The most despicable are those who secretly sabotage others from behind; such people always hide in the shadows, staring at their targets like venomous snakes, ready to strike when no one is paying attention.
Ye Qing was extremely angry. His product was sold online, and he neither engaged in price wars nor belittled his competitors to elevate himself. He relied solely on the superior quality of his product to achieve today's impressive sales figures.
Anyone would be furious if they were unjustly smeared like this.
Since he couldn't find the person, it was fine, but now that he had found them, Ye Qing was determined to confront them head-on.
Lagonda darted like a nimble fish, overtaking one car after another, heading straight for the highway connecting Zhongyun and Shanghai.
A large, intricately designed metal sculpture slowly came into view before Ye Qing. This was the landmark of Zhongyun, the "Wind Tower," the grand and imposing structure that visitors would see first upon arriving in Zhongyun.
The metal sculpture resembled a twisted pretzel or a slimmed-down cloud, and no matter how one looked at it, it was hard to associate it with the wind.
It stood over fifty meters tall, with a matte white finish to prevent the strong sunlight from blinding drivers.
As Ye Qing passed the "Wind Tower," several cherry pickers were surrounding it, cleaning the structure.
Ye Qing had no time to watch. After passing the toll booth, he sped toward Shanghai at 140 km/h.
His final destination was set on the GPS. Ye Qing drove with a stern face, and after two hours of winding through the streets, he arrived near Huating Lane, found a quiet spot to park, and summoned two burly laborers to the back seat of the Lagonda.
This time, Ye Qing didn't plan to rely solely on verbal warnings. If this guy dared to get aggressive, the two 300-pound laborers would show him what real fear was.
The delivery address was vague, only specifying Huating Lane No. 32. Ye Qing parked the car and spent a long time wandering around the old residential area but couldn't find the house number.
This area was on the outskirts of the city, and there were hardly any people around before the end of the workday.
Finally, Ye Qing politely asked an old man who was sunbathing at his doorstep if he knew where No. 32 was.
Ye Qing couldn't understand the local dialect the old man spoke. Although he had the guy's phone number, Ye Qing's number was from out of town, and he didn't know the local language, making it almost impossible to trick him into coming out.
Of course, there was still a way. Ye Qing first went to a snack shop across the street and ordered a fried rice to-go. Then he walked to a convenience store at the entrance of the lane, which also served as a Shentong Express drop-off point.
Ye Qing took off his watch and walked into the convenience store, pretending to be anxious. "Sir, do you know where No. 32 is in the lane behind us?"
"I'm a food delivery person, and a customer at No. 32 ordered a fried rice. I've been looking for it for a while, but I can't find it, and he's not answering his phone."
The store owner was a chubby middle-aged man watching a Korean drama on his laptop. Hearing Ye Qing's question, he glanced at the takeout box in Ye Qing's hand and said, "In the alley, the left side is odd numbers, and the right side is even numbers. Just count from the first door."
Ye Qing smiled and thanked the man.
Five minutes later, Ye Qing arrived at the door of an old house with a small yard. Five minutes after that, two men in dark blue work uniforms swaggered into the alley.
Ye Qing knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" A somewhat impatient voice came from inside.
"Hello, I'm a service technician for LG fully automatic washing machines. I'd like to take a few minutes of your time to conduct a post-sale survey. We will offer you an additional two years of warranty."
Ye Qing had seen the guy's previous topic on Weibo, which was about disassembling an LG fully automatic washing machine. Whether he bought it online or from a physical store, it could serve as a pretext.
Unexpectedly, Ye Qing thought it would take a lot of effort to trick the person into opening the door. After all, this guy was cunning and even used a fake name to buy the product.
But to his surprise, the person opened the door without asking any questions.
The mystery was quickly revealed. The person who opened the door was a man in a black tight T-shirt, with a muscular build and large tattoos on his arms, looking quite menacing.
In the small yard, there were two punching bags, and two similarly dressed men were practicing boxing with professional techniques.
No wonder he opened the door so confidently without asking.
Three pairs of hostile eyes scanned Ye Qing, making him pause.
These three didn't look like high-level mechanical engineers; they were likely the low-level bodyguards hired by Lu Tianjun.
The man was also taken aback because Ye Qing was holding a takeout box but claimed to be a washing machine service technician.
Ye Qing glanced into the yard and immediately changed his expression when he saw the familiar packaging boxes in the corner.
"Get lost, you trash." Ye Qing said sternly.
"What did you say?" The man's eyes widened, thinking he had misheard.
"Trash, get lost!"
The tattooed man flew into a rage and threw a right hook at Ye Qing's face.
His punch didn't hit the target but was caught by a large, sandpot-sized hand that emerged from the side of the door.
The strength of this hand was like that of a Transformer. When the burly laborer stepped out, the tattooed man's eyes nearly popped out.
The laborer grinned and increased the pressure on his hand.
The tattooed man's face contorted in pain, and his gasps of pain were as rapid as a fan.
Before he could beg for mercy, the laborer gave him a light punch.
The man flew backward, landing on the ground and writhing like a wounded goose.
The other two men, who were practicing boxing, were still in shock when the laborer instantly entered the yard and kicked them into submission.
When Ye Qing entered the yard, the laborer had already subdued the three men, leaving them lying on the ground, unable to even beg for mercy.
The door to the house was closed, and Ye Qing continued to knock.
There was no response, and a man in his thirties, with a scruffy appearance and a somewhat cunning look, opened the door.
Clearly, he hadn't heard the commotion in the yard or was confident that the three men would handle it, so he didn't pay attention.
The two iron towers stood behind Ye Qing, and Ye Qing looked at him with a serious expression. "Are you Lu Tianjun?"
The sight of the three men lying in the yard and the two iron towers behind Ye Qing made Lu Tianjun scream in terror and try to close the door.
It was too late. Ye Qing grabbed his hair and, with his left hand, slammed the takeout box into Lu Tianjun's forehead.
"I'm delivering you a box of rice."
Fried rice splattered everywhere, and Lu Tianjun's face was a mix of shock and fear.
Before he could even scream in pain, Ye Qing kicked him, silencing him.
Ye Qing didn't need the laborers' help; he could handle this despicable person who stabbed him in the back on his own.
