That night, Yu Hui drove the car around for a long time, and when he got back to the apartment, he bullied Jiang Fu into crying and begging for mercy without stopping. The angry Yu Hui did not give him any chance to speak. Originally, Jiang Fu also wanted to take the opportunity to explain, but all that came out of his mouth were intermittent cries. He lost all his strength in moaning and begging for mercy, before passing out tired and confused.

When Jiang woke up, he felt like he had slept for a long time, his mind was so dull, and he was so sore that he didn’t even have the strength to lift a finger, so he could only lie on his bed and stare out the window.

After watching it for a moment, he suddenly tried to sit up in a sudden burst of excitement, but he could barely move.

Yu Hui walked in through the door, carrying a cup of warm water.

“Chéng, you should be thirsty, how about some water?”

His voice was incredibly gentle, and he cradled the startled Jiang Fu in his arms.

Jiang Fu was indeed thirsty, so he lowered his head and drank almost the entire cup in small gulps, his hoarse throat being gradually moistened, but he still didn’t have the strength to say a single word.

Yu Hui looked at Jiang Fu’s surprised look, put down the glass of water, picked him up and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window, and whispered.

“I thought you said you’d never seen the sea. Look, there’s the sea and the beach, you must like it.”

The sun was so bright that he could feel the heat of the sea on his face through the window. The golden beach was so big and was surrounded by an endless expanse of water.

Jiang Fu leaned blankly into Yu Hui’s arms and opened his lips slightly.

After a few seconds of silence, Yu Hui rested his chin on Jiang Fu’s shoulder and hugged him tightly, his soft voice overflowing with obvious pleasure and stubbornness.

“Chéng, it is only the two of us on this island, and there’s no way you can leave me no matter how much you try.”

Jiang Fu stared slightly. Shocked by his words, and unable to react, his still reddened eyes hooded with moisture. He looked really pitiful.

He strained to curl his knuckles. He wanted to reach out and tug on Yu Hui, like the soft, petulant pampering child he used to be. But after trying for a long time, he still couldn’t lift his hand, and his wet pupils were filled with overwhelming panic.

Yu Hui looked at him for a moment before he bowed his head and kissed the corner of his eye, holding his hand ten fingers together.

“I’ll be good to you. Chéng will stay here in peace and quiet with me, okay?”

Jiang Fu’s face went pale, his soft body couldn’t help but shiver. He wore a loosely draped nightgown that slipped off, revealing a shoulder covered with messy traces of love, butterfly bone sunk out in a charming arc. He trembled like life was being strangled out of him.

Yu Hui concentrated on kissing the side of his ear, a thick, obscure thirst overflowing between his hot breaths, mixed with a few moments of suppressed sadness.

“Chéng, I really like you so much.”

Jiang Fu weakly let out a vague whimper, the overly strong stimulation forced out his physiological tears, soaking his pretty little face. His tears were licked away by Yu Hui.

Yin Hui gave a low laugh, his gentle tone full of spoiling.

“Chéng is so cute when he cries.”

Jiang Fu sobbed and hiccuped, like a beautiful flowering branch that had been uprooted and lost the roots on which its survival depended on. He could only weakly cling to the person who held him in his arms.

It was an isolated island, and Jiang Fu didn’t know when Yu Hui had bought it or how he had been brought here unknowingly. Yu Hui seemed to have prepared the island a long time ago, and perhaps it was the incident at the party that gave him the reason to imprison his beloved on an island from which he couldn’t escape.

Although Jiang Fu wanted to find a chance to explain what happened at the party, the broken-hearted Yu Hui didn’t want to listen at all. Yu Hui fed him meals laced with drugs all day long, then carried him to the beach to see the scenery, or possessed him whenever and wherever he wanted.

Jiang Fu’s movements were restricted, he was always carried in Yu Hui’s arms. After a while, he discovered that the entire island really had just the two of them. The daily meals were fresh, so he guessed that someone would come to the island every day to deliver supplies, but Yu Hui was so afraid that he would escape that he didn’t leave even a trace of the other party ever being there.

But apart from his initial surprise, Jiang Fu quickly adapted to this kind of life. He became lazy and easy-going. Yu Hui’s paranoid desire for exclusivity was as clear as day, so he simply let him have his way.

After many hazy days, a helicopter suddenly landed on the island.

Yu Hui touched the side of Jiang Fu’s face, pressing the man fully into his arms, and walked up to the helicopter. Jiang Fu was nestled in Yu Hui’s arms, still asleep, and only after being wrapped up tightly in a blanket did he wake up. His white skin that hadn’t been touched by clothing for too long shrank subconsciously from the plush prick of the blanket.

Having been tossed too hard last night, Jiang Fu fell back asleep for a long time before waking up completely. He stared dumbly at the strange and luxurious room with a dazed expression on his face.

