Chapter 10

After the wolf pack crisis was resolved, the military exercises naturally continued.

Military exercises are large-scale drills conducted under simulated scenarios, involving the mobilization of significant manpower and resources. It would not be easily interrupted by minor incidents.

Similarly, the Red Army, whose commander had been ambushed and killed, was not easily appeased.

After the wolf pack crisis was resolved, all exercises proceeded as usual. The remaining six members of the Wolf Team—Bai Xiaofei, Leng Feng, Shi Sanba, Yu Fei, the small guy, and Deputy Team Leader Shao Bing—were pursued and intercepted by the Red Army, and they were in a miserable state!

First, they were surrounded by the wolf pack, and then they were ruthlessly hunted down by the Red Army. The six of them, after a night of intense combat and continuous escape, were almost exhausted!

Fortunately, they were elites of the special forces. If it were anyone else, they would have been exhausted to death by this crazy situation!

...

The next day, early morning.

Bai Xiaofei and the other five escaped to the edge of a forest.

Sniper Leng Feng entered the forest first, occupying a favorable position to conduct reconnaissance and security. The remaining five followed closely behind.

Shi Sanba, with a gloomy face, was exhausted from the night and couldn't help but complain, "What's going on? The commander has been killed, and they're still chasing us? Isn't this cheating?!"

The small guy was also indignant, saying, "Exactly! Isn't this personal revenge? No way, I'm going to report this to the leadership!"

The cold and proud Deputy Team Leader Shao Bing coldly said, "Just after leaving the original unit, you killed the old commander with a single shot. If I were your company commander, I'd have to kill you!"

The sniper Leng Feng, responsible for security, chuckled, "The old commander said, 'Exercises are like real combat!'"

Yu Fei laughed, "Fengzi, you're too bad!"

Bai Xiaofei: "..."

Listening to the familiar conversation, Bai Xiaofei's frown deepened.

Based on the movie plot, he knew that at this moment, Lao Mao and his team were probably already lying in wait, ready to ambush them!

Seeing Bai Xiaofei's serious face, Shi Sanba couldn't help but ask, "Bai Lang, you look so tense! What's wrong?"

Bai Xiaofei's codename was "Wolf Among Wolves," and since his surname was Bai, Shi Sanba gave him the nickname "Bai Lang," sometimes also calling him "Bai Yanlang," which was unanimously approved by everyone.

Leng Feng, who also sensed something was off, changed his expression and said through the communicator, "Guys, let's move quickly. I feel something is wrong! Our company commander is ruthless!"

Only Bai Xiaofei knew that this had nothing to do with the Red Army, but rather that Lao Mao, Kuang Niu, and other ruthless mercenaries had arrived!

Deputy Team Leader Yu Fei was ambushed and killed by Lao Mao right here!

Facing Lao Mao and his team, Bai Xiaofei couldn't say he wasn't nervous, but no matter how nervous he was, his teammates' lives were the most important!

In the movie, only Yu Fei of the Wolf Team died, but this was the real world, full of variables. The plot might not be accurate, otherwise, how would his arrival be explained?!

Seeing everyone deeper into the forest, Bai Xiaofei knew that if he didn't stop them, they would be in trouble.

He quickly shouted, "Stop! Everyone gather around me!"

Shao Bing was taken aback and then angrily said, "Bai Lang, what the hell are you doing? This is a jungle! Gather around you? If so many people crowd together, one grenade will take us all out!"

The other four also looked at Bai Xiaofei with confusion, not understanding why he suddenly acted so silly.

Bai Xiaofei was about to explain.

At that moment, a flashbang was suddenly thrown from a distance!

"Watch out! Take cover!"

As Bai Xiaofei shouted and lunged forward, his telekinetic ability was fully activated, forming a huge pot lid that directly pounced on Yu Fei and the other four, forcing them all to the ground!

Boom!

The flashbang exploded, producing a loud bang and blinding light!

Fortunately, Bai Xiaofei's telekinetic ability was strong enough to knock Yu Fei and the others to the ground, and the large, pot-shaped telekinetic shield protected them, preventing them from losing their ability to resist like in the movie and being beaten up.

Leng Feng, as the protagonist, had great fortune and fully utilized his protagonist aura. Despite being targeted by the enemy sniper, he was unharmed.

Leng Feng shouted, "Everyone, pay attention! Real bullets! Real bullets! This isn't an exercise! This isn't an exercise!"

On this side, although Yu Fei and the others were not injured, they were still dazed by the explosion.

"Real bullets? Damn! How can there be real bullets?"

"It's foreign mercenaries!"

Bai Xiaofei explained and immediately pulled out a signal flare, fully activating his telekinetic ability, and charged towards Lao Mao, who was rushing over!

