It can be said that the old couple thought of many, many things at this moment, but they also wanted to hear the truth and see if it was as they had imagined. After exchanging a glance, Han Guixiang said, "Xiaojie, you must have learned some information. Tell us about it."

"Sure, Grandma." Chen Haojie nodded and began to speak. Since there wasn't much to the story, she quickly finished her explanation, adding some of her own thoughts along the way.

After listening, the old couple fell silent. It seemed that things were indeed developing in an unfavorable direction.

After a while, Chen Haojie couldn't help but ask, "Grandpa, Grandma, what should we do? Should we tell Sister?"

"Of course we should tell her," Chen Qingguo said decisively. "This matter can't be delayed any longer. Whether it's good or bad, we have to tell Xiaoxue. But before that, we need to investigate to avoid any major misunderstandings."

With that, Chen Qingguo looked at Han Guixiang and said, "My dear, let's go to Lu Qian's place and see Tingting. As for Xiaojie, since she looks a lot like her sister, she shouldn't come to avoid alerting anyone."

Although they said they were going to see Tingting, the old couple knew it was just an excuse. In the past, they often enjoyed playing with the cute little girl and occasionally invited Lu Tingting to their home or visited Lu Qian's house, so this excuse was quite fitting.

Saying this, the old couple immediately got up and headed toward Villa No. 19.

With their anxious mindset, it took them only six or seven minutes to reach the front gate of Villa No. 19, where they rang the doorbell.

At the same time, a maid inside the villa heard the doorbell and, through the security camera, saw the visitors. She quickly ran to the living room and respectfully said to Lu Qian, who was eating, "Mr. Lu, Mr. and Mrs. Chen are here. What should we do?"

"Hmm." Lu Qian was slightly taken aback, wondering why the two elderly people had come so early in the morning. Even if they wanted to see Tingting, it wasn't necessary to come so early, especially since Tingting had a piano lesson at a tutoring class later. Could there be something else?

After some thought, Lu Qian still couldn't figure it out. She stood up and said to Lu Tingting, "Baby, eat well with Dad. I'll be back soon. After you finish eating, I'll take you to your piano lesson."

"Okay, Mom, but can we skip it today? I want to play with Dad," Lu Tingting said with a pained expression.

"How can we do that?" Lu Qian gave her a stern look. "Dad has work to do. He'll play with you when he's free. I'm going out now."

With that, Lu Qian smiled sweetly at Xu Jianxing and followed the maid out, feeling a sense of inexplicable happiness, as if they were now a complete family.

A short while later, Lu Qian greeted the old couple and asked with a smile, "Uncle, Aunt, what brings you here today? Is there something you need?"

Chen Qingguo chuckled and said, "Nothing much, just that we haven't seen that little one for a few days and wanted to check on her."

"Hmm." Lu Qian was slightly surprised, not expecting that they had come for her daughter. Without much thought, she said, "Tingting is still eating. I'll take you to her."

As soon as she said this, Lu Qian regretted it, remembering that Xu Jianxing was still there. The old couple might misinterpret the situation, but then she calmed down, realizing that some things couldn't be hidden, and it didn't matter whether they found out today or tomorrow.

With Lu Qian leading the way, the old couple quickly arrived in the living room. Their first glance was not at Lu Tingting but directly at Xu Jianxing. Chen Qingguo, upon seeing Xu Jianxing, couldn't help but exclaim, "It's you, you little rascal."

"Hehe, it's me indeed," Xu Jianxing said, recognizing Chen Qingguo. He felt a bit awkward, as his actions at the time, though not wrong, had not taken the old man's feelings into account, and he had even added insult to injury by catching such a big fish in the old man's spot. Even with a good temperament, the old man must have felt frustrated.

It was like a regular person waiting in line to buy a lottery ticket, but when it was their turn, they couldn't buy it because they were on the phone, so they let the next person buy it. That next person then bought the winning ticket, and the regular person, upon seeing the results the next day, found out that someone had won the big prize, and it was the person who had bought the ticket in their place. How would that person feel? If the prize was large, they might not be able to eat for days. Chen Qingguo was like that person, and his situation was even more tragic, though not overly so.

Seeing Chen Qingguo's expression, Xu Jianxing added, "Old sir, I'm really sorry. I was thinking and didn't want to be disturbed."

"Damn, this is a slap in the face," Chen Qingguo said angrily, his face darkening. "Do you mean to say my fishing skills are no good?"

"Hmm." Xu Jianxing was slightly taken aback but then understood. He couldn't help but laugh, "Hehe, indeed, if I can think and still catch such a big fish, what would the old man think?"

