Time ticked away bit by bit.
Shifeng and Heizi were not idle, either, killing level 4 wandering goblins not far from the Red Star Mine.
Wandering goblins, common level 4, with 400 HP.
Compared to the kobolds, wandering goblins were more agile and good at dodging, but their attack and defense were not impressive.
Moreover, the Dark Moon Valley had not been developed yet, so there were relatively more small monsters here, and no one was competing for them. They didn't even need to go out of their way to find monsters to kill.
Shifeng was already a level 3 swordsman, and Heizi was a level 2 warlock. With Shifeng distracting the wandering goblins at the front, their daggers couldn't even touch him with his Agile Swift skill activated. Heizi, after drinking Black Iron Beer, dealt heavy damage from behind, making it easy to kill the wandering goblins. The efficiency was even faster than grinding kobolds.
In front of the Red Star Mine, batches of kobolds lay at the mine entrance, with various ores and copper coins scattered on the ground.
"Brother Hu, this place is amazing. In just over half an hour, everyone has reached level 2 and dropped so much money."
"Ha ha ha, everyone, keep it up. You three, lure more monsters. As long as we keep grinding, we can reach level 3 in less than three or four hours."
Yanhu excitedly directed the three assassins who had just arrived, telling them to lure more kobolds. The spellcasters were all level 2 now, and their speed in killing kobolds had increased significantly. Luring over thirty kobolds at once was no problem.
"Brother Hu, something dropped here." A berserker held a book in his hand and shouted.
"Bring it over for me to see." Seeing something drop, Yanhu licked his dry lips and smiled.
Yanhu took the book and burst into laughter.
"Awesome, really awesome. That kid worked so hard to find this place, and not only did I take it over, but if he knew that the rare skill book for swordsmen is in my hands, I really want to see his regretful face."
"Brother Hu, I saw that kid when I came here. They are still killing wandering goblins around here. They must be very envious and unwilling. Why don't we go and kill them to prevent any accidents?" Youlang's eyes flashed with a cold light, filled with murderous intent, harboring great resentment for being killed by Shifeng twice.
Yanhu waved his hand and sneered, "Let them watch. We'll show them how we quickly level up and make money, becoming the lords of Red Leaf Town, while they can only watch, filled with regret and frustration. Ha ha ha, just thinking about it makes me feel good."
Although Youlang had some complaints, thinking of Shifeng's unwillingness and having to work hard to kill wandering goblins made him feel a sense of relief.
"Wait and see, when I reach level 6, it will be your end." Youlang did not give up on killing Shifeng. Instead, the thought of killing Shifeng at level 6 made him look forward to it even more.
In the forest 60 yards south of the Red Star Mine, Shifeng, using the cover of the trees, was observing Yanhu and his group.
"Brother Feng, can the two of us handle it?" Heizi asked with some concern.
These 11 people were not ordinary players but experts who had passed the Shadow Studio's assessment, and they had two healers. It was impossible for the two of them to kill these people.
"Don't worry, the time is almost up. Let's just watch the show." Shifeng glanced at the time and said calmly, "In a moment, you stand at the back. Kill anyone who is low on HP, don't let anyone escape."
"The time is almost up?" Heizi was puzzled.
Shifeng pointed to the smoke at the entrance of the Red Star Mine and smiled, "Yanhu thought overleveling monsters was too easy. The smoke bombs we left before we left have a time limit. It's only two minutes away from the one-hour mark. They thought they could keep enjoying this place after taking it over, but now I'll teach them a lesson."
Heizi suddenly understood and became even more admiring of Shifeng.
"You're really smart, Brother Feng. Those Shadow Studio guys are finished." Heizi grinned.
They could kill kobolds without taking damage because of the smoke bombs. Without the smoke bombs, they couldn't have done it. If the smoke bombs were gone, the consequences would be terrifying.
Two minutes later, the smoke in front of the Red Star Mine began to slowly dissipate.
"Brother Hu, why is the smoke dispersing?" An elemental mage noticed the disappearing smoke and asked Yanhu.
