As the shadow covering them emitted a white light, it gradually dissipated into fragments of light and disappeared.
The numerous corpses that had appeared also faintly glowed and vanished into the air.
Though it’s hard to say much since they were corpses, in a sense, it was a very beautiful moment.
After watching the light completely fade away, I checked the living wolves.
There were four wolves, slightly smaller than the ones I had brought here.
One more that looked like a different species of wolf... or a dog.
Its face was too scary to be a dog, right?
It’s probably a dog.
Compared to the first one I met, it’s not as scary.
The first one was encountered during a panic, so the shock was less.
Before that, my head was in a state of shock.
If I were in a slightly calmer state now, I can’t even imagine what kind of mistake I might have made.
Yeah, it’s good that the future is here.
“Filthy.”
Everyone seems to look pitiful at my words.
Do they understand what I said?
They might be quite intelligent.
I remember wolves are supposed to be smart animals.
Now, let’s clean up the dirt and make it nice and clean.
With that, I meet the clean wolves and the dog with their sleek fur.
There are two wolves with fur that can be described as silver.
One wolf with black fur and one with white fur.
The dog is generally brown with black fur mixed in here and there.
When lined up, the dog is about the size of the smaller wolves.
Is it a bit scared of the wolf next to it?
“Get along, okay?”
Since all their tails are wagging, it should be fine.
The thing that concerns me about these guys is how thin they are.
There’s nothing I can do about that right now.
So, what should we do next?
After purifying the cave, it turns out to be a fairly large hollow space.
It’s probably over 50 meters wide and long.
I can’t be sure, though.
Besides the entrance from outside, there are two other exits leading somewhere.
“Do you know what’s there?”
I point to the two exits in turn and ask the wolves.
The wolves shake their heads.
They seem to understand the words...
But I can’t be certain.
The other wolves and the dog react the same way.
I’m not sure if they understand the words, but they seem to understand what I’m asking.
If that’s the case, I can probably rely on them.
There’s no point in staying here.
Even though it’s spacious, it’s a bit unsettling to be at what could be considered an entrance.
I need to consider what might happen if we’re attacked.
We need to check what’s inside or if something is there.
It wouldn’t be funny if we were attacked from behind.
I approach one of the two exits.
The six of them follow behind.
They seem to be coming with me, which is reassuring.
