"He's going to kill someone!" Ling Xuan, staring at Chu Ying's disappearing back, cried out in shock, "Brother-in-law, come back here!"

As she spoke, she ran towards Chu Ying, but Ling Siyi's voice stopped her from behind, "If he's going to kill someone, let him go. Why are you getting involved?"

Ling Xuan paused, turned around, and smiled, "I don't know if this guy can actually do it. Should we help him?"

Ling Siyi replied, "That's his own trouble. Let's see how he handles it."

Ling Xuan nodded thoughtfully, "Right, let's treat it as a test for him."

Ling Siyi sighed lightly, "I hope he won't disappoint us."

If anyone else had heard the sisters' conversation, they would have been shocked. It seemed that killing someone was just a trivial matter to them.

Led by the worker, a group of people in police uniforms appeared before Chu Ying. At that moment, Huanzi was arguing with the police, but the police seemed to ignore her, showing a cold and indifferent attitude.

"That's Chu Ying. He crashed my car and beat me up. Arrest him quickly!" Zhang Baogang, with his sharp eyes, spotted Chu Ying as soon as he appeared and pointed at him to the police.

"Are you Da Ying?" Wang Henian, the chief of the Qingshan Town police station, was nearly forty but still a small chief, which made him somewhat resentful. So when he received the report from the town mayor's son, he immediately rushed over. If he could get close to Zhang Baogang, his future would be bright.

He knew a bit about the town mayor, Zhang Gang, who had connections above.

Chu Ying looked at Zhang Baogang and laughed, "Are you even a man?"

A flash of resentment crossed Zhang Baogang's eyes, and he sneered, "No matter how eloquent you are, the evidence of your crime is clear. There's no way you can deny it. You have two choices: pay up or go to jail. Choose!"

His intention was clear. In Zhang Baogang's eyes, Chu Ying, the country bumpkin, couldn't possibly afford to pay, so he just wanted him to go to jail.

In fact, Zhang Baogang had long hated Chu Ying. This country bumpkin had embarrassed him in front of Ling Xuan, and even after knowing his identity, he still dared to crash his car and beat him up in front of Ling Xuan. This was something he couldn't tolerate.

Zhang Baogang had initially planned to find some people to beat up Chu Ying, but when he called the biggest thug in town, Li Dong, and mentioned Chu Ying, Li Dong hung up without a word and turned off his phone.

With no other choice, Zhang Baogang decided to use the police. His father was Zhang Gang, and in Qingshan Town, no one dared to say no to him. Even if he killed this country bumpkin, it wouldn't be a big deal.

"Please cooperate with us and come back with us for an investigation. The duty of the police is to catch every criminal and not to wrong any innocent person!" Wang Henian's words sounded righteous, and he appeared to be a rare public servant.

"Going back is fine, but why should I go with you? Just based on that guy's word, you want to arrest someone? That's a joke, right?" Chu Ying turned to Wang Henian, his eyes full of defiance. "Da Ying, do you want to resist arrest?" Zhang Baogang said sternly.

Chu Ying mocked, "The police have procedures. What if this guy is lying?"

Wang Henian noticed the displeasure in Zhang Baogang's eyes and was anxious. If he couldn't help the town mayor's son, his plan to climb the ladder would be ruined. Without waiting for Zhang Baogang to speak, Wang Henian shouted, "As Zhang Baogang said, your crime is clear. If you resist arrest, we will use force!"

Chu Ying countered, "What crime did I commit?"

Zhang Baogang sneered, "You crashed my car and beat me up. What crime did you commit?"

Chu Ying laughed and nodded, "At the time, you told me to crash your car, and you said you wouldn't hold me responsible even if I did. If that's a crime, then you're inciting a crime, and you're the main culprit. I'm just an accomplice!"

He paused and continued, "I did hit you, but you weren't seriously injured. It was just a fight, not a crime. If you want medical expenses, I can pay you."

Zhang Baogang was clearly stunned by these words. He didn't expect a country bumpkin to know so much, but he was used to being domineering and shouted, "You're lying. Why would I be stupid enough to let you crash my car?"

"He's not lying. You told him to crash your car, and I'm a witness! You also insulted him and were the first to hit him. Da Ying was just defending himself. Zhang Baogang, stop making a fuss!" A cold voice came from behind as the situation was at an impasse.

Everyone turned to see Ling Xuan standing beside Chu Ying, her expression cold and mocking as she looked at Zhang Baogang.

"Me too, I'm a witness!" Huanzi, surprised by Ling Xuan's support for Chu Ying, exclaimed happily.

Wang Henian, a seasoned official, saw that Ling Xuan was not someone to be trifled with. If he forcibly took Chu Ying away without solid evidence, he might be accused of misconduct, which would be counterproductive. But if he left without doing anything, he couldn't explain it to Zhang Baogang or the town mayor, Zhang Gang.

Zhang Baogang glared at Ling Xuan, "Bitch, you'll regret crossing me!" He turned to Chu Ying, "Remember, I won't let you off!"

"Is that a threat?" Chu Ying's lips curled into a cold smile.

"You can take it that way!" Zhang Baogang didn't turn back, but his tone revealed his anger.

Chu Ying said to Wang Henian, "Officer, he's threatening me. I want to report it!"

Wang Henian's lips twitched. He knew that staying here any longer might get him entangled with this seemingly harmless guy. He forced a smile, "Dismissed!" and led the police away in their cars.

As they watched the group leave, Ling Xuan whispered in Chu Ying's ear, "I didn't expect you to be not only skilled in martial arts but also sharp-tongued!"

Ling Xuan's breath was like a fragrant breeze, making Chu Ying's heart itch. He unconsciously leaned his shoulder against hers and teased, "My skills in bed are even better!"

"Get lost! Pervert!"
