Chapter 7

A group of lizardmen were laughing and chatting as they cooked something in a pot, though it was unclear what was inside. It looked colorful, and the lizardmen didn't seem to mind the heat, reaching in with their claws to eat.

On the other side, a few lizardmen looked at the slaves with disdain.

"Damn it, hurry up, finish eating and get to work."

One lizardman, holding a spoon in one hand and a whip in the other, drove the slaves. However, the slaves were clearly eating something different. Although there was also a large pot cooking, it was obvious that it contained mostly roots and such.

But today was different. Just as they had sat down and hadn't started eating, they heard a loud noise from outside. Then, they saw a group charging towards them quickly.

"What is this? No, they're humans, damn slaves, kill them."

"Right, take their equipment." Those were all metal items, and the lizardmen didn't have many metal objects. Even the large pot was made of pottery.

"Slaves over there, hurry, stop them."

The lizardmen finally realized that the group was moving too fast, and they couldn't catch up in time.

On that side, there were only a few of their own, and more slaves. The lizardmen's whips lashed out, and the slaves, who were about to eat, had to pick up their tools and run towards the elite group.

"These scoundrels, they all deserve a beating."

Liu Wen grumbled in dissatisfaction. There was no way around it; those big-eared creatures were just too much.

When the big-eared creatures worked, they needed to be whipped to be motivated, but now, when they were fighting enemies, they were all so excited, running happily towards them.

In contrast, the human slaves moved very slowly, even running in curves. Although they shouted loudly, it was clear they were not putting in much effort.

The lizardmen were now focused on the invaders and didn't notice the human slaves' unusual behavior.

"Big-eared creatures are just that kind of race. If it weren't for their strong reproductive ability, they would have disappeared long ago."

A knight beside him snorted, gripping his longsword tighter.

"Archers, prepare, fire." Suddenly, Justin's order came from the front. The archers, including the mercenaries led by Liu Wen and some native mercenaries, raised their bows and crossbows.

Some used arrows, others used crossbows, and a barrage of arrows shot towards the big-eared creatures.

Although the big-eared creatures were crazy and had thick skin, they had no armor. How could flesh and blood withstand the attack of arrows? After a wave of arrows, many big-eared creatures fell to the ground.

Then, the group charged forward. The confused big-eared creatures were hit by a wall of shields.

"Bang" It was like a train collision, and the big-eared creatures in front were directly thrown into the air. Then, the longswords swung, and a layer of white mist enveloped the blades, greatly enhancing their sharpness.

One sword stroke, and the big-eared creature was cut in half.

"This must be the knight's aura. The attack power is really strong," Jiang Hen thought to himself.

Under this charge, Jiang Hen's blood was boiling, and he wished he could rush forward and fight. Unfortunately, he had no combat ability at all and couldn't even cast a spell.

Even keeping up with the fast-moving group was a struggle.

Jiang Hen was just a first-rank newly turned class, and he didn't have the status-boosting items that Liu Wen and the others used. Following closely in the middle of the group was quite tiring.

Fortunately, this lizardman tribe wasn't very large.

In just a moment, the slave group was scattered, and the group had already run to the back of the tribe. At the back, a few lizardmen who had just run over still tried to block the group.

"Hmph, get out of the way." Justin, at the front, moved his shield to his side and swept his longsword with his right hand.

A white sword aura suddenly shot out, forming a crescent shape. The crescent-shaped sword aura swept across, instantly cutting three lizardmen in half at the waist.

With one strike, the lizardmen finally realized these people were not to be trifled with.

The originally frantic running steps finally slowed down. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the group charged through the lizardman tribe and ran towards the back.

At this point, the lizardmen who had been left behind stood on the path they had run, shouting loudly.

"Damn humans, if you dare come again, we'll make you our food."

"Damn humans, if you have the guts, stay and fight me one-on-one."

Unfortunately, the human group running ahead paid no attention to them, only slowing down and continuing to run forward.

After running for a long distance, passing through many areas controlled by the tribe, the surrounding farmland gradually decreased, and eventually, there was no sign of farmland at all.

"Stop, rest for a bit. We've already made it through. After crossing the border, there are no organized tribes here, but we need to be careful. There are many wild beasts and monsters here."

Justin raised his hand, stopping the group. After running all this way, the people in the group were already very tired.

Even the knights weren't all second-rank; the first-rank iron wall knights were already panting, as the armor they wore was not light. The second-rank knights, however, seemed unaffected.

Running all this way, Liu Wen and his group were full of energy. Even when tired, they could quickly recover with some special items.

"Let's find food. Jerry, do you still need to study the wolves?"

Hearing this, many people shivered.

"Two more, the demand has been high recently," Jiang Hen said loudly.

He could feel that he was almost done with the diagram. Once the diagram was completed to a certain extent, he could use the world crystals to construct a skill, and then he would have combat ability.

Right now, he was completely useless except for following along.

"Alright, we'll go. Brothers, let's go hunting." These guys were always full of energy at such times; this was a good opportunity to get world crystals.

Jiang Hen wouldn't go with them. By continuously experimenting and researching, he could have a greater impact and earn more crystals than these people. He would let them work for him.