Yu Hui stood at the edge of the bed looking at him as if he was hesitating about something, his expression actually a little apprehensive. After a while, he knelt down on one knee beside the bed and placed Jiang Fu’s hand on his cheek, light floating in his dark eyes.

“Chéng, if you promise to marry me, I’ll never drug you again, okay?”

His tone was like one of gentle enticement, a desire to exchange his heart to get equal affection from Jiang Fu.

Jiang Fu opened his mouth, as if he wanted to say something urgently, but only spat out a few inaudible vague sounds.

Yu Hui didn’t wait for him to answer. After a moment, he drooped his eyes and whispered to himself.

“Chéng will say yes, right?”

He reached out and wrapped his arms around Jiang Fu’s waist, burying his head in silence for a long while before standing up again, a delighted smile back on his face.

“Chéng, I’ve ordered a lot of suits, let’s try them on, shall we?”

The wardrobe was full of sets of suits, exquisitely crafted and expensive. Yu Hui patiently tried every one on Jiang Fu, and spoke to the mirror frankly and embarrassed.

“Chéng looks good in everything, what to do? It’s so hard to choose.”

Ooh, I actually prefer the third one. The speechless Jiang Fu could only reply silently.

After thinking about it, Yu Hui’s eyes suddenly brightened.

“Chéng, I’m going to hold out the clothes to you one by one, and you can blink once if you like them, or twice if you don’t, okay?”

Wow, how smart! Jiang Fu blinked.

After picking and wearing a suit, Yu Hui carried him outside, only then did Jiang Fu realize that they were actually inside a church that had been carefully decorated, but only the priest was standing silently on the stage.

Yu Hui carried him inside from the church entrance, his steps steady, but his arms tensed as if he were really in the scene of his own wedding.

The priest was obviously already aware of this situation, and even though he could see that the two weren’t exactly on the same page, he still recited the vows calmly.

Before entering, Yu Hui fed Jiang Fu a glass of water that seemed to contain a soothing antidote, and he felt that the strength that had disappeared for so long was appearing bit by bit.

Yu Hui listened carefully to the vow and said firmly. “I do.”

The priest recited the vow again, and this time it was Jiang Fu’s turn to answer.

Yu Hui dropped his eyes, staring at him intently and with unease.

Jiang Fu opened his mouth slightly and tried for a long time before finally spitting out the difficult words. “… I do.”

The tense Yu Hui suddenly relaxed and subconsciously raised a happy smile, but without knowing what suddenly occurred to him, his smile froze, like a rapidly decaying flower falling from mid-air on the humble dirt floor.

Finally gaining back the right to speak, Jiang Fu originally wanted to explain, but really did not want to spoil the current sacred atmosphere, so he planned to save up enough strength to tell Yu Hui later.

Yu Hui was quiet and didn’t speak again, waiting for the priest to announce that they could kiss each other before he reverently lowered his head and gently kissed Jiang Fu without any desire.

Jiang Fu tried to tilt his head up in response, but his strength was still too weak to support his body that had been limp for days, so Yu Hui didn’t notice.

After the ceremony, Yu Hui took him back to the room he had just been in, then called to order the helicopter to prepare to fly back to the island.

In the meantime, Yu Hui’s eyebrows were slightly raised, and he hesitantly looked at Jiang Fu before walking out of the room.

It took Jiang Fu a while before he had the strength to walk, and he held onto the wall with a trembling hand, as if he were a toddler, and when he reached the middle of the room he was exhausted, so he sat down in the nearest chair to rest. The pain in his legs and feet was like pins and needles, a natural consequence of not walking for too long.

Jiang Fu raised his hand and stared at the silver ring on his ring finger with interest.

Mating in the Galactic Age was easy. It only required the connection of their personal terminals, with no elaborate rituals or even the presence of both parties at the same time, so fast that marriage and divorce rates were high.

So, when he heard about this binding ritual of Ancient Earth, he thought it was interesting, but he didn’t expect to have the opportunity to experience it firsthand.

In his moments of newfound curiosity, he took the ring off for a closer look and noticed the letters – “HC”, an abbreviation for Hui Hui and Chéng – engraved in a circle on the inside of the ring.

There was a wonderful emotion rising in his heart at the thought of this mundane object that could really bind the two of them together. Unlike the cold machine of the personal terminal, this warm feeling could instantly soften his whole heart.

Before Jiang Fu had time to process this unprecedented feeling, the door was hastily pushed open, and a girl in a nun’s uniform came in, with a pretty face that was still somewhat frightened and that morphed into a hideous hatred the moment she saw Jiang Fu.

“Jiang Fu! You go to hell!”

She lifted the gun hidden under her broad nun’s uniform and pulled the trigger.
