Dazed and confused, Yin Jun opened his eyes.
"Awake, awake, Sister, he's awake!!"
Before Yin Jun's eyes could focus, a child's voice rang out, running off noisily.
The first thing Yin Jun saw was a beige ceiling, and he could feel the cool breeze blowing in from the window next to him.
Yin Jun struggled to sit up and saw two simple wooden cabinets and a desk around him. An old-style air conditioner hung on the wall, and the bed he was lying on was an old iron bed with a hard wooden board, no wonder it felt uncomfortable.
Seeing this, Yin Jun's first thought was how he had woken up in a rural place. Then he remembered the scene before he fainted.
He quickly jumped off the bed, enduring the pain in his chest, and looked outside.
Outside was the strange mountain path he had seen earlier, and the house he was in was clearly one of the villas he had seen before!
Why haven't I gone back!?
Sitting back on the bed in a daze, the pain in his body told Yin Jun that this was not a dream.
But if it's not a dream, where am I now?
Yin Jun, feeling somewhat anxious, took a while to notice something else was off.
Strange.
Why is the child speaking Cantonese?
Since Yin Jun's work often involved matters related to Hong Kong, although he didn't directly interact with Hong Kong people, he was quite familiar with Cantonese after listening to many Cantonese songs and watching many Cantonese movies, and he could speak some himself.
So Yin Jun was sure he hadn't heard wrong.
After some thought, Yin Jun suddenly remembered that before he was hit, he heard the sound "Ah... be careful!!" But at the time, things happened so suddenly that even if he heard it, he couldn't react in time and was hit.
Moreover, he had been running on the sidewalk, and what hit and pressed him down was probably a bicycle, and the rider was likely a girl, as both the voice and the feeling when she fell on him confirmed this.
If one person speaking Cantonese wasn't strange, why were two people speaking Cantonese in a row?
Where am I?
Just as Yin Jun was at a loss, a tall and graceful girl, who looked to be about fifteen or sixteen, ran in from outside the room. Her fair face was filled with excitement in her beautiful big eyes.
"Awake? Awake? Are you okay? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Running up to Yin Jun, the girl started chattering away.
Seeing her simple attire and her face that resembled a famous Hong Kong actress, Yin Jun was somewhat dazed.
What a star in the making!
Even in the era of Fairy Sister, Little Baby, Big Mi Mi, and Flower Xiao Gu, this face, which was about seven or eight parts similar to hers, would not be outshone, and it was even more natural and unadorned!
His thoughts flashed by.
Seeing her about to touch his forehead, Yin Jun quickly waved his hand, "Little girl, I'm fine. By the way, where is this place? Why are you speaking Cantonese? Is your hometown in Guangdong?"
People generally speak the language of their hometown, known as the local dialect, but Mandarin is understood and spoken by everyone.
The girl was taken aback, then suddenly looked enlightened and slowly said in very unstandard Mandarin, "I forgot you just came from the mainland and don't speak Cantonese!"
Cantonese!
Mainland?
Swam over?
Narrow mountain path?
Villas on the mountain path?
Yin Jun suddenly felt a chill down his spine.
He stammered, "Little girl, where are you...?"
"Who's a little girl? I'm a big girl!" The big-eyed girl glared at Yin Jun but continued in her half-raw Mandarin, "You look younger than me, and you still have the nerve to call me little sister?"
Yin Jun couldn't help but laugh, "Little girl, Uncle is already 28 years old. You look only fifteen or sixteen, right?"
"Ha ha..."
The girl giggled and picked up an old mirror from the side, "You're fooling me, calling yourself Uncle!"
Yin Jun took the mirror and looked at himself, immediately dumbfounded.
Why did he see a boy who was only fifteen or sixteen?
Although he didn't have a full beard, he did have some facial hair.
How did he suddenly become so young?
This appearance was exactly like his teenage self!
Yin Jun examined his hands and remembered the wide clothes, pants, and shoes he had seen earlier, and suddenly realized.
It wasn't that the clothes had become larger, but that he had become smaller!
Running had made him younger by a dozen years, and he didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
"Hey, are you in a daze?" The big-eyed girl looked down at him, "Since I hit you, I have to take responsibility for you. You can stay here with peace of mind. My daddy will get you an ID card, and you won't be deported!"
