- From the Perspective of the Large Spider -

I watch as a small golem places a board on a wooden frame.

It’s a curious sight.

Golems are a weapon created by humans, designed to combat monsters and magical beasts.

Yet, this one is rather endearing in size and has been busy making something for a while.

I’ve never seen a golem like this before.

Then again, my master’s magic is always something I’ve never encountered.

I can feel my lost power gradually returning, thanks to my master’s magic.

The power I used for a long time to protect my companions.

Even so, I lost many of them.

My body and my children’s bodies could no longer be maintained, and we were approaching extinction.

Now, slowly but surely, we are returning to our former state.

The warm magic envelops my injured body.

My master’s magic is comforting.

However, I wonder how many golems my master can create at once.

Even the most renowned mages could only create up to three golems at most.

Despite their small size, my master’s golems exude an unfathomable power.

And I can sense a self-awareness in my master’s golems.

Golems are supposed to follow their master’s commands and execute them.

They are inorganic beings and cannot do anything more.

Yet, I feel a sense of will in these inorganic beings…?

Despite my doubts, the pair of golems in front of me…

They place the board on the wooden frame and clap their hands together, seemingly rejoicing.

There’s another one using a mithril knife to shave the board, but it’s not going well.

Seeing this, another golem comes to help.

And… the golem bows its head… probably in gratitude?

The first one shows joy, the second one shows gratitude.

These are actions that are unthinkable for inorganic beings like golems.

My master’s power is so unknown that I cannot fully comprehend it.

……

I introduced the creature called Swasowa, which can spin threads, to my master,

but I never expected it to attack my master.

Still, the poison couldn’t penetrate my master’s barrier.

Swasowa’s poison is highly toxic.

It doesn’t affect me, but it would be fatal to humans.

It’s a troublesome poison that can pass through a half-hearted barrier.

But in front of my master’s robust and hard barrier, even that potent poison is meaningless.

I thought that attacking the barrier would trigger a counterattack,

but my master didn’t attack Swasowa. It was scared.

My master’s attack would likely destroy not only Swasowa but me as well in one strike.

It’s that powerful.

The attack on the barrier at night.

The counterattack’s light streaking across the night sky.

Even though it was an attack, I was momentarily captivated by its beauty.

I would never want to experience it myself…
