Chapter 60

Using the House Extension the next day, I relaxed in my newly habitable home.

Ah, it’s really nice to have a house of my own. It’s not new, but it feels great.

Right now, we are all gathered around the table in the living room, but yesterday was quite hectic. We bought and moved furniture, and it took up the whole day to bring everything inside.

Thanks to the Power Bracelet, I could carry things like beds and tables by myself, which made it much easier than in the original world. When we borrowed a cart to move things, we did stand out a bit, but there was nothing we could do about that.

“Lord Ohtaka, are you really okay with this?”

“Yeah, no problem. I’m fine even if I sleep on the floor.”

Currently, there are three private rooms in this house. After expanding the hallway, we added more rooms. The added rooms have no windows, white walls, and wooden floors. I think they are about 10 tatami mats in size. There is a ventilation fan, so the air can be refreshed, but I don’t know where it leads to.

These rooms are larger and cleaner than the original two rooms, and I thought it was impressive that they came from a gacha item. They are quite expensive in terms of points, but they are definitely worth it.

These three rooms are all used as private rooms for the girls. I don’t have a room. Everyone said I should use the added rooms, but I said it was fine to let them have them first.

The comfortable self-power generation was tempting, but it wasn’t that urgent. So, I decided to sleep on the sofa in the living room or roll around with a sleeping bag until I have my own room.

Since they always take care of me, I wanted to prioritize them at times like this.

“Is it really okay for me to have that room?”

“It’s fine. Just having a room is enough for me.”

“I don’t mind either. I don’t care if I sleep on the floor like Lord Ohtaka.”

After discussing, it was decided that Estelle would use the newly added room, and Noll and the others would use the original rooms. I don’t know how they decided, but it seems they managed to do so peacefully.

Sisha said she doesn’t mind sleeping on the floor like me, but I want her to sleep properly in a bed. I don’t want her to end up like me.

“Well, now that we have a base, what should we do next?”

“Hmm… We should also consider expanding the base, but should we prepare for the gacha?”

I didn’t aim for it, but we ended up getting a house from the item gacha.

I was thinking about what to prioritize next, but then Noll suggested we should prepare for the gacha.

The moment I heard that, I stared at Noll’s face and gripped her hands with both of mine.

“W-What? Why, Lord Ohtaka!?”

“I’m incredibly moved right now… I never thought I’d hear Noll suggest preparing for the gacha. Finally… finally, you understand my feelings!”

Noll, who used to hate collecting magic stones, is now willing to do it voluntarily. My efforts have finally paid off… Welcome to the gacha addiction. I feel like crying.

“No, no! It’s not that! I didn’t mean to—”

“You don’t have to be embarrassed. How about… we look for other hunting grounds besides the northern cave? We’re four now, so we might find a more efficient place.”

“Looking for new hunting grounds! I want to take the lead this time and find a good spot!”

She’s waving her hands and saying no, but is she blushing? There’s no need to be so embarrassed. You should be more honest with yourself.

Sisha is being too honest, and I want her to be a bit more reserved. And don’t volunteer to take the lead; you’re a priestess, after all.

“Noll…?”

“What, is it my fault! But Estelle thought about it too!”

“Yes, that’s true. Since the house can be expanded through the gacha, aiming for that isn’t a bad idea.”

Estelle is looking at Noll with a stern gaze, but it seems she had the same idea.

That’s right, that’s right. The gacha is a good thing. If we think positively, even if we fail, we can still get points from the feed… right?

Anyway, it seems everyone is now positive about the gacha, so I think the House Extension was a good decision.

“Yeah, yeah. That’s right. Then—”

“But if you go overboard again, okay?”

“Ah, yes…”

Estelle held her staff, and a bolt of lightning shot out from the tip. She then looked at me silently and smiled.

I feel the silent pressure… Sisha, who was excited about going hunting, also became quiet and lowered her head.

“So, how many magic stones do we have now?”

“596 after using the item gacha.”

“That’s a decent amount.”

We need 4 more to reach 600. That’s 12 sets of 11. With the current amount, we can still do some gacha.

But there’s a possibility of a 33-set gacha, and we can never have too many magic stones. It would be nice to gacha without worrying about the limit someday… but I feel like I might forget something important if I do.

“Hmm, let’s go back to the basics and visit that forest.”

Since we’re in Brunne, let’s go to the forest with the orcs again.

●

We used to walk, but this time we used a magic carpet, so we arrived quickly. We avoided a few adventurers on the map.

It’s been a while, but the goblins are still walking in front of the forest. This place hasn’t changed.

“Ugh… It reminds me of that time…”

“Sorry about that.”

I was about to enter the forest, but Noll hesitated, perhaps remembering the first campaign.

I feel bad about what I did back then… I’ll be more careful not to do that again. But Sisha would probably enjoy it…

“They’re weak despite their size.”

“Even being blown apart, you say that so casually… But even when we were low-level, we handled them easily.”

Sisha casually dispatched an orc that appeared, blowing away its upper body with a single strike.

It’s overkill… but thinking about it, we’ve leveled up a lot since then. The efficiency of hunting here now… it was already one-hit kills back then.

Since we don’t have to worry about being killed, it feels more relaxed to hunt.

“By the way, we only found the respawn point back then, but what’s deeper in the forest?”

“Who knows? Maybe it’s just more forest?”

Last time, we hunted in a relatively shallow area. The forest is quite extensive, and there don’t seem to be many respawn points. Is there something deeper in the forest?

“Exploring sounds fun! Lord Ohtaka, let’s go deeper!”

“It’s a bit exciting to feel like we’re on an adventure! It would be great if we found a strong enemy.”

“I don’t like the idea of bugs, but it sounds a bit fun.”

Noll and the others are quite enthusiastic about going deeper. We have a map app and a beacon at home, so we won’t get lost.

I haven’t done much exploring before, so it’s exciting to be able to do this. I don’t want to find a strong enemy, but I don’t think there are any in such a place.

I don’t like bugs either, but going deeper might be worth it. Maybe we’ll find something like we did during the big hunt.

“Huh? What’s this?”

“What’s wrong, big brother?”

“Ah, look at this.”

After walking for a while, a small black circle appeared on the map. It didn’t show up on the overall map, but it suddenly appeared when we got close. What’s going on?

“What is this?”

“Does it mean there’s something here?”

Hmm… I haven’t heard of anything in the forest, and it’s unlikely that anyone would search a forest full of monsters.

The fact that it’s shown on the map app feels like we’re being told to go there… but it’s a bit scary.

“Thinking about it won’t help, let’s go check it out.”

If it was just Noll and me, I probably wouldn’t have chosen to go, but now we have four people. We can handle most situations.

Okay, let’s go and see what’s there.

“Hmm? What’s this?”

“It looks like an entrance.”

We walked for a while and arrived at the location marked on the map. There was a large hole in a half-dome of earth.

It’s big enough for people to walk through easily. Looking inside, it’s pitch black and feels like it’s sucking you in. It probably leads underground.

“Doesn’t this look like a dungeon?”

“A dungeon? …Yeah, it does.”

It does look unnatural, like a dungeon entrance. It doesn’t seem to have been there before, but appeared suddenly.

Hmm… Should we go in? There might be dungeon-like monsters.

…Let’s go in and check for monsters before deciding whether to proceed.
