Chapter 19 Stars On The Sky(19)

This program was called Perspective Weekend, which was an online Broadcasting Program with heated social topics, culture and gossiping. It basically interviewed all the content the audience wanted to know about. The host of that show was once a famous TV broadcaster, but quitted his job to become a web show anchor. He was quite popular with his sharp questions.

Such semi-advertising company introduction by Gao Yusheng in fact should pay sponsorship fees for their show. But because of his handsome appearance, his legend and some personal reasons, the show paid GaoYusheng a thousand yuan in return as his entrance fee.

Zhai Chen held his arm and stood at the door of the studio, waiting Gao Yusheng who was still chatting with the host after the shooting. Of course it was mainly the host talking most of the time, and Gao didn’t have much to say because he had recited all the scripted text.

“Please come in this way. Get ready in the dressing room.” The staff led a middle-aged couple straight into the dressing room.

“Do you have high ratings for this program?” The middle-aged man’s voice came around. Zhai Chen instantly looked up at that familiar figure, and recognized it was exactly Li Ting’s parents for they hadn’t changed clothes yet!

The girl who was in charge of planning came here hurriedly with a red envelope with money inside. She was stopped by Zhai Chen, who pointed to the couple by raising his jaw, “Do you host get along well with Gao Yusheng? Why did he also invite this couple here?” Gao had just made a positive introduction for his company and then this couple were going to destroy this, which would make the audience confused about who was right.

“This is…” The girl appeared a little embarrassed.

“It’s not my company so they have the right to decide who they want to interview.” Gao appeared behind him and took him away to stop him asking about it.

Zhai Chen looked at Gao sympathetically, who not only obeyed laws but also resisted to bribe the program group or seek revenge from the evil forces. Such kind of second generation of rich people was bullied by citizens without much education. It’s really pathetic.

“What’s up?” Gao Yusheng found his eyes strange.

“Nothing. You must be tired after the recording. I will buy you some ice creams.” Zhai Chen suddenly wanted to treat Gao well and cannot help buying him something delicious to eat.

“… Ah?”

Perspective Weekend was a video program and it would be played on TV after a week. But the interview of that couple will be played on TV before Gao’s introduction playing on TV.

The old couple, who didn’t understand laws at all, spoke out the name of the company directly in front of the camera: “Punctuation Company is a black-heart company. My daughter as forced to die by them and they wouldn’t admit it.” According to Li Ting’s parents, the police refused to admit it was a suicide case because the police had colluded with the company.

“They claimed it was a murder, because they mainly want to get money from the insurance company. And they won’t give the insurance premium to us either. My poor daughter!”

Those WeChat pictures of chatting were posted over and over again online, somehow emerging a bunch of “people with knowledge of it” from nowhere, who commented in various interviews.

[User 123: I used work in Punctuation Company, which was actually a defrauding company, with few employees. It copied maps from foreign countries. To stop loopholes, it required me to work overtime every day, and I quitted after three months because it was too tiring for me.]

[Eye on the Bottom of the Foot: I work at the Fortune Building, and I can see their company’ lights are still on until midnight every day, which is really scary.]

[Justice: This is a junk company, which copied others and squeezed its employees. Today I will uninstalls the Punctuation Map.]

[Customer 456: Yes, I will unload the map app right now. If I don’t do it, I am not a Chinese person! ]

Occasionally there were some doubts that the police wouldn’t change “commit suicide” to “killing” at will, so those rumors were suppressed for a few days. The Punctuation Map was suddenly pushed to the forefront of public opinions. A campaign against the company was also launched to force it to relieve pressure of its employees by claiming they will uninstall the map application otherwise.

Secretary Zheng came in with sweat. “President Gao, there were lots of negative comments on our application’s ios platform. Our rating fell to 3 stars from 4.5 stars in just one day.”

“Find some people to write positive comments tomorrow to reverse it back.” Gao Yusheng continued to type the words with expressions.

