In one breath, Su Qiubai climbed up to the third floor, and following the password given by the white puppy, he rushed straight in.

"Left, kitchen!"

The puppy in his arms anxiously shouted.

Breathing heavily, Su Qiubai turned his head and saw a beautiful woman lying on the ground. She was wearing a red nightgown, with fair and long legs, and an angelic side face, which almost made his eyes pop out.

How could she be so beautiful!

"Don't peek, take her to the hospital quickly!"

The puppy, anxious, jumped out of Su Qiubai's arms and patted him with its paws.

Only then did Su Qiubai react, cursing himself for being so useless. He quickly ran over.

The girl's face was very pale, her eyes tightly closed, but fortunately, her breathing was normal.

Not daring to delay any longer, he picked her up by the waist and ran towards the door, still out of breath.

Just as he reached the door, a group of people who had been chasing him came up from below.

The fat security guard, seeing him, put his hands on his hips, panting.

"You... still... want to run!"

"Call an ambulance quickly!"

Seeing the security guard about to start babbling, Su Qiubai shouted, scaring the fat security guard so much that his legs almost gave out, nearly rolling down the stairs.

Probably seeing the unconscious girl in his arms, no one dared to stop him. They all used their walkie-talkies to call for an ambulance quickly.

The girl's body was very soft and much lighter than Su Qiubai had expected. He could see her long eyelashes by lowering his head, and looking down a bit more, he would get a small bonus. Most importantly, there was a faint fragrance in his nose.

At first, he was so immersed in her beauty that he felt energized, even hoping to hold her a bit longer.

But by the time he got down from the third floor, he was drenched in sweat, almost panting with his tongue out!

Actually, this couldn't be blamed on him being useless. Driving a taxi usually involves little exercise, and after all the running back and forth today, it was a miracle he hadn't collapsed.

Fortunately, the neighborhood had already arranged a car to wait at the entrance. Even so, the last few meters felt like a long march to Su Qiubai, almost making him lose sight of the end.

When he finally placed the girl on the stretcher, he plopped down on the ground.

But a strong inner conviction told him that now was not the time to collapse. The girl's family hadn't been contacted, and he had a responsibility and duty to take care of her at the hospital.

Leaving the taxi halfway, Su Qiubai followed the stretcher to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, Su Qiubai, who had just caught his breath, started running around, filling out forms, paying fees, and arranging for tests.

Fortunately, he had some savings, but after a few trips up and down, he had almost used it all up.

After all the tests were done and the necessary IVs were set up, Su Qiubai was just about to sit down on a chair to catch his breath when the girl's family arrived.

The first to arrive was a middle-aged woman in elaborate clothing, with makeup on her face, wearing high heels, and accompanied by several bodyguards, who rushed into the ward in a hurry.

Guessing that this might be the girl's family, but knowing that the doctor had instructed the patient to rest, Su Qiubai had to stop them.

"What are you doing? I'm Rongrong's aunt. Who are you? What do you do?"

The woman spoke quickly, staring at Su Qiubai, her voice full of condescension.

Su Qiubai awkwardly smiled, only now learning the girl's name was Rongrong.

Although the woman's attitude was not good, considering her urgency, he decided to explain again, "Aunt, the doctor just said..."

But he was interrupted halfway through.

"Who are you calling aunt! You look like a taxi driver, right? You brought our Rongrong to the hospital? Want some money, right? Tell me, how much?"

After saying this, the woman started to take out money.

This made Su Qiubai angry. As the saying goes, even a clay statue has three points of fire. Who do you think you're looking down on!

Just as he was about to argue with the woman, the girl, Rongrong, woke up inside.

"My Rongrong, you've made your aunt so worried..."

Through the window, the woman shouted, pushing the door open and rushing in, not even glancing at Su Qiubai.

Su Qiubai was left standing aside, wanting to go into the ward but feeling it might be inappropriate, in case they really thought he was there for the medical expenses.

As he hesitated at the door, more people arrived.

Good grief! In the blink of an eye, there were over a dozen people at the door, with fruit baskets lined up, all with messages wishing Xia Rongrong a speedy recovery.

Su Qiubai, who had been standing by the door, was pushed to the stairwell.

Seeing this, Su Qiubai felt a bit disheartened. The girl lived in a wealthy area, and when she fell ill, blessings poured in from all sides. From their attire, it was clear they were either rich or powerful.

