In the Sergeant's mall, such items were still not available, but from the shocked expressions of the people around him, it was clear that the weapons and equipment for three hundred people were not cheap.

As the equipment was being distributed, Roger gestured for the scholar to maintain order among the newcomers, while he made an inviting gesture to Ye Yun and the others.

There was a small room at the back of the church that had been converted into a meeting room. Roger led the group in, accompanied only by the earth dragon. After everyone was seated, he spoke frankly, "The Ghosts are in big trouble."

In fact, from the recruitment and assembly orders, it was evident that if the Ghosts could solve the problem on their own, why would Roger spend so much money to gather these people?

Those who had managed to survive and sit in the same row as Ye Yun naturally had the discernment to understand this, so everyone looked at Roger attentively, waiting for him to continue.

Roger did not hold back and said straightforwardly, "This time, the system has given me a hidden task along with the faction main quest. The task requires me to find out the purpose of the mysterious organization controlling the Nuya for this concert. To be honest, at first, I thought the appearance of the Nuya was simply to hunt us players, but now it seems that's not the case at all."

Ye Yun asked curiously, "Do the controllers behind the Nuya have any specific characteristics?"

"Not clear," Roger looked at Cang Xing, "Lieutenant Cang Xing, do you know anything?"

Cang Xing, surprisingly, did not show his usual slightly perverted smile and said seriously, "Absolutely nothing. Although I have indeed fought the Nuya, those two times were joint operations by the T and CT factions against the Nuya, and both missions were called 'Punishment Orders.' So when I found out that the Nuya were involved this time, I was a bit surprised."

He showed his white teeth in a smile, "Although I survived those two missions, it doesn't mean I have the ability to deal with the Nuya. I just hid well and wasn't discovered. But I believe I should have the ability to deal with the Nuya now."

He was probably telling the truth.

Everyone nodded inwardly.

Roger sighed lightly and asked Ye Yun, "Sergeant Ye Yun, what is your mission name?"

Ye Yun thought for a moment and decided there was no need to hide it, so he said honestly, "Intervener."

"Ah?" The mustachioed man exclaimed, "I thought you were the same as me, 'Desperate Pursuit.'"

The cold OL woman frowned, "Mine is also Intervener."

Everyone was taken aback for a moment.

Cang Xing said, "Mine is 'Death Hunt.'"

The twins said in unison, "Death Hunt."

The woman in the couple said, "We two are Desperate Pursuit."

"Ah, I see..." Roger muttered, "Even at this point, the system still cares about the faction routes, huh?"

"What does it care about?" The mustachioed man asked curiously.

Cang Xing grinned, his eyes sweeping over the people present, and said excitedly, "It cares about the faction routes. Each person's mission is different based on their faction route when they join this mission."

The man in the couple said, "Isn't that normal? In every faction main quest, missions are assigned based on the faction route. After all, unlike major events, there is no such thing as putting in effort without results in faction main quests, even for..."

He glanced at Ye Yun and the cold OL woman, "Even for neutral evil T."

Roger sighed, "But this time it's different. In the past, even if everyone wasn't united, the faction main quests could still be completed. But this time, if we're not united..."

Ye Yun thought to himself: Given the system's emphasis on this mission, there was indeed no need to divide the faction routes, unless...

His eyes lit up, but he quickly hid it and asked, "Major Roger, what is your mission name?"

Roger knew that this time they had to unite all forces, so he did not hide it and said, "Hidden task, 'Drinking Poison to Quench Thirst.' Investigate the purpose and whereabouts of the mysterious organization and disrupt their actions. The reward is determined based on the completion rate."

Ye Yun was taken aback and immediately understood the significance of everyone joining this mission.

Roger naturally understood as well and sighed, "If I'm not mistaken, among your missions, only the brother on the lawful evil route has the same task as me... Alright, I know how to allocate this mission."

He stood up abruptly and said, "Recruitment order, mission, issued!"

Whoosh!

Everyone present stood up at attention, and although Ye Yun didn't understand, he also stood up straight.

Roger called out loudly, "Everyone will be divided into five teams! Sergeant Ye Yun, Lieutenant Yi Zhi Mei, listen to your orders!"

"You two will each choose five people from the outside to investigate the interveners of this main quest... the location of the mysterious organization, and you must find out the number and whereabouts of the Nuya!"

"Ding!" A light sound rang in Ye Yun's mind: "Faction main quest sequence activated."

"Faction main quest triggered: Intervener (Part 1)."

"Task difficulty: A-level."

"Task deadline: Until 7 PM on October 10th."

"Task objective: Investigate the number and location of the Nuya and the number and location of the Nuya controllers."

"Task reward: Determined by completion (maximum 5000 game points, 1 B-level merit badge)."

"Failure penalty: Unknown."

"Additional task reward: Calculated after the mission summary / side mission calculation / enemy kill calculation."

"Task hint: Even for neutral evil, the T faction does not need bystanders. Major Roger's task allocation is reasonable. You must investigate the enemy's details before the concert begins. This is a task, a test, and a dangerous battle. Prove your worth, and your name will be spread among the T."

"System message: A team first needs a leader, secondly two smart people, thirdly two troublemakers, and finally iron hands to crush everything."

"Yes!" Ye Yun's expression turned serious, and he stood at attention and responded.

Similarly, the cold OL woman, Lieutenant Yi Zhi Mei, also stood at attention and responded.

Roger continued, "Lieutenant Cang Xing, Lieutenant Ri Jian, Lieutenant Yue Jian, listen to your orders!"

"You three will each choose ten people from the outside to assassinate CT faction players, members of the mysterious organization, and the Nuya during this operation!"

The other three also received new tasks and responded, but one of the twins frowned, "No way, we can't attack people from the same faction in this mission!"

Ye Yun was taken aback and gained an important piece of information from his words.

To his words, Cang Xing surprisingly did not agree. The man with a gentle and respectful exterior but a hidden madness and perverted blood asked, "I have a question. What if Sergeant Ye Yun and Lieutenant Yi Zhi Mei cannot investigate the secrets of the people in the mysterious organization?"

"Then you can only assassinate the CT," the cold OL woman said coldly.

Cang Xing smiled wickedly and said nothing more.

Roger was not concerned about this and continued, "Captain Yuan Zidan, Lieutenant Napoleon, Lieutenant Josephine, listen to your orders!"

"You three will organize the remaining people outside and be ready to follow my orders for personnel allocation and deployment!"

"Yes!"

The mustachioed man and the couple stood at attention simultaneously.

"Meeting adjourned. Among everyone, Sergeant Ye Yun and Lieutenant Yi Zhi Mei will choose their team members first!" Roger concluded the meeting.

At the same time, the earth dragon walked over from behind and handed Ye Yun and Yi Zhi Mei a larger silver briefcase each, but he did not say anything.

When they walked out of the meeting room, the scholar outside walked over with a stack of PADs and handed them to Roger.

Roger casually took two and gave them to Ye Yun and Yi Zhi Mei, "System verification, the specific strength and past missions of these people are all in here. You two choose your team members first."

After the two had chosen their team members, Roger saw them out and said very seriously, "I entrust all the investigations to the two of you."

As he spoke, he gave a very solemn military salute.

It was somewhat comical for a priest to give a military salute, but Ye Yun couldn't laugh at the moment.

After parting ways, Yi Zhi Mei suddenly said to Ye Yun, "Let's find a place to talk."
