Wansheng returned to the small hotel in Manchester once again.

His mood was very complicated.

This place was very meaningful to him. Since he had traveled through time, he had been living here, and it was also the place his brother had left behind. Although it didn't belong to him at all, he felt a sense of familiarity.

Now he was about to leave.

It was a real departure. After all, this was just a small hotel, not a place that belonged to him. He had to move all his luggage to Derbyshire, where he would find a new 'home'.

Perhaps it was a new beginning?

Definitely! Wansheng thought very firmly.

Since he had traveled through time, everything had been going poorly for him. His brother's life had been much more successful. From the moment McGeeney dismissed him, he began to experience various failures.

Life is full of failures, which must be endured, but Wansheng hated failure.

He had experienced too much of it.

From his previous life to the present, he couldn't think of anything he had done successfully. Not at all. Even after taking over his brother's body, he hadn't used McGeeney's weaknesses to stabilize his job at Manchester United. Despite having a perfect resume, he was repeatedly rejected, mocked, and looked down upon.

He had always been a failure.

He never said it out loud, but he kept it in his heart.

Now he had one success, which was that the chairman of Derbyshire, G. Smith, had given him a job opportunity. This was the only success he could think of, and he was determined to change his life from here.

He wanted to succeed!

Wansheng clenched his fist tightly.

He was not only determined to succeed but also had the means to do so.

Wansheng's day had not been going well. In the morning, he met the first-team head coach, Gregory, who was his direct superior and didn't like him. In the afternoon, Gregory assigned him an almost impossible task, and he had been lamenting the difficulties of being a subordinate.

Now he had no more laments.

Perhaps to others, Taylor's problem seemed completely unsolvable, but it was different for him because he had something that others didn't have—something that was a blessing from heaven: the Football Training Master System.

When he heard about Ian Taylor's condition, his first reaction was "This is completely impossible." But after checking the Football Training Master System, Wansheng realized that it was actually very easy for him.

The Football Training Master System was specifically designed to create training plans.

As Ian Taylor trusted Wansheng and asked him to help create a training recovery plan, Taylor became Wansheng's player. As a result, the system interface changed, and several new messages appeared in the system messages at the bottom left, which were very noticeable.

"You have gained Ian Taylor's trust. Ian Taylor has become your player."

"You have a player. The Player Status System is now open!"

"You have a player. The Task System is now open!"

"You have a player. The Union System is now open!"

"Congratulations on achieving the milestone 'First Player Acquired.' You have earned 10 experience points. Your journey as a Training Master has a beautiful beginning!"

These were the system messages that refreshed when Taylor became his player. Wansheng was not surprised by these messages; he had been mentally prepared.

What surprised him was the 'Task System.'

When he opened the Task System interface, he saw a list on the left labeled 'Your Players.' The list was long, but it only contained one name: Taylor. On the right, there were two sections: 'Your Tasks' and 'Tasks Assigned to Your Players.'

Both sections were blank.

At first, Wansheng was a bit confused, but when he clicked on Taylor's name on the left, the Task System interface immediately changed. It displayed various attributes of Taylor's body, such as 'Offensive Ability,' 'Defensive Ability,' 'Stamina,' 'Endurance,' 'Tackling Ability,' 'Speed,' 'Dribbling Speed,' and many others. Each attribute was marked in red with 'Cannot Accept Tasks.'

The only attribute that showed 'Can Accept Tasks' was 'Physical Condition'—

"Physical Condition: 41/71 (Extremely Poor) (Can Accept Tasks)."

The 'Can Accept Tasks' option was highlighted, and Wansheng knew that this meant there was content to view. He clicked on it and saw a small window on the right, displaying the details of the task.

"Accelerate Recovery:

Ian Taylor is injured, and his physical condition is extremely poor. It will take a long time for him to recover and return to normal. The Football Training Master System provides a task to speed up his recovery.

You can help Ian Taylor perform some special training.

Task Content (Repeatable):

Eat two eggs, one chicken leg, a steak, drink two glasses of milk, and a can of beer; walk one kilometer, perform 100 leg stretches, do 20 deep breaths, and rest with eyes closed for 10 minutes without sleeping.

Task Reward: Physical Condition +1.

Note: Each time Ian Taylor completes 'Accelerate Recovery,' your experience will increase by 0.5."

After seeing this task, Wansheng really wanted to comment.

"Eat two eggs, one chicken leg, a steak, drink two glasses of milk, and a can of beer." What kind of training is this? How does it relate to recovering from Taylor's leg injury?

If he had to force an explanation, he could say that more nutrition would benefit Taylor's body... but everyone eats every day, and the food combination in the task isn't necessarily the best for the human body.

As for the actual training content, Wansheng couldn't really say there was a problem with it.

With a leg injury, 'walk one kilometer.' On the positive side, exercise can improve blood circulation, which might help the leg injury. On the negative side, who would walk a kilometer with a leg injury? Isn't that just making the injury worse?

Wansheng thought randomly but was very satisfied with the system's reward.

Each time the task is completed, the physical condition will recover by 1 point, and the task can be repeated. He could have Ian Taylor do it once a day, and recovering 1 point per day wasn't bad.

Taylor's current physical condition is 41, and the maximum is 71. This means that in just one month, he could recover to 71, which should mean he is fully recovered, right?

...

After staying in Manchester for one night, Wansheng mailed all his belongings to Derbyshire and returned to Derbyshire the next day.

At noon, Wansheng arrived in Derbyshire.

After a quick lunch, at 1 PM, he was already at the club. At this time, the first-team players were also on the training ground, preparing for the afternoon training session.

Gregory was also on the training ground.

He was discussing the arrangements for the next day's match with the players. Seeing Wansheng walk over, Gregory handed the work to the assistant coach, Diamaris.

"Wansheng, I heard you told Ian that you could help him with training?" Gregory asked with a smile.

Wansheng nodded, "Yes, I believe I can do it."

Gregory didn't expect Wansheng to say this. He thought Wansheng was just deceiving Taylor... just like he would. But looking at Wansheng's expression, it didn't seem like he was lying, as if he really could do it.

It must be a lie!

This Chinese guy is really putting on a show!

Gregory took a deep breath. Since this Chinese guy said he could do it, he had no reason to fire him. He could only emphasize, "Ian only joined the team in the summer, but he is very respected and is an important member of the team. I hope you can really help him recover soon. It's important for the club, the team's performance, and Ian."

"This is the first task I'm giving you. You must do it well!"

In other words, if Wansheng didn't do a good job, he shouldn't blame Gregory for being ruthless.

Wansheng shrugged.

He knew Gregory didn't trust him. After all, the task he had given him yesterday was quite unbelievable. Now, saying he could do it so calmly, Gregory probably thought he was a fraud?

"Gregory, don't worry, I will do it well," he said firmly, shaking his head.

Actions speak louder than words.

Ian Taylor's quick recovery would be more convincing than any words.
