Yao Leilei was very不服气, why should a gang member who had been in jail be so arrogant? Thinking of his smug face, Yao Leilei wished she could peel his skin off.

After being severely criticized by the chief, Yao Leilei really cried, but the more she cried, the more she felt wronged. She was unwilling to be bullied by that scoundrel, especially when he showed his smug face knowing he could leave. If it weren't for Zhang Huangyan, she would have beaten all his teeth out.

Unwilling! Truly unwilling! When have I, Yao Leilei, ever suffered such humiliation?

No way! I absolutely can't swallow this!

The more she thought about it, the more unwilling she felt. After wiping away her tears, Yao Leilei made a decision. She would go and keep an eye on Mu Yan directly. She didn't believe that a bastard who had been out of jail for so long and did nothing had really reformed. As long as she found any illegal activities, she would put him in jail, regardless of who his backer was.

Determined, Yao Leilei clenched her fists tightly and prepared to give Mu Yan, the 'criminal' who had repeatedly failed to reform, a severe blow.

Although it was already morning and she had finished her shift, and she hadn't slept all night, she was determined. After memorizing some information about Mu Yan, she changed out of her police uniform into a light white floral shirt, light blue jeans, and a beige cap. She then put on a pair of sunglasses to ensure no one would recognize her.

She looked at herself in the mirror in the changing room, satisfied with her appearance, and immediately went out to hail a taxi to Mu Yan's residence.

Yao Leilei didn't plan to find Mu Yan immediately. Today, she mainly wanted to scout the area and gather more information about Mu Yan to find a way to take action against him.

Mu Yan's home was in the Yuanlin Residential Area, which was originally the teacher's apartment of the Seventh Middle School in Donghai City. It had a history of over twenty years. In such a rapidly developing city as Donghai, it was considered an old residential area. The residents were mostly teachers and staff of the Seventh Middle School, but because the area was old, most of the houses had been sold, and the remaining residents were mostly retired teachers.

Mu Yan's mother, Mu Fangfang, was a teacher at the Seventh Middle School. Although the teachers' income was decent, she had little savings because she had been a single mother raising Mu Yan. Therefore, she could only continue living there. However, the area was renovated a couple of years ago due to a large international exhibition in Donghai City, so it looked quite decent.

Yao Leilei quickly found out about Mu Yan's family situation. Thinking of a mother who had an out-of-wedlock child and raised him alone for so many years, but the child turned out to be a troublemaker, even committing murder and going to jail, she felt some sympathy for Mu Fangfang.

There was a breakfast stall at the entrance of the Yuanlin Residential Area, which had been there for many years. After getting out of the car and feeling hungry, Yao Leilei, who hadn't eaten all night, went to buy some food to fill her stomach and to gather some information.

The breakfast stall was run by a woman in her forties. She was giving two students some tea eggs and a few packs of milk and collecting their money when she saw a strange girl approach and asked, "What would you like?"

"Give me a pack of yogurt, two tea eggs, and a piece of bread!" Yao Leilei immediately said what she wanted.

As the auntie was preparing the food, Yao Leilei looked around and, seeing no one else, asked, "Auntie, have you been selling breakfast here for a long time?"

"Oh! Yes, I've been here since the放心 breakfast program started, which has been over ten years!" the auntie replied instinctively.

"By the way, I heard that although this place used to be a teacher's apartment, it has become worse now because most of the houses have been sold, and there's even a released murderer living here. Is that true?" Yao Leilei asked.

The auntie handed the food to Yao Leilei and asked curiously, "Why are you asking this?"

"Oh! I'm looking to rent a place around here. I saw a house here with a reasonable price, but then I heard some rumors, so I came to inquire," Yao Leilei said, putting on a somewhat helpless expression.

The auntie, a warm-hearted person, sighed and said, "I know about this. There is indeed a released murderer living here, but..."

Before the auntie could finish, a taxi stopped in front of the breakfast stall, and a man, still somewhat damp, immediately ran out of the car.

Yao Leilei was listening carefully to the auntie and hadn't paid much attention, but when the auntie suddenly stopped, she quickly realized that the man who had just jumped out of the car was that despicable bastard, Mu Yan. Why was he coming straight toward her?

Could he have recognized her? Yao Leilei thought subconsciously, but she felt she had disguised herself well and wasn't familiar with him, so he shouldn't recognize her!

Right, he had also been up all night and had come to buy breakfast.

Thinking of this, Yao Leilei immediately turned to walk toward the residential area to avoid being recognized, but just as she turned, she felt her hand being tightly grabbed. Before she could react, she found herself being hugged and her lips being sealed.

She was actually kissed, and it was a forced kiss that she hadn't expected. The sensation of the lips rubbing together felt like a strong electric current paralyzing her body, making her stiffen instantly.

Yao Leilei was stunned for a moment before she realized that the person who had kissed her was Mu Yan, and she almost went mad.

"Successfully stolen the maiden's first kiss, gained 20 evil points. Owner, your evil points are now non-negative. Please earn evil points within 24 hours, or you will be sentenced to death!"

The voice of the guide echoed in his mind. Mu Yan felt like he had a new lease on life. Just half a minute ago, after paying the taxi fare, the guide told him that repairing his damaged leg had cost 120 evil points, causing his evil points to go negative. If he didn't restore them to a positive number within 100 seconds, he would be immediately eliminated.

Faced with imminent death, even Mu Yan couldn't remain calm. To survive, he finally took the first step on the path of evil.

Knowing he was safe, Mu Yan released the girl he was hugging. Knowing he had stolen her first kiss, Mu Yan wanted to apologize, but just as he relaxed, the girl in his arms elbowed him in the face.

Facing this sudden attack, Mu Yan instinctively dodged to the side, hooked her leg with his foot, and pulled her down to the ground with his left hand.
