Chapter 85

Lin Yi's "turning stones into gold" magic truly stunned the First Emperor of Qin and his ministers.

Hearing is believing, but seeing is the truth!

They now truly believed that Lin Yi was a true immortal, and one who had whimsically "released his spirit, wandered the void, and descended to the mortal world"!

Just this one magic of turning stones into gold could make Lin Yi the richest man in the world, enjoying all the glory and wealth.

Moreover, how could the magic an immortal knows be limited to just this?

The First Emperor of Qin, somewhat excited, said, "I summoned the Immortal Master to ask you to refine the elixir of immortality for me. I am willing to treat you as the Imperial Preceptor, from now on, you will be second only to me and above all others. What do you think?"

Matters concerning "immortality" made even the First Emperor of Qin, who had unified the world, somewhat unable to remain calm, fearing that Lin Yi would refuse!

In the past, pursuing immortality was just a spiritual寄托, and he had no real confidence.

After all, throughout history, who had ever achieved immortality?

But now, with a living immortal standing before him, the hope of immortality became real. How could the First Emperor of Qin not be excited?

Lin Yi nodded and softly said one word: "Agreed."

To directly become the Imperial Preceptor, the First Emperor of Qin was indeed a remarkable person, well-versed in the art of winning hearts.

The First Emperor of Qin asked again, "What conditions does the Immortal Master need to refine the elixir of immortality? Just speak up. As long as it exists in the world, I will grant it!"

As he spoke, he looked at Lin Yi with full anticipation, also with a hint of testing. Could the elixir of immortality really be refined?

Lin Yi said calmly, "This immortal has two conditions."

"Please speak, Immortal Master!" The First Emperor of Qin was somewhat delighted, not afraid of your conditions, but afraid of you having no conditions!

Lin Yi smiled faintly and said, "First, please allow this immortal to establish the截Teaching and spread believers widely."

"截Teaching?"

The First Emperor of Qin was slightly taken aback, not expecting this Immortal Master to want to create a sect. After some thought, he said, "I will grant you a mansion as your temple. From now on, the截Teaching will be the state religion of the Qin Dynasty!"

The ministers were in an uproar, not expecting the emperor to be so tolerant and generous!

Lin Yi was also taken aback. It seemed that the First Emperor of Qin would do anything for immortality. He smiled faintly and said, "Your Majesty must know that immortality is defying the heavens. This immortal's creation of the截Teaching is to snatch a thread of life for all beings!

Only when the截Teaching's fortune grows, can we snatch this thread of life, defy the heavens, and refine the elixir of immortality!"

"Good! Good! Good!"

The First Emperor of Qin's eyes shone brightly, calling out three "goods" in a row. He didn't expect the Immortal Master to create the截Teaching with such profound meaning, for the sake of refining the elixir of immortality!

Creating the截Teaching to snatch a thread of life for all beings, this was defying the heavens!

The First Emperor of Qin said solemnly, "Imperial Preceptor, rest assured. I will ensure that the截Teaching spreads widely and its fortune grows!"

He paused and then asked, "What is the second condition of the Imperial Preceptor?"

Lin Yi smiled slightly and said, "Since this immortal has created the截Teaching to snatch a thread of life for all beings, in the near future, the heavens will sense it, and a celestial star will descend!

The celestial star is an essential main ingredient for refining the elixir of immortality.

This celestial star is what this immortal has forcibly 'sought' from the heavens by creating the截Teaching, and it will descend in the Eastern Commandery.

Please order the evacuation of the people in the Eastern Commandery and wait quietly for the celestial star to descend!"

Lin Yi was once again bluffing. He knew that in the mythological plot, a celestial star would descend in the Eastern Commandery. The immortality in the myth was refined using the celestial star as the main ingredient.

He asked the First Emperor of Qin to evacuate the people of the Eastern Commandery to benefit the common people.

After all, when the celestial star descended, many people suffered, and the First Emperor of Qin ordered the massacre of the local people to keep the secret.

Although the First Emperor of Qin had unified the world and was extremely domineering, he was also a tyrant.

But this tyrant was now completely swayed by Lin Yi.

The First Emperor of Qin and his ministers were amazed and discussed it heatedly. An immortal was indeed an immortal, able to forcibly 'seek' treasures from the heavens!

Whether it was true or not would be known when the celestial star descended!

If the celestial star really descended, this was a true immortal!

Immortality was within reach!

Who in the world did not want immortality? Not just the First Emperor of Qin, but everyone!

All the ministers could not help but be eager, for it was immortality!

The First Emperor of Qin immediately approved, ordering the evacuation of the people in the Eastern Commandery and dispatching troops to guard the area, waiting quietly for the celestial star to descend.

Thus, Lin Yi became the Imperial Preceptor of the Qin Dynasty, truly second only to the emperor and above all others.

Even the First Emperor of Qin and Lin Yi were on equal footing. There was no choice, for this was an "immortal," and he was counting on the "immortal" to help him refine the elixir of immortality!

Now, Lin Yi could walk around the Qin Dynasty with no one daring to provoke him.

But what Lin Yi wanted was not just this. Relying on the First Emperor of Qin to rise was just the first step.

Not long after, a celestial star indeed descended in the Eastern Commandery.

The First Emperor of Qin and his ministers were greatly moved, truly believing it!

This was not just a prophecy!

It was the main ingredient for the elixir of immortality that the Imperial Preceptor had forcibly 'sought' from the heavens by creating the截Teaching!

For a time, all the ministers and the nobles of the Qin Dynasty, as long as they had information networks and heard this news, joined the截Teaching, openly or secretly!

The Chancellor Li Si was even one of the two protectors of the截Teaching, the left protector, and the most loyal supporter of the截Teaching!

Of course, he joined secretly, as did the other ministers. If they all openly joined the截Teaching, the First Emperor of Qin might cry, and to protect his power, he might take action against Lin Yi!

Who in the world did not want immortality? The ministers were no exception!

Lin Yi had already promised Chancellor Li Si that he would have a share in the immortality, and Li Si immediately became the most loyal lackey.

What Lin Yi did not expect was that his截Teaching not only attracted the ministers but also many unexpected people.

The most notable among them was the Overlord Xiang Yu!

Xiang Yu was a descendant of the Chu state, one of the six states conquered by Qin.

Although the six states had been destroyed, many of their descendants still lived, and although their identities varied, they all had significant potential power.

After the descendants of the six states learned of the截Teaching and the elixir of immortality through their networks, they were greatly moved and came to Xianyang to join the截Teaching.

The截Teaching widely accepted believers, without refusal.

When Lin Yi met Xiang Yu, he was also somewhat excited and directly appointed Xiang Yu as the right protector of the截Teaching, often brainwashing him.

He was also very curious whether Xiang Yu wanted the world or immortality.

Xiang Yu seemed to lean more towards the latter, immortality! Even the Overlord Xiang Yu could not resist this temptation!

Another surprising person was Lu Su, who also chased to Xianyang and joined the截Teaching. For mobile users, please visit http://m.piaotia.net
