"Ah? What? Li Feng fought with criminals? Comrades of the police, are you sure you haven't made a mistake?" Upon hearing the police's words, Mei Lianmian instinctively jumped in surprise, glanced at Li Feng, and immediately said, "Could this be another Li Feng with the same name?"

Under Mei Lianmian's questioning, everyone's attention once again focused on Li Feng. Indeed, from his appearance, Li Feng's slim build made it hard to imagine how he could have fought against two knife-wielding criminals. Could the criminals have been even thinner than Li Feng?

"How can you doubt our police's investigative abilities?" Hearing Mei Lianmian's question, the police officer immediately glared, his stern expression intimidating the usually only authoritative in front of students, soft-hearted teacher Mei Lianmian, who was so scared that his legs went weak, and he quickly said he didn't dare to!

Seeing Mei Lianmian's cowardly appearance, Tian Haoyong, the dean of the college, felt a wave of shame: "Alright, Teacher Mei, we won't disturb the students' class anymore. I'll take Li Feng with me. Later, you can send today's lecture notes to me, and I'll pass them on to Li Feng. Don't let Li Feng fall behind in his studies because of this!"

"Sure! Sure!" Just as Mei Lianmian was nodding hurriedly, Li Feng, standing beside him, suddenly said, "Dean Tian, I won't go with you. Because I was late, Teacher Mei has already deducted 10 points from my usual performance score. If I leave early now, I might lose all 20 points of my usual performance score for this semester! If I don't do well on the final exam, I'll have to retake the course!"

"Ha ha!" Hearing Li Feng's words, the college students sitting below couldn't help but laugh, some even slapping the table in admiration!

Li Feng is really bad! He actually used Dean Tian's authority to counter Teacher Mei! Amazing! Really amazing!

Hearing Li Feng's words, Tian Haoyong couldn't help but glance at Jiang Xuhai beside him. Jiang Xuhai shrugged, indicating that this was his territory, not his problem!

Faced with his old friend's shameless actions, Tian Haoyong was left speechless, then turned to look at Mei Lianmian.

However, before Tian Haoyong could speak, Mei Lianmian had already spoken up with a righteous tone: "Classmate Li Feng, what you're saying, as a teacher, I must be responsible for every student!"

"I deducted your usual performance score because I thought you were late without reason. Now that the police have confirmed that you were injured while acting bravely, I won't deduct your score! And since Dean Tian is looking for you for something important, how could I deduct your score for this!"

"Go with Dean Tian with peace of mind. I'll send you today's lecture notes via email, so there's no need to trouble Dean Tian! If you have any questions later, feel free to come to me for help!"

Seeing Mei Lianmian, who was both a strict and kind teacher, encouraging Li Feng, all the students present couldn't help but look at each other. This guy's face changes so quickly! Just a moment ago, he wanted Li Feng to fail, but now he has completely changed his attitude!

Shameless! Too shameless!

"Alright, since that's the case, I'll take Li Feng with me!" Tian Haoyong seemed to be unable to bear Mei Lianmian's hypocritical and chilling words, and called Li Feng to leave the classroom.

"Alright, everyone, pay attention," after Li Feng left with Tian Haoyong and others, Mei Lianmian resumed his teacher's authority, lightly tapping the microphone on the podium and clearing his throat, "Let's continue the class!"

However, most of the students' minds were no longer on the class. They quietly took out their phones, logged into the campus forum, and posted what they had just witnessed, especially the part about Li Feng bravely fighting two knife-wielding criminals and helping the police catch them, which they emphasized and wrote in detail!

As for Li Feng, the party involved, he naturally didn't know about the students' actions. After leaving the classroom, he followed Tian Haoyong and Jiang Xuhai to the dean's office on the sixth floor.

"Classmate Li Feng, this is Deputy Chief Nian from the Municipal Public Security Bureau's Criminal Investigation Team, and this is Deputy Captain Chen from the Municipal Public Security Bureau's Criminal Investigation Squad," after entering the office, Jiang Xuhai smiled and introduced the two police officers.