He was just a taxi driver, and his uniform was recognizable to everyone.

Suddenly, he felt staying there was meaningless. After hesitating, he decided to leave. As for the medical expenses he had covered, given the situation, he doubted they wouldn't pay him back.

Leaving the hospital, looking at the passersby and vehicles on the street, Su Qiubai took a deep breath and felt reinvigorated, full of hope for the future!

Today you ignore me, tomorrow I'll be out of your reach!

...

In the crowded ward, Xia Rongrong, lying in bed, looked at the smiling faces and suddenly felt a bit disheartened and bored.

If she weren't the current leader of the Xia Group, would these people still come to visit her? Who truly cared about her health?

In the end, it's all about interests...

Sighing lightly, Xia Rongrong looked at her aunt.

"Aunt, I'm a bit tired. Please have everyone leave."

Saying this softly, Xia Rongrong closed her eyes.

The ward immediately fell silent. These people were considerate, and within a few minutes, except for the fruit baskets on the floor, almost everyone had left.

Closing the door, the room was left with Xia Rongrong and her aunt, Xia Haiqing.

"Hmph, only Li Zhonghai didn't send anyone! I've always said that guy has a second heart for our Xia family. Now that you're sick, it's all clear!"

Xia Haiqing, sitting next to Xia Rongrong, suddenly said coldly.

Xia Rongrong, feeling more sorrow, rubbed her temples. Even her closest aunt was thinking about these useless things while she was hospitalized.

"Rongrong, quickly get engaged to Li Muhao! Once you're engaged and have the Li family's support, we can get rid of all those who oppose us in the group. Then the Xia Group will be even stronger."

Before she could finish, Xia Haiqing immediately followed up, her eyes full of expectation.

"Aunt, I don't want to talk about these things now. Let's discuss the group's matters after I'm discharged. And I'll say it again, the Xia Group should thrive on its own strength, not through Li Muhao. I will never marry someone I don't like for these reasons!"

Finally feeling she couldn't bear it anymore, Xia Rongrong looked at Xia Haiqing, her tone very firm.

"But..."

"No more talk. We'll handle everything after I'm discharged!"

Xia Haiqing wanted to say more but was cut off by Xia Rongrong.

The room fell silent.

"By the way, was it you who brought me to the hospital? I clearly fainted at home." Suddenly remembering this, Xia Rongrong looked up and asked.

Xia Haiqing, taken aback, suddenly remembered the taxi driver she had met at the door and replied, "I called you, but no one answered, so I had the neighborhood security guard check. They brought you here."

"Oh... please thank them for me."

Xia Rongrong nodded and didn't ask any more.

Just then, the doctor walked in.

"Where are Xia Rongrong's family? Didn't I say no one should disturb the patient? Why are there still fruit baskets coming in!"

Seeing the fruit baskets on the floor, the doctor's face turned stern.

"Sorry, doctor. I'm Xia Rongrong's family. Please tell me what's going on."

Xia Haiqing quickly stood up and walked towards the doctor.

The doctor, giving Xia Haiqing a strange look, didn't say more and led her to the office.

"What? How could this be? She was always fine before!"

In the doctor's office, after hearing the test results, Xia Haiqing stood up from her chair.

"Being fine before doesn't mean she's fine now. Her current condition is due to overwork! Sudden fainting isn't as simple as you think. Her condition is very serious; she's too weak." The doctor, holding the test report, sighed.

"Doctor, no matter what, you must save Rongrong. She's the hope of the Xia Group! Whatever it costs, just save Rongrong!" Xia Haiqing was truly worried. If Xia Rongrong collapsed, it would be a huge disaster.

"Can money solve everything? It's not about money now. Her body is severely weakened due to lack of rest. Let me put it this way... the best thing now would be to have a wild ginseng root, the older the better!"

After thinking for a moment, the doctor looked at Xia Haiqing.

"Wild ginseng? How much? I'll buy it!" Hearing there was hope, Xia Haiqing quickly said.

But the doctor shook his head and sighed, "Buy? Wild ginseng that's been around for years isn't something money can buy. It's rare and hard to find..."

With these words, Xia Haiqing's face turned pale.

Su Qiubai, of course, knew nothing about what was happening at the hospital. He only knew that his navigation system was about to go wild.

Wu Song had sent an invitation, asking him to come to his home as a guest. His brother Wu Dalang and sister-in-law Pan Jinlian had already prepared a feast.
