"God, why did you make me cross over to the Douluo Continent, you wicked old sky!" Tang Geng asked the heavens, his face full of distress.
Having been in this world for six years, from the moment he discovered he had turned from a 30-year-old man into a newborn baby, Tang Geng was initially terrified and anxious. Gradually, he accepted his new reality, but he still had the lewd soul of a 30-year-old man. From a young age, Tang Geng exhibited unusual behavior, speaking and walking at just five months old, which amazed everyone.
After thoroughly understanding this world for six years, Tang Geng finally confirmed that he had indeed come to the Douluo Continent, a very magical place.
On the Douluo Continent, there are two major empires, or rather, two alliances, as within these two empires, vast territories are divided among feudal lords, and there are countless armed nobles.
These two empires are the Tian Dou Empire and the Xing Luo Empire.
He is in the Tian Dou Empire, 300 miles east of the capital, deep within the mountains.
This place, though little known, is famous, as it is the location of the 'Hao Tian Sect,' the foremost of the seven major sects on the Douluo Continent.
On the Douluo Continent, there are seven major sects: the upper three are the Hao Tian Sect, the Seven Treasures Sect, and the Blue Electric Tyrant Sect, while the lower four are the White Tiger Sect, the Elephant Armor Sect, the Phoenix Sword Sect, and the Fire Leopard Sect.
The Hao Tian Sect is the leader of the seven major sects. The current sect leader, Tang Zhan, is a titled Douluo on the Douluo Continent. However, what Tang Zhan is most proud of is not his status as a titled Douluo, but rather his two world-class geniuses, his eldest son Tang Xiao and his youngest son Tang Hao. Both are young and already Soul Sages, known as the 'Hao Tian Twin Stars.' As long as they do not fall along the way, becoming titled Douluos is a certainty.
On the Douluo Continent, the cultivation system is solely that of Soul Masters. Everyone is born with their own Spirit Soul, and a very small portion of these can be cultivated, forming a profession known as Soul Masters. The most prestigious profession on the Douluo Continent is that of a Soul Master.
Spirit Souls are divided into two categories: Weapon Spirit Souls and Beast Spirit Souls. As the names suggest, those with weapons as their Spirit Souls are Weapon Spirit Souls, and those with animals as their Spirit Souls are Beast Spirit Souls. Relatively speaking, Weapon Spirit Souls have a broader range, and most people have Weapon Spirit Souls. The proportion of untrainable Weapon Spirit Souls is also higher than that of untrainable Beast Spirit Souls.
Tang Geng once saw a villager whose Spirit Soul was a hoe, clearly an untrainable Spirit Soul. Even so, he could still plow the fields faster than ordinary villagers.
Spirit Souls need to be awakened, and everyone undergoes an awakening ceremony around the age of six. Today, Tang Geng is about to undergo his Spirit Soul awakening, which fills him with mixed feelings.
On the Douluo Continent, everyone has a Spirit Soul, but only a small portion can cultivate their Spirit Souls to become Soul Masters. Each Soul Master has their own Spirit Soul Power, which is divided into ten ranks based on its strength. Each rank is further divided into ten levels. The initial stage is called a Soul Scholar, and everyone becomes a Soul Scholar after their Spirit Soul is awakened. If the Spirit Soul can be cultivated, when the Spirit Soul Power reaches level 11, they will advance to the next rank, which is a Soul Master. After that, the ranks are Great Soul Master, Soul Sage, Soul Emperor, Soul King, Soul Emperor, Soul Saint, Soul Douluo, and Titled Douluo.
Titled Douluos at level 90 and above can choose their own titles, and they are virtually invincible, standing at the pinnacle of the Douluo Continent. For example, the difference between the upper and lower sects among the seven major sects is whether they have a Titled Douluo as a guardian.
The strength of one's Spirit Soul and Spirit Soul Power will determine the height they can achieve in the future.
After breakfast, Tang Geng's parents in this life took him to the Hao Tian Sect's castle for the Spirit Soul awakening ceremony.
The Hao Tian Sect's main Spirit Soul is the Hao Tian Hammer, known as the continent's top Weapon Spirit Soul. The Hao Tian Hammer is powerful and explosive, capable of overwhelming ten opponents with sheer force.
Tang Geng's parents are not particularly talented, only 27-level Great Soul Masters. In the Hao Tian Sect, where talented individuals abound, Great Soul Masters are not particularly noteworthy and are quite common.
The Hao Tian Sect's Spirit Soul awakening ceremony is conducted by an elderly man. The white-haired elder smiled gently and said, "Children, stand in a line."
About a dozen children stood in front of the white-haired elder, with Tang Geng standing on the far left. Compared to his peers, he was taller and more muscular.
