"Good sister, please, you have to help me with this. Otherwise, I'll lose all my face," Liu Shuya walked to the corner, her voice tinged with a hint of tears as she dialed her communication terminal. She glanced furtively at Zhang Qifan, who was sitting confidently at the table, and pleaded.

"What is it?" A slightly magnetic but cold voice came from the other end of the communication terminal.

Liu Shuya was not surprised. She knew her good sister, Du Yubing, was always like this. Known as the "Ice Star of a Billion Years," she had to be cold to live up to her name. However, after knowing her for so long, Liu Shuya was very clear that Du Yubing was actually very enthusiastic when it came to helping her sisters. Otherwise, she would have hung up the call.

Liu Shuya explained the situation in detail and then said with a troubled expression, "The physical examination equipment at the recruitment office is sealed and should be usable, but I don't know how to use it. Please, come and rescue me."

As a former glorious ground assault team recruitment office, the physical examination equipment was standard. However, since it had not been used for so long, Liu Shuya was not sure if it still worked. She lacked the professional knowledge and could only seek help from outside.

"He's playing with you, drive him away," Du Yubing suggested, but her suggestion sounded more like an order.

Liu Shuya, long accustomed to her tone, gave an awkward smile, "Hey, good sister, please, help me." She didn't dare to say that the other party's presence was too overwhelming, and the thought of driving him away never crossed her mind.

After several seconds of silence, Du Yubing finally responded with a nasal "Hmm."

Liu Shuya breathed a sigh of relief. She knew her good sister very well. If she agreed, she would definitely come as quickly as possible.

While waiting for Du Yubing, Liu Shuya didn't dare to return to her chair. She was afraid of facing Zhang Qifan directly, as the pressure was too great. It was strange, as she was used to enduring her father's authority at home and had developed a high tolerance for such pressure. Yet, this young boy, whom she had just met, could give her such a strong psychological pressure, which made her very curious about Zhang Qifan's background.

Half an hour later, the sound of a hover car speeding by grew louder and then abruptly stopped outside the door. A few minutes later, Du Yubing, wearing high military boots, a fitted blue and white military uniform, and a military cap with a red cross on a white shield emblem, strode in.

Her appearance was neat and brisk, but her face was expressionless, cold, and stern. As soon as she entered the hall, her eyes fell on Zhang Qifan, who was sitting at the table.

Zhang Qifan's posture was very upright. His legs were slightly apart, his hands resting on his knees, and his back was straight, resembling a standard military stance.

Of course, Zhang Qifan was not sitting in a military posture. He had discovered that this posture was the easiest to handle sudden situations. Even if he were suddenly attacked, he could instantly jump up from the chair. As a being created for battle, the instinct to fight was deeply ingrained in his soul.

Du Yubing's eyes brightened slightly, and the ice on her face began to thaw a little.

She had initially thought that Zhang Qifan was sent by someone to play a trick on her good sister. However, seeing his upright posture, her first impression of Zhang Qifan improved. In her experience, someone with such a straight back would not be a deceitful person.

Like seeing a savior, Liu Shuya, who had been hiding in the corner, ran over to Du Yubing and whispered, "Thank goodness, you're finally here." Her tone was one of relief, as if she had been under great pressure before Du Yubing arrived.

Liu Shuya's subconscious caution didn't seem odd to her, but Du Yubing noticed something strange. Her good sister was fearless, only becoming cautious in the presence of her father.

"Why are you being so quiet? Your father isn't here," Du Yubing asked, puzzled.

Liu Shuya was taken aback. Realizing her behavior was unusual, she couldn't help but smile bitterly and continued in a low voice, "That little guy has a stronger presence than my father."

Du Yubing's eyebrows arched slightly, and she looked at Zhang Qifan with some disbelief. Could someone really have a stronger presence than Liu Shuya's father?

Just then, Zhang Qifan turned his head and his gaze fell on Du Yubing.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she finally understood Liu Shuya's feelings. At that moment, she had only one thought: such a strong presence.

Seeing that the new woman was also intimidated, Zhang Qifan blinked, and the overwhelming presence quickly disappeared.

Having lived in human society for so long, he had long learned to control his presence. He had not concealed it earlier to keep the other party from overreacting, as he needed to complete his procedures quickly.

To finish the tedious formalities as soon as possible, Zhang Qifan stood up, walked to Du Yubing, and handed her his physical examination form.

Thanks to Zhang Qifan's display of presence, Du Yubing glanced at him, said nothing, and took the form.

Originally, she had planned to make Zhang Qifan feel uncomfortable. The ground assault team was almost disbanded, and he had chosen to join this department. She thought he was trying to play a trick on her good sister, and her plan was to beat him up and throw him out.

Behind the recruitment office was a building that housed the physical examination department. In its heyday, it could accommodate three hundred people for simultaneous physical examinations. After registration, physical examinations, and allocation, you would leave as a proud ground assault team member.

However, the equipment here had been sealed for many years. If it weren't for Zhang Qifan's arrival, it might never have been reactivated.

After the power was turned on and air was injected, the lights in each room gradually turned on. The physical examination department was of higher specifications than the recruitment hall, with a dust-free control center and a fully enclosed system. All the equipment, stored in a vacuum, was well-preserved.

Liu Shuya used her terminal to grant access to the main control and registered Du Yubing's terminal, allowing her to use the equipment. When setting the access level, Liu Shuya didn't know what level to set, so she made Du Yubing the highest level.

Du Yubing connected her terminal to the main control, checked the equipment, and said, "All the instruments needed for the physical examination can be activated."

The physical examination required for recruitment was not complicated. It mainly involved testing vision, height, whether the bones and muscles could withstand intense training, and whether there were any cardiovascular diseases. The equipment needed was minimal, and even the older models could handle such tests.