Lao Mao, with his high skills and boldness, threw a flashbang, thinking it would be enough, and then rushed over with a pistol, hoping to easily take out Yu Fei and the others!

Contempt!

It was sheer contempt!

Bai Xiaofei was furious and thought, "Lao Mao! In the movie, you succeeded! But with me here, you won't get away with it!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Seeing that Bai Xiaofei, despite being hit by the flashbang, reacted so quickly and seemed unaffected, Lao Mao was taken aback and immediately opened fire without hesitation!

"Maybe this guy has a special physique and reacted quickly, so he wasn't affected by the flashbang?"

Lao Mao thought to himself while shooting, "So what if he reacts quickly? Without real bullets, how dare he charge at me? If he dies, who else will?"

But something even more shocking happened.

Lao Mao had just fired ten shots. With his marksmanship, he was confident that even if he didn't hit all of them, he would hit at least three or four!

However...

The fact was that he didn't hit a single one!

No! It should be said that the bullets were about to hit, but they mysteriously veered off in mid-air and shot elsewhere!

Shit!

Lao Mao, who had never seen such a bizarre scene, was startled.

But Lao Mao was a top international mercenary, with top-notch military skills, combat experience, and awareness. He quickly regained his composure.

At this point, the distance between the two was very close.

Bai Xiaofei fired the signal flare without hesitation, but Lao Mao easily dodged it!

There was no choice!

The signal flare was inaccurate and slow!

Bai Xiaofei didn't expect to take out Lao Mao with just a signal flare. If that were the case, Lao Mao wouldn't be Lao Mao but a sick cat!

Taking advantage of Lao Mao dodging the signal flare, Bai Xiaofei suddenly accelerated and rushed to Lao Mao, immediately delivering a powerful kick without a word!

Lao Mao, true to his name, reacted quickly!

Lao Mao looked up and saw Bai Xiaofei's kick coming. His face remained calm, and he used his arms to protect his head, blocking the kick while leaning back to greatly reduce the impact of Bai Xiaofei's kick!

Landing, rolling, tactical crouch, quickly raising his head, and firing his gun!

Lao Mao's movements were agile and smooth, transitioning from a passive defense to a counterattack in almost no time, fully demonstrating his elite special forces capabilities!

In terms of actual special forces combat ability, Bai Xiaofei might not match Lao Mao, but with his versatile and powerful telekinetic ability, Bai Xiaofei was confident he could hold his own against Lao Mao!

Without a gun, Bai Xiaofei could only try to engage Lao Mao in close combat, which was the only way to fully showcase his abilities!

Fortunately, Lao Mao underestimated the situation and rushed over with just a pistol.

After firing several shots, Lao Mao's pistol ran out of ammunition. Bai Xiaofei seized the opportunity, pounced on Lao Mao, and began to punch and kick mercilessly!

Lao Mao, of course, did not back down and launched a fierce counterattack!

Lao Mao's attacks were vicious and powerful, and a normal person would not be able to withstand them!

But unfortunately, Bai Xiaofei had telekinetic protection. Lao Mao's attacks on Bai Xiaofei, who was protected by telekinesis, were like hitting a mud pit, having no effect, and he could only take the hits passively!

The two wrestled together, and before long, Lao Mao was dazed by Bai Xiaofei!

Bai Xiaofei punched Lao Mao in the face, making him bleed profusely, and then took out a military knife, intending to finish him off with a swift stab!

Bang!

At the critical moment, Lao Mao's sniper fired at Bai Xiaofei!

Unlike ordinary firearms, sniper rifles have a long range and immense power. The most powerful anti-material sniper rifles can even target tanks and missiles, which is terrifying!

Although Lao Mao's sniper wasn't using an anti-material sniper rifle, its power was still formidable!

If not for Bai Xiaofei's telekinetic protection, his entire hand would have been blown off. Even so, he couldn't withstand the impact, and his military knife was knocked out of his hand by the powerful force!

The impact was so strong that it even made Bai Xiaofei stagger, losing his control over Lao Mao.

Shit!

He was so close to taking out Lao Mao!

Bai Xiaofei dodged the sniper's shots frantically and couldn't help but curse.

Bai Xiaofei was extremely frustrated but helpless. If not for his quick reflexes and telekinetic protection, he would have been killed long ago, let alone thinking about Lao Mao!

Lao Mao, who had been beaten up by Bai Xiaofei, was in pain all over and was now enraged!

Seeing Bai Xiaofei being targeted by his teammate, he was about to launch a fierce pursuit, but the communicator in his ear suddenly rang with the sniper's warning: "Lao Mao! Retreat! Their reinforcements are here!"

"Fuck!"

Lao Mao was furious but knew that with just a few of them, they couldn't stand up to the enemy's large force. Reluctantly, he had to retreat in anger!

...