The other children spent their days playing in the mud, but with the soul of a 30-year-old man, Tang Geng clearly had a generational gap with them and could not play together. Therefore, he consciously trained himself.
The white-haired elder smiled and said, "My name is Tang Yin, a 73-level Soul Saint, and I am your guide. Now, I will awaken your Spirit Souls one by one. Remember, no matter what happens, do not be afraid."
As he spoke, Tang Yin opened his bag on a nearby table and took out two items: six black spherical stones and a shiny blue crystal ball.
Tang Yin arranged the six black stones on the ground in a hexagon and gestured for the first child on the right to stand in the center.
"Don't be afraid, close your eyes and feel carefully." As he spoke, Tang Yin's eyes suddenly lit up, and in the children's shocked gazes, he shouted, "Hao Tian Hammer."
Instantly, a large hammer appeared. Tang Geng, seeing this, felt a chill. This is the continent's top Weapon Spirit Soul, the Hao Tian Hammer. Its terrifying pressure made his heart race.
Then, seven rings of light—yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black—rose from his feet, circling from his feet to his head, creating a strange scene.
The first child, witnessing this, screamed, "Ah—" and tried to run away.
Tang Yin grabbed the child, "Don't move. I told you not to be afraid. This is my Spirit Soul, the Hao Tian Hammer. If any of you become Soul Masters in the future, you will also have similar abilities."
The only one who was not afraid was Tang Geng. After all, Tang Yin is a Soul Saint; if he wanted to kill them, it would be as easy as blowing a breath. Being afraid would be useless.
Tang Yin's hands moved quickly, and six faint black lights were injected into the six black stones on the ground. Instantly, a golden glow emanated from the stones, forming a pale golden light shield that enveloped the child.
For some reason, the child, who had been crying and fussing, immediately calmed down and stood there in a daze.
Golden light points floated out from the black stones on the ground and entered the boy's body.
The boy's body began to tremble slightly, and he tried to cry out but could not.
"Extend your right hand," Tang Yin commanded, staring at the boy.
The boy subconsciously extended his right hand, and instantly, all the light points surged out, and a completely black hammer appeared in his palm.
It looked real, not just an illusion.
"Indeed, it's the Hao Tian Hammer, a Weapon Spirit Soul. Come, let me test if you have Spirit Soul Power. If you do, you can cultivate to become a Soul Master," Tang Yin said.
"Grandpa, what should I do?" the boy asked timidly.
Tang Yin said calmly, "Use your mind to retract your Spirit Soul. In the future, when you want to use it, you will also use your mind to summon it."
The boy tried for a while before finally retracting the Hao Tian Hammer. Tang Yin handed him the blue crystal ball and gestured for him to place his right hand on it.
The boy's small, tender hand contrasted sharply with Tang Yin's hand, which was placed on the crystal ball.
After a moment, Tang Yin said somewhat disappointedly, "No Spirit Soul Power, you cannot become a Soul Master. Go to the side."
The child's parents looked disappointed. On the Douluo Continent, being a Soul Master is the most prestigious profession, and the only way to become a person of high status is to become a Soul Master. Not being able to become a Soul Master means being destined to be an ordinary person.
The same scene repeated itself. Out of eighteen children, only three could cultivate to become Soul Masters, while the other fifteen, lacking Spirit Soul Power, could not become Soul Masters.
Finally, it was Tang Geng's turn. Without waiting for Tang Yin to speak, he stepped forward and stood in the center of the six black stones.
As Tang Yin injected his six Soul Powers, the pale golden light shone again.
Warmth was the first sensation Tang Geng felt, as if he were enveloped in a warm and comfortable world. No wonder the previous children calmed down when enveloped by the golden light.
The warm energy seeped into his body, and Tang Geng clearly felt that something inside him seemed to break. All the warm energy instantly surged into his palm.
Tang Yin's eyes suddenly lit up because the golden light points in the golden light shield this time were even more numerous than all the previous children combined. He sensed that a very powerful Spirit Soul was about to appear, and his excitement was evident.
Black light surged from Tang Geng's palm, and the light instantly condensed into a strange object in his palm.
It was a completely black hammer, with a handle about half a foot long and a cylindrical head, resembling a miniature forging hammer. However, on the black surface of the hammer, there was a special glow, and a faint pattern wound around the cylindrical head.
For some reason, when the hammer appeared in Tang Geng's hand, the air in the room seemed to become oppressive, and Tang Geng seemed unable to bear the weight of the small hammer, his arm slowly drooping. His face had turned pale.
Tang Geng couldn't understand why the Hao Tian Hammers of other children were not so heavy, but his was so heavy, making it extremely difficult for him, as if the hammer was very special.
