6. Uninvited Guests

"Hyper-space communication? This means intelligent life! And they can travel between stars!" Tang Xiao was greatly alarmed. "Mainframe! Immediately locate the source of the communication and notify all combat personnel to seal off the area! Grahame, you're in charge on the scene!"

【Understood.】

A transport ship carrying the Marine Corps took off, heading in the direction indicated by the mainframe.

"Administrator, you're not feeling well, you should return to the flagship," a female resident said with concern.

"I'm fine," Tang Xiao said with a serious expression, turning his head. "Let's go, T-850, we need to capture the one who sent the signal first." As he spoke, he walked toward the landing pad, where another transport ship had just unloaded its cargo.

Following the guidance from the flagship, Tang Xiao, along with T-850 and a few Marines, quickly arrived at a somewhat desolate hill. The transport ship that had arrived earlier had already landed, and over a dozen Marines were blocking the entrance to a hidden cave, occasionally firing bursts into it.

These Marines were equipped with Type 21 assault rifles, which looked very mechanical but were somewhat out of place in this interstellar era. To put it bluntly, when everyone else is using "biubiubiu" weapons, you're still using "dadada" guns, and that's not going to work!

"How's the situation?" Tang Xiao asked as he approached.

"The other side has three people, but they're hiding in the cave and won't come out. They don't speak our language, so it's very difficult to capture them alive," a Marine said.

"You go in, and make sure to capture them alive," Tang Xiao said, wanting to see T-850's capabilities. He turned and said this.

T-850 said nothing, grabbed a metal cargo box from the transport ship, and threw it to the ground with a loud thud. Then, he pushed the box forward with one hand, moving surprisingly fast.

From inside the cave, a few incomprehensible shouts were heard, followed by several red blaster beams. However, these beams were all blocked by the box T-850 was pushing, causing no damage at all. Tang Xiao thought for a moment and then crouched down to follow behind him.

Rushing in, the cave looked like a secret base, filled with various goods, supplies, and communication equipment. Three people dressed in explorer outfits were hiding behind boxes, continuously firing. They were cursing, clearly desperate criminals.

At this moment, T-850 stood up, and several blaster beams hit him, burning holes in his neat uniform, but he barely flinched.

Then, he lifted the metal box, which was taller than a person, and threw it with a loud thud!

Bang!! Debris and broken cargo scattered everywhere.

The three people immediately raised their hands and knelt down, their curses abruptly stopping. They did it so neatly and in unison that Tang Xiao almost thought they had practiced.

"Take them back to the flagship for interrogation, analyze their language. Then clean up this base and see if there's anything useful," Tang Xiao said, rubbing his forehead. The Marines behind him pounced like hungry tigers, pinning the three armed men to the ground.

He looked at the blaster pistols the three had dropped, recalling the feeling from earlier, and raised his hand. Then, something miraculous happened: one of the blaster pistols moved, as if grabbed by an invisible hand, and flew directly into Tang Xiao's hand!

Tang Xiao looked at the blaster pistol in his hand and a smile appeared on his face.

The three people were even more terrified by this, their eyes darting around, afraid to meet Tang Xiao's gaze.

As they were taken out of the cave, they encountered a group of Ewoks. Tang Xiao pointed at the small, upright bear-like creatures and asked the three, "Ewok?"

Even without understanding the language, the pronunciation of such a noun wouldn't be different.

The three nodded frantically, fearing that any delay might lead to something terrible.

Tang Xiao then pointed at the ground, "Endor?"

The three nodded again, and one of them seemed to realize what Tang Xiao was asking, pointing at themselves and saying, "Corellia!"

Then, he drew an arc in the air and said, "Tatooine!"

Finally, he drew another arc and pointed at the ground, "Endor!"

So, they meant they were from Corellia, passed through Tatooine, and finally arrived at Endor? Tang Xiao pursed his lips. Now, Endor should be called Dawn, and it's my territory!

However, they needed to return to the flagship. Since it was confirmed that this was the "Star Wars" universe and they had captured some people, there was no time to sightsee.

Back on the flagship, the three were thrown into prison, and the mainframe was tasked with analyzing their language. Tang Xiao sat in the command chair on the bridge, thought for a moment, and then opened the list of personnel available for awakening. He really needed help now.

Opening the list of elite personnel, he found that many were ready to be awakened. This included several elite biologists, whose only requirement was a habitable planet with a complete ecosystem for research, a simple laboratory, and living conditions slightly better than those of workers.

Familiar with the process, he awakened the biologists, had them report to the medical bay for a physical examination, and then come to the bridge to receive their assignments. Finally, they would take experimental equipment and board a transport ship to land on Dawn.

These biologists would begin studying the ecological structure of Dawn, determining which human crops could be planted. If not, they would need to find suitable local crops. They would also test whether pigs, cattle, and sheep could survive here and study whether any local animals could be used for food.

There was much more work to be done, so Tang Xiao also awakened an expert in management and colony construction to assist him.

Soon, a woman in her thirties walked into the bridge and saluted Tang Xiao. "Hello, Administrator. I am Daphne Clement. According to your appointment, I will assist you in the construction of the colony. Please give me some time to fully understand the current progress, and I will immediately start formulating further plans."

According to the database, Daphne Clement had previously been responsible for refugee resettlement and post-disaster reconstruction, with significant experience in these areas. In one region hit by a super tornado, almost everything was flattened. She and her team worked tirelessly, from setting up tent camps to distributing relief supplies, building temporary housing, and finally reconstructing the town, all of which she managed very well.

Her awakening conditions were not too high, requiring only sufficient supplies and enough personnel.

Interstellar colonization was like feeling one's way across a river, and many experiences could only be found in similar work, which Daphne Clement represented.

"Alright, thank you for your hard work. Please start your tasks," Tang Xiao smiled. "I will grant you the authority to awaken ordinary residents, and you don't need my approval for up to 100 people. You will be our first administrative chief."

"Yes!" Clement straightened her posture, saluted Tang Xiao, and said, "I have a team of people who I hope can also be awakened to assist us."

Tang Xiao waved his hand. "I said, you don't need my approval for up to 100 people. Additionally, the five clerical staff already working here will be under your command, forming the administrative department with you as the leader."

"Understood."

After Daphne Clement began her work, Tang Xiao sat down again and had the mainframe open an editable interface for him. He drew a vertical line and wrote several words on it from top to bottom.

At the top were the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire in opposition, followed by a long section where only the Galactic Republic dominated the galaxy.

Then, the Galactic Republic split, opposing the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which Tang Xiao labeled as the First Galactic Civil War.

Further down, the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems were crossed out, replaced by the Galactic Empire dominating the galaxy.

Finally, the Galactic Empire split again, opposing the Rebel Alliance, which he labeled as the Second Galactic Civil War. He drew a circle here, writing "Endor" (now Dawn), and crossed it out, indicating it was one of the main battlefields.

This was the main timeline of the "Star Wars" universe, and Tang Xiao drew a large question mark next to it. Since there were no signs of war near Dawn, it meant the current time was before the Second Galactic Civil War. However, this still covered a long period.

Tang Xiao took a deep breath and looked at the interface with a serious expression. Now, which era are we in?

{Note 1}: These blaster beams are the "biubiubiu" weapons from the "Star Wars" movies, often criticized as "slow lasers." They are not actually lasers but a form of plasma-based blaster gas, which will be explained in more detail later.

{Note 2}: Like in "Infinite Legend: The Mechanic," I will gradually guide everyone through the world and plot of "Star Wars," even if you haven't seen the series. After reading my book, you will understand.