Secretary Hao came over and pushed he glasses: “Jinnan Finance said they wanted to delay the financing progress, and planned to reconsider it. The e-mail has been forwarded to you.”

“What!” Secretary Zheng almost jumped up, “Jinnan Financing! They can’t do this to us!” Punctuation Map is conducting the B round financing and this is the last step. They are the biggest investor and now they want to delay the program. I don’t think it was just simply “delay”.”

Gao Yusheng glanced at the email: “Let them send me a formal letter.”

“OK.” Secretary Hao responded to him at once and turned around to deal with it.

Secret Zheng was so anxious that as if he got a rocket on his ass: “Why are you so calm at this point. If we can’t get the capitals, our new large program will not be conducted. Now our ‘Xun Dian’ program is just wasting the money. If we didn’t get the new capitals, our company will run out of all the money… This must be done by the ‘Cloud Dian’ map company. We should fight back!”

“What’s wrong with Secretary Zheng?” Zhai Chen questioned when came over to pick up Gao Yusheng. He opened the door and saw the anxious Zhang, “Why are you so anxious?”

The expression on secretary Zheng’s face became even bitter when he saw Zhai Chen, who wasn’t didn’t care about this at all. “If we don’t find a way, the company won’t work. President Gao will have to go home and inherit his father’s hundreds of millions of possessions.”

“… That’s quite urgent.” Zhai Chen nodded as if he agreed. He hit a ring at Gao Yusheng, signaling that he should go home.

Ga Yusheng looked up at him, quickly returned the last email，and turned off the computer. At the critical moment of the public relations crisis, Gao still insisted on commuting on time.

At that night, a local anonymous forum suddenly posted a post:

[I heard that the dead female white collar was sacrificed by cultists. There was also a similar accident last year and was considered as a suicide. ]

The sensational headlines quickly drew plenty of attention, with the poster posting a picture of Li Ting’s death scene and another picture of someone committing suicide. There was no doubt that this was a sacrifice, which referred to a sacrifice by some kind of heresy, and they just found someone without any reasons.

[The case that happened last year was considered as a suicide. But recently there was not only one kind of such case, therefore it had drawn attention from municipal bureau and wasn’t handled by the local police station. This girl’s parents may also be controlled by some kind of heresy, therefore they entangled with the Punctuation Company.]

There was an old saying that the worse the things become, the faster they spread. Zhai Chen even saw this piece of news at his Wechat moments.

[Mr. Cui from Duckneck Shop: Emergency Spread. The several suicide cases recently were some kind of heresy sacrificing. The heresy would especially choose those ladies aged from 18 to 35. Please be careful with it, and the single ladies had better not go out at night.] There were also matched pictures of Li Ting’s parents crying in front of the company and a heresy sacrificing scene in a movie.

Fang Chuyang shared this piece of news with Gao Yusheng because Fang Chuyang hasn’t returned home.

Over there, Gao Yusheng was busy in front of the workbench. The phone that was specially to deal with Yuan Xiao’ai rang.

[Yuan Xiao’ai: Have you fallen asleep?]

Gao Yusheng looked at the time, which was 23:30. Theoretically he should reply the message to her because he was a young man. He picked up his own smartphone and asked Siri, “How to reply a woman’s message of ‘Have you fallen asleep?’”

Siri brightened up:

[Do you need to keep in touch with her or make her heartbroken?]

Gao Yusheng frowned, and obviously he cannot choose to be ruthless: “Keep in touch.”

Siri gave him an example. At this moment, Zhai Chen sent a message to Gao, who was not very careful to copy the words and sent it to Zhai Chen.

[I have fallen asleep, but I woke up immediately when I saw your message.]

Gao immediately withdrew the message after he founder he sent it to the wrong person. But because Zhai Chen was playing his phone at that moment, and he saw this message clearly.

He was so surprised that he even twisted his waist and didn’t plan to pretend not seeing the message, even if he saw Gao had immediately withdrawn his message. He passionately replied to him:

[Wow~]
