The weather in July was stiflingly hot.

In the evening, the entrance of Greek Mythology KTV was bustling with traffic. Wang Chun, the security guard who should have been directing the vehicles, stood by the curb, his eyes fixed on both sides of the road.

Wang Chun knew that in the next few minutes, a car accident would occur, and a girl in a white dress would fall in a pool of blood. He had to be fully alert, not daring to relax for a moment, to prevent the tragedy from happening again in front of him.

Where is she?

Why hasn't she appeared yet?

Wang Chun's neck ached from looking around, but within a hundred meters, there wasn't even a woman in white.

"Being a good Samaritan is so difficult." Wang Chun wiped his sweat, muttering to himself, wondering if the past 60 days were just a dream.

"I'm coming over..."

Just as Wang Chun was doubting whether it was all a dream, suddenly, a graceful girl in a white dress hurriedly stepped down from the curb, one hand on her phone, the other hailing a taxi, looking very rushed.

"White dress!!!"

Wang Chun's head suddenly throbbed with pain. Without time to think, he instinctively rushed down from the curb, grabbed the girl's slender waist, and pulled her. However, due to the suddenness and the excessive force, they both fell onto the curb.

Screech!

With a sharp braking sound, a speeding truck left a skid mark over ten meters long, stopping just in front of where Wang Chun and the girl had fallen. They were no more than ten centimeters away from the black skid mark, a hair-raising moment.

"Can't you watch where you're going? Are you trying to die?"

The truck driver poked his head out, shouted at Wang Chun and the girl lying on the ground, and then sped off with a roar of the engine, leaving behind a pile of broken cell phones.

The girl, still shaken, got up and frantically searched through the debris for her surviving SIM card.

"Thank you, Uncle." The disheveled girl thanked Wang Chun while hailing a taxi.

"Uncle..."

"Uncle, I have an emergency. I'll treat you to a meal when I come back."

"..."

Before Wang Chun could react to being called "Uncle" repeatedly, the girl had already gotten into a taxi and sped away.

"Old lady! Do I look like an uncle?"

Wang Chun cursed at the taxi, but it didn't stop. From a distance, he could see the girl peeking back, having heard his curses.

Wang Chun grumbled, dusted off his security uniform, and sighed at his bad luck. He had thought that after risking his life to save someone, even if he didn't get a big red envelope, he would at least have a chance to meet a beautiful girl. Instead, he almost got run over and was called "Uncle" by a girl not much younger than him. This was unbearable!

"Do I look that old..."

Wang Chun, indignant, walked to the mirror in the KTV lobby and looked at his unkempt, scruffy image. He was stunned.

No wonder people called him "Uncle"; he hadn't shaved for a whole week.

It was already evening, but the sun was still strong. Business at Greek Mythology KTV hadn't reached its peak yet, and Wang Chun, responsible for security, had nothing to do.

Wang Chun wandered around the entrance, his eyes constantly glancing at the Tropical Rainforest Theater next door.

For a whole week, Wang Chun had been looking for a fortune-telling Taoist.

In front of the Tropical Rainforest Theater in City C, there was an open space where fortune-tellers gathered. Every day, blind men, monks, and Taoists would sit on small stools, soliciting business.

As the sun set and dusk fell, more and more fake Taoists and monks appeared, some looking dignified, some with a sage-like aura, and some with a fierce appearance. Various props and badges like "Master of Yi Xue" and "President of the Fortune-Telling Association" were displayed, all to gain people's trust.

Gradually, some last-minute believers fell for the traps, and the "masters" began to speak eloquently, reading fortunes, examining bones, and predicting disasters, all while accepting money with a smile.

...

Seeing the "masters" taking up advantageous positions, Wang Chun calculated that the Taoist should appear in the next few days.

Suddenly, Wang Chun's eyes lit up.

Under the streetlight, an old man in a black Taoist robe was late, carrying a small wooden stool and finding a secluded corner to sit.

Before the old Taoist could sit down, Wang Chun rushed over and grabbed his robe.

"Ha ha ha, finally found you! You owe me two packs of cigarettes!" Wang Chun laughed triumphantly.

"What are you doing? Does this Taoist know you?" The old Taoist looked bewildered.

"Hmph, you don't know me now, but you will in a few days. We made a bet, and you said you could send me to the Qin Dynasty. If you lost, you'd give me two packs of cigarettes. I didn't go to the Qin Dynasty, but I came back 60 days. We were supposed to know each other, but now you don't... It's complicated, but you owe me two packs of cigarettes, and you have to give them to me, whether you like it or not! Also, after the failed time travel, I got a headache, and you have to cure it, or you'll have to pay me..."