"The smoke is dispersing? Impossible." Yanhu, who had been lying down, suddenly stood up and looked over. The smoke at the entrance had indeed dissipated. "If it's gone, it's gone. The smoke might be periodic. Ignore it and keep grinding monsters."
Just as Yanhu finished speaking, the normally dull and non-aggressive kobolds all turned to look at the Shadow Studio members.
Over forty kobolds, with bloodshot eyes, let out angry roars, finally discovering the people who had been attacking them, and rushed over.
The Shadow Studio members were caught off guard and were instantly beaten by the kobolds. Level 2 players couldn't withstand three hits from the kobolds, let alone a group of them.
In the blink of an eye, seven people were dead, and the rear members were in chaos, desperately fleeing.
However, the kobolds were fast and quickly caught up to the fleeing spellcasters, each landing a hammer blow on the spellcasters' heads, knocking them all to the ground.
"Damn, what's going on? Why are these kobolds suddenly going crazy?" Seeing the situation, Yanhu started running and cursing.
After all the members had finally reached level 2, they were now back to level 1, and three assassins were even at level 0. It was a huge loss. With this setback, the dream of becoming the lords of Red Leaf Town was shattered. Now, the Shadow Studio's levels were even lower than those of ordinary players, falling far behind other guilds.
Yanhu's heart was bleeding.
"We meet again, 'Rich Brother'." Shifeng blocked Yanhu's escape route and smiled calmly.
Seeing Shifeng's cold smile, even if Yanhu were a fool, he would understand that the kobolds' rampage was definitely Shifeng's doing.
"You're dead, you little brat. You dared to trick me. If I don't kill you back to level 0, my name will be spelled backward." Yanhu, his hair standing on end, raised his shield and swung it at Shifeng.
Compared to the other members of the Shadow Studio, Yanhu's skills were clearly superior.
He used his large shield to block Shifeng's view and stabbed at Shifeng's vital points with a short sword, a simple and vicious move that was hard to defend against.
However, Yanhu's confident attack missed.
"Where did he go?" Yanhu stared ahead, but there was no one in sight.
"Here." Shifeng stood behind Yanhu and swung his sword.
Slash!
-36 damage appeared above Yanhu's head, and his 220 HP instantly dropped to 184.
Hit, Yanhu quickly turned and used a shield bash.
However, Shifeng had already anticipated Yanhu's move, stepped back, and hid behind the shield, then came around to Yanhu's back and swung his sword again.
Without skill buffs, facing a shield warrior's high defense, he only dealt 23 damage.
"You coward, if you have the guts, don't run. I'll take you down in a minute." Yanhu, unable to hit the agile Shifeng, with his HP constantly dropping to 83, had no way to deal with Shifeng's attacks and started taunting him, hoping to provoke Shifeng into giving him a chance to kill him.
"Fine, I'll stand still. Come and attack me." Shifeng didn't hesitate and agreed.
Yanhu sneered, not expecting Shifeng to be so stupid, falling for the taunt so easily.
"Watch me take you down." Yanhu raised his shield and charged at Shifeng. If Shifeng didn't dodge, he would have to fight head-on, and in terms of strength, he wouldn't lose.
However, Yanhu was disappointed.
Just as he charged to within 2 yards of Shifeng, Shifeng used Wind Lightning Flash.
Three lightning bolts pierced through the shield and through Yanhu's body, dealing -28, -35, and -41 damage, dropping his HP to 0.
"You... despicable!" Yanhu glared at Shifeng, spitting blood in anger. If he hadn't charged, this skill would never have hit him.
"Rich Brother, are you okay? I said I'd stand still, but I didn't say I wouldn't fight back. How could you be so naive and charge at me?" Shifeng shrugged, indicating it was purely accidental. "By the way, I really have to thank you, Rich Brother, for all the ores you dropped, saving me a lot of trouble."
Yanhu pointed at Shifeng, wanting to say something, but his body had already turned into starlight and dissipated, dropping a pile of ores and a book.
