Inside the Treasure Hall.

Su Wen looked at the invitation in front of him and ultimately decided to attend the banquet that evening. Although he did not want to have anything to do with Yang Feixue and especially despised Sun Yue, this was still a gathering of the upper class. Now that he was in charge of the Treasure Hall, he had to meet these people for the future development of the Treasure Hall.

He glanced at the address on the invitation.

Menglong Manor.

This was a leisure spot outside Jiangning, rarely open to the public. Most people did not have the qualifications to enter. However, every certain period, a row of luxury cars would be parked at the entrance of Menglong Manor, which left passersby amazed.

This manor was not simple.

As for why Menglong Manor was called Menglong Manor, it was because it was located on Yunling Mountain outside Jiangning.

Yunling Mountain was one of the scenic spots in Jiangning, with beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons. However, the most beautiful thing about Yunling Mountain was not the mountain itself, but the mist. No matter when, Yunling Mountain was always shrouded in mist, like a fairyland.

It was very beautiful.

Basically, the area above the halfway point of the mountain was always misty, and Menglong Manor was located at the halfway point of Yunling Mountain.

Su Wen set off at 5 PM.

He took a taxi, but the driver was unwilling to go to Yunling Mountain, mainly because it was hard to find passengers on the way back. However, when Su Wen took out a stack of red bills, the driver said nothing and agreed to let Su Wen hire the car for the day.

"Little brother, what are you going to Menglong Manor for? It's not a place for ordinary people to go," the driver said, being quite talkative. He thought Su Wen did not look like a rich person. After all, which rich person would take a taxi? If Su Wen was not rich, his going to Menglong Manor seemed very suspicious.

"I'm going to a banquet," Su Wen said without hiding it.

The driver chuckled, clearly skeptical.

Soon, they arrived at Menglong Manor.

Su Wen looked out the window and indeed saw a manor.

After all, this was a mountain, and there was only one road. Building a manor here must have cost a fortune.

"Little brother, I'll wait for you here," the driver pointed to the parking lot designated for Menglong Manor. Looking at the parking lot, there were already more than twenty luxury cars parked there. Su Wen might not have felt anything, but the driver was envious. He knew that each of those luxury cars was worth at least a million.

Su Wen got out of the car and walked straight toward Menglong Manor.

Although he was less than a hundred meters away from Menglong Manor, the thin mist made it hard to see clearly. He could only vaguely see four characters carved on a huge stone, which was the name of Menglong Manor. He could not see anything else.

As he walked closer, he saw four attendants.

When the four attendants saw Su Wen, the two in front walked up to him.

"Sir, may I ask what brings you to Menglong Manor?" one attendant asked, noticing that Su Wen was dressed very simply.

"I'm here for the banquet," Su Wen said, handing over the invitation.

The two attendants looked at each other, surprised. There was only one banquet being held today, and that was the banquet hosted by Shengshi Auction House. However, the banquet was of such high caliber that the attendees were all of noble status. They could not associate Su Wen with nobility.

"Is there a problem?" Su Wen frowned, not used to being scrutinized.

"No, no problem!" one attendant stammered. He did not know why Su Wen was dressed so simply, but with the invitation, there was no mistake. The invitation was not something that could be forged.

Su Wen did not say anything, took back the invitation, and was about to enter.

The two attendants led the way for Su Wen. Suddenly, a roar of an engine was heard.

A flashy sports car stopped behind Su Wen.

Su Wen turned around and saw Sun Yue and a young man get out of the car. The young man had red hair and was dressed in a flashy, carefree manner, as if he wanted everyone to know he was a fool, which made him look very annoying.

When Sun Yue saw Su Wen, a look of malice flashed in his eyes.

"Sun Yue, what's wrong?" the young man asked.

"Li Shao, this is the enemy I told you about. I have never been so humiliated. He deserves to die!" Sun Yue said, his fists clenched tightly.

The young man, Li Shao, was named Li Dong.

When Sun Yue arrived in Jiangning, he quickly connected with Li Dong through family relations.

Everyone knew that Li Dong was not scary, but his father was.

Li Dong's father was known as Li San Ye, whose real name was Li San Xie.

Li San Xie used to be involved in the underworld, but after the government's political reforms, those underground forces either went legitimate or disappeared. At least in Jiangning, no one had heard of any gangs. However, many people understood that the underground forces had just changed their form of existence.

Li San Xie was one of them.

The gang he founded long ago had disappeared, but that did not mean he had nothing. In less than a year, he dispersed all the gang members throughout Jiangning and established many entertainment venues. It could be said that half of the KTVs and bars in Jiangning were owned by Li San Xie. Moreover, three out of five casinos were also his. Now, Li San Xie had transformed into a successful businessman.

Li Dong was Li San Xie's only son and the apple of his eye.

Due to Li San Xie's indulgence, Li Dong had developed a fearless personality. The invitation from Shengshi Auction House was for Li San Xie, but since he could not attend, he sent Li Dong in his place.

Li Dong and Sun Yue had only known each other for a few days, but they had already become close.

Now that Sun Yue had encountered his enemy, Li Dong casually said, "Do you want me to help you?"

"How can you help?" Sun Yue knew exactly why he had befriended Li Dong, hoping Li Dong would take action. He did not expect to run into Su Wen today.

"It's simple, find a few people to beat him up," Li Dong said nonchalantly.

"From what I know, Su Wen is very strong. A few people might not be able to subdue him," Sun Yue frowned. He genuinely wanted to kill Su Wen, not just beat him up. The fierce look in Su Wen's eyes that day still lingered in his mind.

"Then let's try something else. We can run him over with a car and cripple him," Li Dong said, lacking interest. After all, he had no personal grudge against Su Wen.

"Run him over with a car?" A glint of light flashed in Sun Yue's eyes. He had a good idea, but Su Wen, who was far away, did not know that Sun Yue was planning to take action against him. Even if he knew, he would probably just laugh it off.

Inside Menglong Manor, a woman walked out.

"Su Wen, why don't you go in?" Yang Feixue hurried over.

"Just arrived," Su Wen said with an awkward smile.

"You came by taxi?" Yang Feixue noticed something, mainly because the taxi was very noticeable. "Alright, you're strong! Let's not talk about this. Let's go in first, I'll introduce you to a few people. They are very interested in the items you are consigning."

"This banquet seems to be for publicity," Su Wen muttered, understanding a bit more.

When Sun Yue saw Su Wen and Yang Feixue about to enter, he quickly shouted, "Feixue, why did you come out yourself? Let me introduce you to Li Shao, the son of Li San Ye!"

Li Dong, seeing Yang Feixue, drooled and said, "Miss Yang, I'm Li Dong. I'm so happy to meet you. You are so beautiful, my type. I wonder if we can dance together later."

Yang Feixue's face turned cold. "Li Shao, you're joking. I have something to do, I'll go in first."

Li Dong watched Yang Feixue leave and licked his lips. "She has character, I like it. Sun Yue, if I get Miss Yang into bed, wouldn't that be great? Hehe!"

A look of malice flashed in Sun Yue's eyes, but he forced a smile.

Su Wen followed Yang Feixue, feeling speechless.

Although he had not seen the entire situation of the banquet, he had a good idea of what kind of event it was.

In short, it was a group of people being insincere, starting with fake pleasantries, followed by a few fools lowering everyone's intelligence, and ending in a self-proclaimed harmonious atmosphere.

To put it simply: no good banquet, no good people.

Su Wen sighed inwardly. Is this what the so-called upper class life is like? Truly laughable!
