Li Feng did not know that the old man he had met once was looking for him. When he returned to the Pet Home, the main door was already open, and Xu Yingying, along with two other employees, had already arrived.

Due to the shift schedule, Xu Xiaomei and Dai Wanjie were not working this morning. Instead, two other female employees were on duty: one named Fu Xiaoyan and the other named Hu Feifei. They were the earliest colleagues Li Feng had met and had witnessed his act of bravery. The sight of Li Feng, covered in blood, had left a deep impression on them. Moreover, after Xu Xiaomei returned home, she had praised Li Feng's performance from the previous day to the heavens, so the two girls had a good impression of Li Feng.

Of course, this good impression was merely a friendly relationship between colleagues, and dear readers, please don't overthink it.

In the following days, Li Feng's internship continued to go smoothly. With his ability to understand animal language and the natural aura he emitted that made pets feel close to him, Li Feng became the most beloved person at the Pet Home.

Many pets, as soon as they entered the Pet Home, would immediately abandon their owners and run to Li Feng, tugging at his pants and looking up for a hug. This made their owners both amused and envious!

Thanks to Li Feng's incredible affinity with pets, the Pet Home's reputation gradually spread among the pet owners in Zhonghai. Many pet owners brought their pets to the Pet Home, making even the usually quiet weekdays busy.

Xu Yingying, seeing this, was delighted. Her gaze towards Li Feng was filled with admiration and satisfaction. The other employees, although their workload increased due to Li Feng, had no complaints. After all, this meant more bonuses at the end of the month!

As for Dai Wanjie, after being scolded by Li Feng, he no longer dared to show any displeasure. When he came to work in the afternoon, he seemed to have changed his personality, treating Li Feng with great courtesy, without a trace of the resentment from the previous day. This left Xu Xiaomei somewhat surprised.

Taking a break, Xu Xiaomei secretly approached Li Feng and whispered, "Li Feng, you said Dai Wanjie was so embarrassed, but he doesn't seem to want to take revenge on you. Do you think he's planning something behind your back?"

You're right! Li Feng secretly praised Xu Xiaomei's intuition but couldn't tell her that Dai Wanjie had indeed planned to harm him but ended up being scolded instead.

Li Feng smiled and said, "I don't think so. Didn't Sister Xu talk to him yesterday? It must have been her talk that worked."

"Maybe," Xu Xiaomei nodded doubtfully, "But you should be careful! You can never be too cautious. Who knows what he's up to!"

Li Feng nodded, "I will, don't worry."

In the following days, Li Feng was busy and fulfilled. During the day, he used his true qi to communicate with the pets, completing his tasks smoothly. In his spare time, he would help Xu Yingying, secretly learning her diagnostic methods and techniques, and constantly comparing them with the veterinary knowledge in his mind.

Through learning and observation, Li Feng gradually realized that although he had all the knowledge and skills of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine in his mind, there was still a significant gap in practical application compared to Xu Yingying, a certified veterinarian. However, this gap could be bridged with some clinical practice.

Therefore, he cherished the opportunity to assist Xu Yingying, like a sponge absorbing water, constantly learning.

In the evenings, Li Feng hurried to practice his cultivation. Although the jade pendant had mysteriously entered his forehead, after several tests, he found that he could still enter the spiritual space left by the old Taoist by focusing his mind on his forehead, which reassured him.

Before he knew it, it was already Friday.

"Xu Sister, I have classes this afternoon, so I won't be eating lunch here," Li Feng informed Xu Yingying during a break after a customer left.

"Okay," Xu Yingying nodded. She had already known from Li Feng that he had two classes every Friday afternoon when he applied for the internship. "You go ahead. I'll have Xiaomei buy lunch for you."

Hearing this, Xu Xiaomei curiously asked, "What classes? Aren't you interning? Why do you still have classes?"

Li Feng smiled and replied, "I'm taking a second major."

As a fourth-year veterinary intern, Li Feng indeed had few classes. However, he had enrolled in a second major during his third year. This major required him to take about a dozen courses, but many of them overlapped with his veterinary studies, saving him a lot of effort. After a year of intensive study in his third year, he now only had one class every Friday afternoon.

"Second major? What's that?" Xu Xiaomei, who had never been to college, asked curiously.

Li Feng explained with a smile, "A second major is another field of study besides my veterinary major. If I complete it successfully, I will have two bachelor's degrees when I graduate."

"Wow! That's amazing!" Xu Xiaomei's eyes sparkled with admiration. "A-Feng, are you a legendary study god?"

"I don't think so," Li Feng scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed by Xu Xiaomei's admiration. "Actually, I wanted to apply for this second major when I filled out my college application, but I accidentally chose the wrong one and ended up in veterinary medicine!"

"Huh? Really? You could even make a mistake like that when applying for a major?" Xu Xiaomei laughed, about to ask more, but a customer came in with a pet for a bath, and they had to stop chatting.

As noon approached, Li Feng took leave from Xu Yingying and said goodbye to Xu Xiaomei before leaving the Pet Home.

He took the bus and first went to the city hospital, where he got an emergency appointment to have the bandages on his head, which had been on for about a week, removed.

As for why he chose the city hospital instead of the original health center, it's understandable. Li Feng's wound had healed too quickly. If he had gone back to the health center and they saw that his wound had completely healed in just a week with no scars, who knows what might have happened!

After the bandages were removed, Li Feng felt a refreshing clarity. He no longer had to wear bandages every day!

After thanking the doctor, Li Feng, seeing that he still had plenty of time, found a fast-food restaurant nearby and ate eight large bowls of rice, leaving the restaurant with a satisfied look while the staff and customers stared in shock.

However, Li Feng had miscalculated. In his excitement, he lost track of time and missed his bus. By the time he caught the next one and arrived at the school, he was already five minutes late for class.

"Report!" Although he was late, he still needed to attend the class. Li Feng knocked on the classroom door and looked apologetically at the teacher, who had just been interrupted, "Teacher, I'm sorry, I'm late!"

"Wow! Isn't this our classmate Li Feng?" The teacher, who had been listlessly lecturing, suddenly perked up, a teasing smile on his face. "Weren't you sick and in the hospital? How did you recover so quickly? Did you have trouble getting an appointment? Or did you get better halfway and decided to 'persevere' and come to class?"

The teacher emphasized the word "persevere," and anyone could tell he was being sarcastic!

Sick? Hospital? Li Feng was taken aback and glanced around the classroom, noticing a guy winking at him. He immediately understood. It seemed this guy had come up with an excuse for him being late!

Hey! This was a lucky coincidence!

However, the teacher clearly didn't believe Li Feng had been to the hospital. He pointed to a desk and said, "Since you're here, find a seat and don't disrupt the class! Of course, I've noted your tardiness. According to the rules, I will deduct 10 points from your regular performance score!"

10 points of regular performance score! These 10 points were part of the final grade, more valuable than the 80% of the final exam score!

The teacher had deducted 10 points from Li Feng's regular performance score just because he was late once! This left all the students in the room stunned.

"Alright, class, let's continue." The teacher, seemingly unfazed, picked up the textbook, cleared his throat, and prepared to continue the lecture.

At that moment, a low voice echoed in the room, "Why?"

The atmosphere in the room instantly froze!