However, Jiang Xuhai's introduction was unnecessary. By the time he finished speaking, Deputy Chief Nian had already smiled and patted Li Feng's arm: "Dean Jiang, there's no need to introduce us, we already know each other!"

Deputy Captain Chen also smiled and nodded: "Yes! Let's skip the formalities. We should get to the main business quickly, so as not to delay Li Feng's class!"

These two police officers were indeed Officer Nian and Officer Chen, whom Li Feng had met a few times!

"Officer Nian, Officer Chen, what's this?" Li Feng's eyes widened when he heard Jiang Xuhai's introduction. It seemed that a few days ago, Officer Nian was still a captain, and he hadn't heard anyone call Officer Chen a captain before.

"Ha ha! Surprised?" Seeing Li Feng's stunned expression, Officer Nian laughed heartily and patted Li Feng's shoulder, loosening his police rank, "See? Your old brother was promoted to Deputy Chief yesterday! Old Chen was also promoted to Deputy Captain!"

"This is all thanks to you, kid!" Good news brings good spirits. The newly promoted Deputy Chief Nian was in high spirits. Seeing Li Feng's puzzled look, he immediately explained the whole story.

It turned out that recently, it was the time for personnel promotions in the public security system of Zhonghai City. According to their previous work performance, Officer Nian and Officer Chen were on the fence between promotion and no promotion. However, at this time, they successfully captured two dangerous criminals wanted by the Ministry of Public Security for two years. Their names immediately caught the attention of the Ministry of Public Security's leadership.

Thus, their promotions became a matter of course. The day after the Ministry of Public Security's representatives took the two criminals back to Beijing for interrogation, a promotion notice was issued from the leadership's office. Officer Nian and Officer Chen were both promoted, envying others!

"Ha ha! So that's how it is, congratulations to both of you!" Hearing Officer Nian's explanation, Li Feng immediately smiled and congratulated them, "So, are you here to treat me to a meal?"

"Treat you to a meal?" Hearing Li Feng's words, Officer Nian and Officer Chen exchanged a glance and smiled. Officer Nian laughed heartily, "It's already good that we're not asking you to treat us! You want us to treat you?"

Li Feng blinked, puzzled: "I treat you to a meal?"

"Could it be?" Suddenly, a flash of inspiration crossed Li Feng's mind. He immediately thought of something, and his eyes sparkled, "Officer Chen, could it be that thing has come down?!"

"Ha ha!" Hearing Li Feng's words, Officer Nian and Officer Chen exchanged a smile. Officer Nian laughed, "Old Chen, see? I said this kid would guess it!"

"Yes! My Deputy Chief, your judgment is accurate!" Officer Chen smiled, took out a bank card from his pocket, and handed it to Li Feng, "This is the reward from the higher-ups. The amount isn't much, but it should be enough for you to use for a while. Keep it safe! The password is six ones by default. Change it as soon as possible, or if you lose it, we won't issue a second payment!"

"Ah! Thank you, Officer Chen! Thank you, Officer Nian!" Li Feng took the bank card, feeling its weight in his hand. He wasn't sure if it was because of the money inside, but the card felt a bit heavy.

Ah! A loser! Li Feng shook his head and put the bank card in his pocket.

Seeing Li Feng put the bank card in his pocket, Officer Nian smiled and said seriously, "Li Feng, this morning, we received a message from the provincial department. The Ministry of Public Security has made the two criminals talk, and they learned that their leader will be infiltrating Zhonghai in the next few days."

"This leader is much more dangerous than the two of them. He has trained in martial arts and served as a mercenary abroad for several years. He is extremely ruthless and dangerous!" At this point, Officer Nian's expression became serious, "We don't know if he has learned about the capture of his two accomplices or if he knows about your existence. So, you must be careful during this time!"

"I understand!" Hearing Officer Nian's warning, Li Feng felt a sense of urgency. It seems he needs to practice diligently to ensure his safety!
