(Movie world, please do not connect with reality)
The boisterous laughter and quarreling woke Chen Mo abruptly. Groggily opening his eyes, he saw a dozen or so 16-17-year-old blonde and brown-haired foreigners around him, playing and laughing in small groups. Was he still asleep?
Chen Mo's first reaction was that he was dreaming, but the real feel of the single desk under his hand instantly woke him up.
Rebirth or transmigration?
Just as he was thinking, a flood of memories surged into his mind, and he began to feel a sensation of heat and itching all over his body.
Fortunately, Chen Mo had been lying on the desk, and his dizziness did not attract anyone's attention.
A few minutes later, the dizziness gradually subsided, and Chen Mo, in disbelief, clenched his fists. A faint 'creak, creak' sound came from his fists.
A vague feeling told him that his physical strength had more than doubled, and his mind seemed clearer, with enhanced memory and faster thinking. This was probably the benefit of transmigration.
With a smarter mind and a better body, and given his previous life as an orphan who had only graduated from a third-rate university and worked as a real estate salesperson with a base salary of 1,500 yuan plus commission at the age of 22, he accepted this reality without any hesitation.
Suppressing his excitement, he began to recall the memories of his new body.
After a moment, he understood that he had transmigrated into the body of a 17-year-old black-haired foreigner named Li Changheng, whose English name was Henry Li.
The year was 1968 in the United States. Although the era was distant, with his knowledge from decades ahead, he could at least become middle-class, right?
Becoming a billionaire wasn't a pipe dream either. At the very least, he thought that writing movie scripts from the films he had seen in his mind, and getting one of them to succeed, would allow him to sell the others for a good price.
As he continued to lie on the desk, planning to sort through Li Changheng's memories, he suddenly paused.
Was he destined to be a lone star, even in transmigration, ending up in the body of an orphan who grew up in an orphanage?
"Ring, ring, ring."
The sound of the class bell rang.
Just as he thought he could have a moment of peace, the students around him continued to laugh and chat, showing no intention of returning to their seats.
Reflecting on the memories in his mind, he realized this was a public school, and in the United States, public schools meant that 90% of the students had no future and would work after high school.
Families with better economic conditions, those in the middle class and above, would send their children to private schools. So, don't expect the students in this community public school to be very disciplined.
Of course, nothing is absolute. Some students with strong self-discipline could still get into good universities, but one thing was certain: no one was wealthy.
Li Changheng, lying on the desk, looked up at the clock above the blackboard. It had already been three minutes, and the teacher still hadn't appeared.
"Knock, knock, knock,"
A knock came from the door, and a young-looking Frank Abagnale appeared at the classroom door, holding a course schedule in one hand and a briefcase in the other.
"Is this Grade 12 Class C?"
"Look, a rich kid,"
Hearing the fat student's mocking voice, all the students turned their attention to Frank, who was dressed in a suit and tie.
After a few seconds of silence, the classroom erupted in mocking laughter.
Only Li Changheng, lying on the desk, stared at Frank, whose expression changed several times and who was now frowning, with a dazed look in his eyes.
This scene seemed familiar.
Frank, with a serious face, placed his briefcase on the podium and wrote 'Mr. Abagnale' on the blackboard with chalk. Then, holding a book as a textbook, he began to walk up and down the aisle between the desks, pretending to teach.
As he walked, he said sternly, "Who can tell me which chapter and section we covered in the last class?"
The classroom instantly fell silent. The fat student who had mocked Frank immediately looked worried and quietly sat down, "God, he's not joking, is he?"
The other students who hadn't returned to their seats were threatened by Frank, "If you don't get back to your seats, I guarantee you'll get a C."
"Boom."
The classroom was suddenly filled with the sound of shuffling feet and squeaking chairs.
Li Changheng, however, felt no joy. After confirming that this was likely a movie world, he was worried that his future trajectory over the next few decades might be ruined.
He had previously thought that since it was 1968, he could use the next three years to make money and attend a good university, then join Apple as an alumnus and founder when it was founded in a garage a few years later.
Although the nature of capital would inevitably bring many dirty dealings, who could blame him for being an ordinary person in his previous life with no work experience, who could use the founder's identity to learn at Apple.
Then, by holding onto his shares until the 1980s IPO, he could become a billionaire.
After that, he could gradually sell his stocks and invest in other companies, buying stocks in Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and others, and then live a carefree life as a billionaire or even a multi-billionaire in retirement.
But if this was a movie world and everything was different from his previous life, he would have to think twice about selling scripts to avoid the events in the real world matching the scripts exactly.
Starting a company wasn't impossible, but the well-known companies of the future had all faced numerous challenges and struggles.
Thinking of Steve Jobs, although he had contributed to his own downfall, he was indeed ousted as a founder.
Unfortunately, all this was just talk now. As an 18-year-old orphan with five months left, he needed to focus on how to make money.
With this thought, Li Changheng's gaze fell on Frank, who was seriously teaching the class.
The class slowly passed by.
When the bell rang, Li Changheng saw Frank, now known as Frank Abagnale, leave the classroom. After a brief hesitation, he got up and walked out of the classroom as if nothing had happened.
Following Frank to a less crowded area, he grabbed his arm and, before Frank could speak, said assertively, "Are you crazy? Wearing a private school uniform to scam substitute pay here?"
"What, what?"
Frank, who had initially looked resistant and dissatisfied, lowered his head to look at the school emblem on his suit chest when he heard about the private school uniform, his eyes avoiding Li Changheng's gaze.
His expression confirmed Li Changheng's suspicions.
Smiling, Li Changheng said, "I advise you to find an excuse to leave now. Otherwise, when the school checks your teaching qualifications and identity to issue your pay, you won't be able to run. And there's a police station just fifty meters away. Some idle police officers sometimes come to pick up their children after school, and you won't be able to escape then."
Hearing about the police station, Frank immediately became nervous, his mind blanking out, and he stammered, "I, I didn't want the pay."
