Chapter 27 Part 3
Zhou Tingsheng followed Ye Qiao in . The lobby was decorated like a wealthy house from
the early twentieth century . Zhou Tingsheng disapprovingly looked at Ye Qiao: “Do you
have to pick such a pretentious doctor?”
Ye Qiao was willing to give the doctor a fair chance and replied: “I didn’t pick it . ” Qianxi
was a fangirl of <black>and addicted to British dramas as well . The peculiar style</black>
<black>of this doctor seemed to fit Qianxi’s aesthetic taste . She tried to appease him and herself:</black>
<black>“There aren’t many psychiatrists in this country . It’s even harder to tell which private clinic</black>
<black>is reputable . They say this is one of the best in the area . ”</black>
<black>Zhou Tingsheng sneered: “His reputation is probably built by his family’s wealth?</black>
<black>This kind of decor more suited for a restaurant . ”</black>
<black>“Food and s.e.x are only human nature . It’s all you know . ” Ye Qiao’s use of the cla.s.sics,</black>
<black>made it difficult for Zhou Tingsheng to find a comeback . While the office manager was</black>
<black>notifying Dr . Wen, he cornered Ye Qiao and spoke dourly: “Ye Qiao, look at how you</black>
<black>speak, how you act, is there anything abnormal about it?”</black>
<black>Startled by the longs arms blocking her way, Ye Qiao asked in confusion: “What do you</black>
<black>mean?”</black>
<black>“What I mean is that you aren’t sick . ” Zhou Tingsheng was one head higher than her, so</black>
<black>when he looked down at her, she could see the tiny wound which had just healed on top</black>
<black>of his lip . He paused, then continued: “It’s only normal for people to have some psychological</black>
<black>needs, you don’t have to dig for a reason from a scientific perspective . ”</black>
<black>Ye Qiao innocently raised her eyebrows: “Then what to do if not from science? To believe in</black>
<black>G.o.d, like you?”</black>
<black>Zhou Tingsheng frowned .</black>
<black>Ye Qiao lifted her two palms in front of her: “I have no intention to offend your religious</black>
<black>belief, but I’m an atheist . ”</black>
<black>Zhou Tignsheng ignored her attempt to lighten up the serious discussion . He looked at</black>
<black>her sincerely: “No matter what kind of habits you have, I don’t mind at all . ”</black>
<black>“So that’s what you mean?” Ye Qiao finally figured out what he thought her “psychological</black>
<black>problem” was . She met his eyes and teasingly said: “En, thank you for accommodating me .</black>
<black>But despite that, even if you don’t mind it, someone else would . I feel I have to take care</black>
<black>of it along with the other problems . ”</black>
<black>Zhou Tingsheng didn’t really hear the last part of the sentence . All his attention was on the</black>
<black>words 'someone else . ”</black>
<black>What did she mean someone else? Her boyfriend in the future or even her husband?</black>
<black>Ye Qiao suddenly felt the pressure coming from the man in front of her . The grave look on</black>
<black>his face felt like lead on her shoulder . She found it rather unbearable . An absurd idea</black>
<black>flashed in her head . She asked without much thought: “Zhou Tingsheng, you aren’t getting</black>
<black>serious about us, are you?”</black>
<black>The pupils in those sharp eyes quivered ever slightly, he squinted . It was a sign that he was</black>
<black>evading .</black>
<black>Ye Qiao couldn’t believe what she saw and laughed pretending not really care: “Really?”</black>
<black>Something flashed in Zhou Tingsheng’s eyes and his Adam’s Apple rolled up and down:</black>
<black>“I mean, will you go out of this door with me?”</black>
<black>Ye Qiao hesitated and sorrifully said: “No . ”</black>
<black>Zhou Tingsheng was so dejected that he almost felt like swallowing her whole . The</black>
<black>manager’s footsteps came down the other side of the hallway . Ye Qiao took the chance</black>
<black>to break away from his arms, leaving the glooming Zhou Tingsheng behind, who now</black>
<black>looked somewhat dangerous and unfamiliar .</black>
<black>When the manager came near, Ye Qiao asked: “Is Dr . Wen ready to see me?” Her firm</black>
<black>and polite tone made his insistence seem ridiculous</black>
<black>The manager gestured to Ye Qiao: “Please follow me . ”</black>
