-From Chai's Perspective, Mistaken for a Dog-

The place I fled to was the abode of the King of Fenrir.

I was prepared to die, but was only confirmed to exist and allowed to stay.

How much time has passed since then?

I only struggled to keep myself from the overwhelming power of the evil eye that sought to take over me.

How many more days will this consciousness last?

I can't even stand.

I can hardly tell if my will is truly my own.

It's probably time to choose my end.

I can't burden Fenrir, who gave me a place to stay.

I wouldn't be in the same place if it weren't for such a time.

Just as my consciousness was about to slip away, I sensed a strange presence and forced my eyes open.

What I saw was despair.

The King of Fenrir had brought a human to this place.

What that means.

The King's death.

The surviving Fenrir growled in warning.

The King responded to the growl.

Responded?

Was he not consumed?

As I wondered, a warm light spread through the room multiple times.

With each light, the discomfort in my body began to fade.

The loathsome discomfort I had felt for decades.

I never thought it would disappear...

I finally realized that this light was a purification.

Just, a very powerful purification I had never seen before.

A human with mysterious magical power.

But, that power healed my long-suffering body as if wrapping it in a warm embrace.

……

When I started serving my master, I realized his magical power was extraordinary.

He used barriers, which require constant magic, without any effort.

At first, I worried about magic exhaustion, thinking it was insane...

Is my master a monster?

He has been using barriers to stay alive.

Even when he enlarges the barriers, there's no sign of his magic running out.

The amount of magic he has is terrifying.

I saw a human who showed no reaction to mithril for the first time.

Humans usually react strangely to mithril.

Moreover, moving a huge chunk of orichalcum with magic?

Orichalcum is a mineral that is difficult for magic to penetrate.

I couldn't help but step back at the sight before me.

It might be a mistake to categorize my master as a human.

Just in terms of magic, I've never seen or heard of anything like it.

I often feel a sense of fear.

But when my head is petted, warm magic flows from my master.

No matter how much power is shown, this warmth is hard to let go of.