Deported!?
Yin Jun was startled, and he remembered again that he didn't know where he was.
Getting younger was a good thing, but coming to this unknown place, he didn't know what would happen to him.
"Little... Oh, I'm Yin Jun, what's your name?" Yin Jun decided to temporarily not use Cantonese and only speak Mandarin with her.
"My name is Guan Jia Hui," the girl said crisply.
Yin Jun's heart skipped a beat. Could it be that Guan Jia Hui...?
Without showing any emotion, Yin Jun asked, "Jia Hui, where is this place?"
"My home, where else?" Guan Jia Hui looked at him as if he were an idiot, "Oh, right, you've successfully arrived in Hong Kong. As long as my daddy says you're our relative, you can get an ID card and live here."
Hearing this, Yin Jun felt a thousand wild horses galloping through his mind.
If he still didn't know where he was, he would have wasted six years of work related to Hong Kong's entertainment industry!
Hong Kong!
Just by running, he had somehow run from Hunan to Hong Kong!?
And from the look of it, meeting Guan Jia Hui at this age, it must be the 1970s?
Wait!
Or is this some kind of prank show?
While I was unconscious, they staged a prank on me?
When I fully believe it, the director and crew will jump out and tell me it's all fake?
It must be!
Yin Jun rubbed his face, looking at the innocent and curious eyes of the girl who claimed to be Guan Jia Hui, and for a moment, he doubted his own thoughts.
Finding a girl who looks like her might be difficult, but not impossible.
But finding a girl who looks and acts like her is really too hard!
Wearing clothes from the 1970s in Hong Kong, with such a charming and graceful demeanor, how could she be an ordinary girl?
"Oh, you're awake!"
Just as Yin Jun didn't know what to do, a voice came from outside the door.
Yin Jun turned his head and saw a slightly chubby but very handsome middle-aged man and a beautiful woman in her thirties walk in.
Behind them was a six- or seven-year-old boy, who must have been the one who ran out to get help when Yin Jun woke up.
The handsome middle-aged man was wearing an old-fashioned white shirt and trousers, with a very old-fashioned hairstyle, but he spoke standard Mandarin.
The woman beside him was wearing old-fashioned home clothes, but her remaining charm was evident, and she looked a lot like the little girl.
Yin Jun, of course, recognized them.
No, he recognized their faces.
Seeing their faces, Yin Jun drew in a sharp breath.
If it was just a prank, finding a place that looked like old Hong Kong streets and houses, and a girl who looked like Guan Jia Hui, would be understandable. But if they also brought these two in, it would be truly unbelievable.
Because the man's face was the young face of Guan Jia Hui's deceased father!
The woman's face was the young face of Guan Jia Hui's aged mother!!
Yin Jun had never seen any faces similar to theirs in other materials, programs, or movies and TV shows.
To bring these two together, it couldn't be a coincidence or a prank!
So, what he was seeing was real!
This family of three... no, a family of four, was a real family of four.
The smiling little girl had another name, a name known to many more people.
She was also the big star of Hong Kong, the famous most beautiful woman in Asia—Guan Zilin!
The middle-aged man was her father, Guan Shan.
The beautiful woman was her mother, Zhang Bingqian.
The little boy behind them was her brother, Guan Shihua.
Even though Yin Jun thought he had a thick skin, he felt a bit dizzy at this moment.
"Looks like you're still a bit out of it. Just a minor collision, no serious injuries, nothing to worry about!" Guan Shan looked at Yin Jun and smiled, "You're quite interesting, coming over at such a young age. Where's your family? Did you get separated?"
He was originally from the mainland, moved to Hong Kong with his parents when he was a teenager, and because of acting needs, speaking fluent Mandarin was normal.
Yin Jun steadied himself and carefully said, "I've never had a family, I grew up in an orphanage."
Guan Shan shook his head and smiled, "Since you've come this far and my Jia Hui hit you, it's fate. Stay with us for a few days, and we'll get you an ID card before you make any plans. How does that sound?"
"Sure, thank you!... Thank you all!"
Yin Jun showed his gratitude.
"Rest well, we'll talk more at dinner." Guan Shan smiled and left after a few words.
The little girl, who wanted to chat with Yin Jun, was pulled out by Zhang Bingqian.
The room was left with Yin Jun alone.
