"Brother Ying, cough, cough, I got it!" The fat man hurriedly replied. Although he was in excruciating pain, he could only grit his teeth and endure it, giving a nasty look to the tattooed man who also looked terrible. The fat man said coldly, "Let's go!"
Everyone nodded and ran towards the cars.
An expert's move reveals their skill. This seemingly frail young man, Chu Ying, would always leave his opponents with broken bones or torn ligaments. He was definitely a master. Attacking him in a group might defeat him, but the cost would be extremely high. Thinking of the tattooed man, Ah Biao, no one dared to repeat his mistake.
Dealing with such a bully, making an example of one was the simplest and most direct method. Chu Ying's voice came from behind the group, "Hold it."
The fat man, Li Dong, changed his expression. But when he turned around, he wore a fawning smile, "What else do you need, Brother Ying?"
Chu Ying chuckled, "I said to get lost, but I didn't say to walk. Can't you roll? I can find someone to demonstrate for you, and it won't cost you a thing!"
As he spoke, Chu Ying stepped forward and kicked one of the men in the stomach. The man howled in pain and rolled uncontrollably forward.
The fear in everyone's eyes towards Chu Ying grew. This guy was a freak!
Seeing that they were all stunned, Chu Ying said casually, "Whoever can't roll, step forward. I don't mind teaching you again, and I'm very patient."
The man who had been kicked by Chu Ying was just about to get up, but hearing this, he trembled and actually started rolling on the ground.
With one person leading, the others followed. Despite their tough appearances, they were all cowards who would show their true colors when things got tough. They usually acted arrogantly, but when in trouble, they would cower. This was their way of life, or they would have been eliminated long ago.
Only the fat man Li Dong, the muscular man who fought in underground boxing, and the tattooed man were left. The three of them didn't know what to do, neither wanting to leave nor stay.
Chu Ying smiled, "I didn't expect you three leaders to be so stupid. Your subordinates can roll, but you can't? I'll teach you!"
The fat man knew that this guy would attack without hesitation and wouldn't listen to reason. He quickly said, "Brother Ying, you misunderstood. I taught them, so how could I not know how to roll?"
Chu Ying continued to smile, "If you know, why aren't you rolling?"
The fat man looked at the three Wuling cars and said with a bitter smile, "We'll roll, but what about our cars..."
Chu Ying waved his hand, "Since you can roll, you won't need these cars anymore. I can't roll, so consider them a gift to me, okay?"
It seemed like a suggestion, but his tone left no room for negotiation. The three men exchanged glances, their faces changing. They had come to beat him up, but now they were beaten and lost their cars.
Chu Ying smiled, "But these cars are useless to me. If you want them, they're five thousand each. The price goes up by five thousand each day. If no one claims them in three days, I'll smash them and sell them as scrap!"
Chu Ying had thought about the price beforehand. If he set it too high, they might as well buy new ones. If he set it too low, he wouldn't make any profit.
"That's settled. You have three seconds to disappear from my sight, or I'll start beating you up!" Chu Ying pulled out the keys to the three cars and waved them in front of the three men.
The three men didn't dare to haggle and ran off like a flash, their speed rivaling that of a sprinter.
Huanzi and Chu Xin watched everything from the door crack. When the fat man and his group left, the two of them exchanged a glance, both seeing the relief and joy in each other's eyes.
Chu Ying's dominance finally allowed them to relax, no longer worrying about the demolition.
After a busy day, night slowly fell. Chu Xin prepared a meal, and soon four dishes and a soup were ready. Huanzi brought back a box of cold beer from the village store, as a welcome for Chu Ying.
The vegetables were home-grown. Chu Ying, eating the slightly earthy greens, felt a sudden urge to cry. It had been sixteen years since he last felt like he was home. The exotic delicacies he had eaten before were tasteless compared to these simple dishes.
"Huge Eagle, are you going to leave again this time?" Huge Eagle was Chu Ying's nickname, and Huanzi always called him that. Huanzi knew that the current Huge Eagle was no longer the little kid he used to be. He faced danger calmly and had driven away the group twice. Someone like Huge Eagle wouldn't be content to stay here forever.
Hearing this, Chu Xin's hand holding the chopsticks trembled, and she stared at Chu Ying.
Chu Ying gave Chu Xin a reassuring look and smiled, "My adoptive parents have passed away, and I've quit my old job. I plan to stay here and take good care of my little sister."
Chu Xin, unexpectedly moved by this big brother she had just met, was overwhelmed with joy and couldn't speak.
She didn't know that after learning about his parents' death, Chu Ying had transferred all his love for his parents to her. She was now his entire world.
Huanzi downed a glass of beer and said, "It's good that you're staying. In the future, we'll work hard together to make sure Xin Xin succeeds. We'll make sure a golden phoenix flies out of this mountain village!"
Chu Ying seemed to think of something and frowned, "Huanzi, why would developers be interested in this poor and remote place?" The mountain roads in Bayiliwa were rugged, and the transportation was extremely inconvenient, making it unsuitable for residential or commercial development.
Huanzi pointed to the brightly lit mountain and said, "Remember that Big Green Mountain? There's a large natural hot spring on the mountain, and the scenery around it is beautiful because of the hot spring. The developers plan to build a resort there, and the nearby villages have already moved out."
Huanzi took a sip of beer to clear his throat and continued, "Our Bayiliwa is next to the road, and the developers plan to build a parking lot here. For some reason, they only got the town government's approval a few days ago. Everyone in the village has signed the contract, except me."
Chu Ying nodded slightly. He didn't oppose development as long as it was fair. This place was no longer suitable for living. Once they got the money, he would take Chu Xin and Huanzi to the city to settle down, which would be better for Chu Xin's education.
After a satisfying meal, Huanzi, who had to sell melons the next day, went to sleep first.
After washing the dishes, Chu Xin came to Chu Ying and smiled, "Brother, you must be tired from the trip. Go to sleep."
The house only had one room, and Chu Xin was no longer a child. The siblings couldn't share a room. Chu Ying affectionately patted Chu Xin's head and smiled, "I'll sleep in the room. What about you?"
Chu Xin held up her book and said, "I skipped school today, so I need to catch up on my lessons. I'm not sleepy yet."
"Alright, don't lie to your big brother. School is on break now, so there are no classes. Go to sleep, and I'll take you back to school tomorrow!" Chu Ying took the book from Chu Xin and pushed her into the room.
Huanzi indeed cared deeply for his sister. Despite his hard work, he let Chu Xin stay at school during breaks because it was quiet and conducive to studying. Besides, it wasn't safe for a young girl to stay in the village during the summer.
When the light in the room went out, Chu Ying smiled, "Little sister, don't worry. Your big brother won't let you suffer alone!"