"Ah..." The old Taoist stared at Wang Chun, his mouth wide open.

"Didn't understand?" Wang Chun panicked, worried that the old Taoist wouldn't understand him. After all, according to the timeline, they hadn't met yet, and there was no such bet.

"Understood." The old Taoist, seeing his robe held tightly, guessed that he wouldn't let go if he didn't admit it.

"Hehe, good, now give me the cigarettes!" Wang Chun breathed a sigh of relief.

"Fair is fair! I don't have cigarettes, so let's convert it to cash. What kind of cigarettes did we bet on?" The old Taoist, being straightforward, immediately took out a wallet, opened it, and revealed a thick stack of bills.

"They were... Nine Five Supreme..." Seeing the thick stack of bills in the old Taoist's wallet, Wang Chun's eyes lit up. He immediately changed his mind from Wang's to Nine Five Supreme. In fact, he had never seen Nine Five Supreme in City C and didn't know how much it cost. He just knew from the news that it was very expensive.

"Nine Five Supreme?" The old Taoist's eyes widened in doubt.

"Yes, Nine Five Supreme!" Wang Chun said firmly and righteously.

"Alright, Nine Five Supreme it is. Here are two thousand yuan." The old Taoist, eager to leave, counted out two thousand yuan and handed it to Wang Chun, then turned and walked away, not even taking his stool, looking hurried.

"Hey, don't go!" Wang Chun grabbed the old Taoist's robe. "What about my headache?"

"Headache?"

"Yes, I've had a headache since the failed time travel."

"Well... I only know some elemental techniques, not medicine. I can't cure you. But... do you still want to go to the Qin Dynasty?" The old Taoist thought for a moment and asked.

"Qin Dynasty... I need to think about it."

Wang Chun was taken aback. Initially, he had assumed the old Taoist was a fraud, but now he realized the Taoist had some real skills. Although he didn't send him to the Qin Dynasty, he did send him back 60 days. If he really sent him to the chaotic Qin Dynasty, he wouldn't have the courage.

"Alright, think about it. We'll meet here at the same time as last time. If you want to go to the Qin Dynasty, I'll help you. If you don't, I'll send you back to your original time, and everything will be normal, including your headache."

"Deal."

"Promise is a promise!"

...

Watching the old Taoist leave in a hurry, Wang Chun touched the thick stack of bills in his pocket and smiled. The feeling of getting something for nothing was indeed comfortable.

"Wang Chun, you idiot, what are you doing wandering around during work hours?" A middle-aged man in a black suit shouted at Wang Chun in front of Greek Mythology KTV.

"Coming, coming..."

Wang Chun, suddenly feeling a headache, forced himself to grin and ran back to the KTV entrance to direct parking. He didn't dare to offend Manager Chen, who had connections with the underworld. It was said that the security at Greek Mythology KTV all called him brother.

To many people, Wang Chun was just a somewhat despicable and cowardly security guard who occasionally harmed others for his own benefit.

By now, the bustling city was already lit up, and the previously quiet KTV entrance was now bustling with traffic and people.

No one noticed Wang Chun's existence, as no one would notice a security guard, even if they passed by. To many, a security guard was just a mindless robot, without emotions.

Amidst the crowd and traffic, Wang Chun often faced scolding but continued to work diligently. He had no choice; this was his job. Even if he hated it, he would try his best to do it well, as it was his professional duty, unless he wanted to quit.

In the past, Wang Chun wouldn't have cared about the discrimination and neglect, but now, he was constantly in agony. Every time he was scolded or discriminated against, his headache would flare up, like bombs exploding in his head, causing him unbearable pain.

"Moon Above..." Wang Chun's knockoff phone rang with a loud song.

Wang Chun took out his phone and saw that the caller was his ex-girlfriend, Yingzi. Without thinking, he hung up immediately.

"Moon Above..." Just as Wang Chun hung up, the aggressive ringtone sounded again.

"Why didn't you answer my call?" Yingzi demanded angrily.

"Ah... I pressed it by accident." Wang Chun looked submissive, realizing that he hadn't broken up with Yingzi yet. Thinking about the possibility of a night with his ex, he changed his mind and decided to "rekindle the past" that evening.

"Hmph! What are you doing?" Yingzi asked coldly.

"I'm at work."

"Oh, book a private room for me."

"What for? Greek Mythology is expensive!"

"Today, some of my high school classmates are coming over... Don't worry about it, just book the room. Someone else will pay."

"But..."

Before Wang Chun could finish, Yingzi hung up, leaving a busy signal.

"Bang!"

Wang Chun threw his phone to the ground in anger, shattering the knockoff Apple phone he had saved for two months to buy.