Xu Jianxing quickly suppressed his laughter and explained, "Old sir, you really misunderstood. I didn't mean it that way."

Before Chen Qingguo could respond, Han Guixiang, who couldn't stand it anymore, pulled him and said, "Old man, can't you see the young man has already apologized? Who's right and who's wrong, you should know in your heart."

Chen Qingguo's face turned red, and he was about to argue, but after a glare from Han Guixiang, he calmed down.

Han Guixiang then turned to Xu Jianxing and smiled, "Young man, I heard about that day from the old man. I'm really sorry."

"It's okay, Aunt. I was at fault that day," Xu Jianxing said, a bit embarrassed.

"It's good that you're not upset," Han Guixiang nodded and then changed the subject, "Young man, I haven't seen you before. Are you Xiao Qian's...?"

"I..." Xu Jianxing was a bit awkward and then said directly, "I'm Xiao Qian's boyfriend."

Upon hearing this, there were three different reactions in the room.

Lu Qian was blushing with a mix of shyness and immense joy, feeling a sense of happiness. This was her in-game husband, bold and decisive.

The old couple, though they had a premonition, couldn't help but look grim.

As for Lu Tingting, she asked in surprise, "Dad, aren't you Mom's husband? She just called you that."

Xu Jianxing's face turned red, and he was at a loss, then said gently, "You're too young to understand. You'll know when you grow up."

"Oh," Lu Tingting nodded thoughtfully.

The old couple, hearing Lu Tingting call Xu Jianxing "Dad," were taken aback but quickly understood. Seeing Lu Qian's shy expression, they knew Xu Jianxing was telling the truth. Han Guixiang, with a somewhat forced smile, said, "Xiao Qian, congratulations."

"Thank you, Aunt Han," Lu Qian said, blushing and lowering her head.

"Alright, we won't disturb you. Enjoy your meal," Han Guixiang waved and smiled, "Tingting, see you later. Come visit Grandma when you have time."

"Okay, Grandma Han, see you, Grandpa Chen," Lu Tingting waved back.

Han Guixiang then pulled Chen Qingguo, who wanted to ask more questions, out of the villa. Once outside, Chen Qingguo said impatiently, "I had a lot more to ask. Why did you pull me out?"

"What did you want to ask? How they met? How long they've known each other? Do you think these are questions we should ask?" Han Guixiang glared.

"Uh, you're right," Chen Qingguo scratched his head, a bit embarrassed, then said with a grim face, "What should we do about this?"

"What can we do? If the heart has changed, it has changed. Any excuse won't help. Whether the two are truly in love or Xu Jianxing has ulterior motives, it's none of our business. What we need to do now is inform our precious granddaughter. Sometimes, a quick pain is better than a long one," Han Guixiang said decisively.

"Yes, that's true. But you know our granddaughter's stubborn and headstrong personality. We need to be careful with our words. We should also inform Xueyi and Suya in advance to avoid any unforeseen incidents," Chen Qingguo thought for a moment. Suya was his eldest son's wife.

"Alright," Han Guixiang nodded, "You inform Xueyi to come here when they have time. We'll go back and think about this matter carefully to see if there's a better way or how to tell our granddaughter more appropriately."

"Okay."

Chen Qingguo agreed, and the two quickly returned home.

Seeing the two, Chen Haojie asked impatiently, "Grandpa, Grandma, how did it go?"

"What do you think? That guy is now Lu Qian's boyfriend," Chen Qingguo said with a grim voice.

"Hmph," Chen Haojie huffed, "I knew it. That scoundrel must be after the money. I didn't think he had such means."

Han Guixiang smiled bitterly, "Silly girl, don't be too hasty in your judgment. Even if you don't trust your sister's judgment, can you deny that Lu Qian isn't an ordinary person? If that young man was after the money, would they have come this far? Besides, if he was greedy, wouldn't it be better for him to keep pursuing your sister?"

"You're right," Chen Haojie laughed awkwardly, then said with a hint of resentment, "But that guy is no good."

Han Guixiang shook her head helplessly. In her view, this was just a twist of fate.

Meanwhile, after eating, Xu Jianxing and Lu Qian took Lu Tingting to school.

When Lu Tingting was taken away by her teacher, the two returned to the car. Lu Qian asked, "Where do you want to go?"

Xu Jianxing thought for a moment and said, "Take me to the beach."

"The beach?" Lu Qian asked in surprise, "Why the beach?"

"To practice," Xu Jianxing said with a serious tone.

"What! Practice?" Lu Qian was alarmed, "Didn't you tell Wan'er that your cultivation technique has reached a limit? Won't continuing to practice cause an accident?"
