Mu Yan never expected that entering the company would land him in such an environment. According to his understanding of Zhang Shuo, he wouldn't have placed him in such a place.

"Xiao Ling, you're the closest in age to Mu Yan. Explain the department's affairs to him and show him around the department!"

After a brief introduction, Zhong Jiaqiang handed the task of showing Mu Yan around to Tong Ling, then sat back at his desk and started working on his computer.

The others didn't seem to care much either. The glasses-wearing colleague continued reading novels on his phone, Cheng Juanjuan played games, and Old Fan and Old Su continued chatting.

Tong Ling seemed to have anticipated this situation, so she stood up and said to Mu Yan, "Mu Yan, let me show you around the place. Otherwise, walking around here could be dangerous, as some areas are dark and you might trip!"

Following Tong Ling through the paper walls and shelves, she occasionally reminded Mu Yan to be careful of things like water pipes on the floor and ventilation pipes overhead.

The work was simple: when the people upstairs needed office supplies, he would gather them and deliver them. Additionally, Old Su and Old Fan were electricians, so they usually handled tasks like replacing light bulbs and fixing air conditioners.

Office supplies were generally ordered by noon on the first day and delivered the next morning. If there was an urgent need, they would call Zhong Jiaqiang.

It was now afternoon, and Tong Ling had two sheets of printed paper in her notebook, which were the orders from various departments. She had been pushing a small cart to gather the items.

Seeing this, Mu Yan realized that in the entire department, only Tong Ling was actually doing the work. Fortunately, the tasks weren't too heavy, and the company's delivery people helped with the heavy lifting, so it wasn't too tiring.

It was even more interesting that such a simple task, which a diligent girl could handle, required him to be here.

Since he knew Zhang Shuo would find him, Mu Yan had already sent a text to his mother, so she wouldn't worry about waiting for him to eat.

The restaurant wasn't large, but the interior was nice. Zhang Shuo seemed to be a regular, so the receptionist was familiar with him.

Since Zhang Shuo was driving, they didn't order alcohol, just a pitcher of juice.
