Gao Yi played with his cigar, smiling deeply.

"Fine!" Ye Tianlong pointed at Wang Ge. "I'll bet on him to win, one million."

Gao Yi, getting exactly what he wanted, replied crisply, "Fine."

Wang Ge, unaware of the two rich boys' rivalry, walked past the podium to a desk, seemingly ignoring Iron Face.

"Stop!" Iron Face shouted, kicking the podium table with a powerful kick. The heavy table flew like a meteor, aiming for Wang Ge's back.

Wang Ge, prepared, didn't turn around but instead sprinted forward, leaping to the back wall. He ran along the wall, then performed a backflip, nimbly avoiding the table.

"Boom—"

The table shattered upon impact with the back wall, showing the force of the kick.

From this, Wang Ge deduced that Iron Face was likely an eighth-level lifeform. Before he landed, a gust of wind came at him.

Wang Ge was waiting for this. Instead of turning, he performed a rabbit kick, tucking his legs and then extending them forcefully toward the source of the wind.

"Bang—"

Iron Face, as expected, was hit in the chest, flying backward and crashing into the front blackboard. The modern touch-sensitive screen was shattered, leaving a large hole in the shape of a person.

"Ha ha..." Ye Tianlong, who had thought Iron Face would be formidable, laughed in relief. "Gao Yi, it seems you're not very familiar with Iron Face."

"No," Gao Yi smiled enigmatically. "I know him very well."

Ye Tianlong frowned. Gao Yi was very confident. Did Iron Face have some hidden trump card?

On the stage, Wang Ge and Iron Face had already exchanged several blows, with Wang Ge clearly dominating. Despite being a seventh-level lifeform, his powerful strength and versatile fighting style gave him the upper hand over the eighth-level Iron Face.

Finally, after being slapped away again, Iron Face, recognizing the reality, spat out a mouthful of blood and grabbed a chair.

It's coming! Gao Yi, who had been calm, became excited, not even noticing that his cigar had burned his companion's hair.

The stage was set for the final confrontation.
