"Today I saw you."
Just as he had returned to his place, Lin Sen's phone suddenly received this message.
After nearly a week of being a laborer, cook, dishwasher, and laundry worker, and a ** partner at Dina's house, Lin Sen decisively decided to return home, moving quickly. It was only when he got home that he remembered he had left his underwear on Dina's balcony.
"Don't tell me it was in a dream." Lin Sen stared at the sender's name for a long time before he remembered who it was, and replied.
Sin.
Indeed, the sender's name was just three letters, but the full name should be Cinderella. At the time, thinking the name was too long, Lin Sen casually used these few letters. He remembered that the other party had deliberately emphasized that her name did not start with S or C, as it was only one letter different from Cinderella in the fairy tale. However, she did not know that for Chinese people, whether her name started with C or S, as long as the pronunciation was similar, there was no difference when translated into Chinese.
Lin Sen and Cinderella first met in a bar, not a very crowded one. At the time, Cinderella seemed to be dealing with some troubles, drinking alone. Lin Sen happened to be one of the only two remaining customers in the bar, so they naturally got to know each other. Lin Sen met her a few more times, all at that bar. Knowing that she was still a college student, Lin Sen had no other thoughts, not because it was inappropriate, but because he was unwilling.
As Cinderella stopped going to that bar, Lin Sen gradually forgot about her, just like he had forgotten many other friends. He didn't expect that she still had his number.
"You wish!" The reply came quickly. Lin Sen had just sent the message when he closed the door, and the reply was already there.
"That's my strength." Lin Sen casually sent a message back, then threw his phone on the sofa and started to organize the things he had brought back from Dina's house.
It had to be said that Lin Sen's life was now exceptionally "fulfilling." When he was still a team doctor, he could occasionally enjoy a bit of a bourgeois lifestyle, often going to places like bars. Now, these things had become a luxury. Not only did he have to endure the wind and sun during training, but even when he got home, he had a lot to do. For example, he still had to watch the videos of the next opponent's matches, and the physical fitness report from Dina.
The good news was that Lin Sen could finally focus all his attention on being a coach rather than constantly thinking about how to be a nanny. Although he occasionally had grandiose thoughts like the Adriano rescue plan, he no longer had immediate worries. Moreover, Aguero would be back in the next match.
Thinking about this, Lin Sen couldn't help but want to say to the next opponent: "Villarreal, prepare to die."
When Lin Sen picked up his phone after taking a shower, he found that it had been bombarded with messages.
"Is the Atletico Madrid coach on TV you? I remember you were a doctor."
"Did you switch to being a football coach?"
"Are you kidding? Are you really the head coach of Atletico Madrid? The one with a multi-million euro salary?"
"Don't play dead, answer quickly!"
"Where are you, kid?"
"Where are you?"
The first few messages were normal, but the ones after that made Lin Sen quite annoyed. There were over a hundred "Where are you?" messages, each with a different number of question marks, seemingly typed out one by one. What a patient person. Why not just call? Girls do things like this.
Thinking about this, Lin Sen was a bit puzzled. The Cinderella he remembered didn't seem to be this kind of person, and the tone of the messages seemed to change too quickly. How did it turn into this in just a few days? Why did all the women he knew act like this? Dina, who he knew well, and now this one he didn't know well, both seemed to treat him like an insider. To put it nicely, it meant he had good relationships; to put it bluntly, it meant they didn't treat him like a man. This was truly intolerable.
Just as he was puzzled, his inbox received a few more messages. Just as Lin Sen was about to send a harsh reply, another new message made him a bit confused.
"A DHSDDHASKJFHL&*%&^%$"
What was this? Martian language? Lin Sen, who claimed to be proficient in six languages, couldn't figure out what it meant.
Before Lin Sen could figure it out, a call came in. The caller was Sin.
"Lin? Sorry. My phone was taken by a classmate. The messages weren't from me; she was just joking." The voice was soft and sweet, but Lin Sen recognized it as Cinderella's.
"It's okay." Lin Sen immediately understood, feeling relieved. Good, she hadn't changed, still the lady.
At that moment, a woman's scream came from the other end of the phone, followed by a series of bumps. A moment later, Lin Sen heard a bold girl's voice.
"Lin? You haven't answered my question. Are you really the Chinese person at Atletico Madrid? The head coach? Not a scammer?"
Halfway through, there was another series of bumps and playful noises. Lin Sen felt both helpless and amused. It seemed Cinderella hadn't lied; she was indeed still a college student, though he didn't know if she really attended the famous Complutense University of Madrid.
"Sorry. Are you still there?" Cinderella's voice finally came through after a while.
"Still here." Lin Sen, who had been patiently waiting, replied.
"Come out on May Day, let me check..." Another scream.
"That's probably not possible." This time, before Cinderella could speak, Lin Sen shook his head and smiled. This girl wasn't honest; she had clearly put the phone on speaker. "Everyone gets a break on May Day, except the team. We have to train. But the team has a match on the weekend. If you're interested, I can invite you to watch the match. You'll know then."
"You don't have to take it seriously." This was Cinderella's voice.
"Great! We'll definitely come." This was the bold voice.
"It's okay." Lin Sen said calmly.
Lin Sen had always been indifferent to friends due to his personal experiences. But this didn't mean he would reject making friends. In any case, it was pleasant for him that Cinderella could contact him. In his memory, Cinderella was just a passerby, and they hadn't been in touch since the bar. He had quickly left Spain. So, although he hadn't caused any major changes, he had altered some things, like the call that just happened. As for the tickets, that was simple. If a head coach couldn't get a few tickets, what kind of head coach would he be? Besides, the match against Villarreal wasn't a hot ticket.
"Send me your address, and I'll send the tickets later. By the way, how many of you are there?"
"Three."
"OK."
The call ended there.
After hanging up, Lin Sen smiled, threw his phone on the sofa again, and went upstairs to start analyzing the videos, clearly not taking the matter to heart.
---
Complutense University of Madrid dormitory.
After the playful session, Cinderella finally managed to snatch back her phone from Ariel. Looking at the message history, she couldn't help but laugh. Ariel, that brat, had sent over a hundred identical messages to Lin Sen.
In Spain, football was as common as three meals a day, and almost any TV channel could turn into a football channel at any time. Thus, it wasn't surprising that Cinderella saw Lin Sen on TV. What surprised her was that the young Chinese man she had met in the bar was not the team doctor he claimed to be, but the head coach of one of Madrid's most important teams, Atletico Madrid. Out of curiosity, Cinderella tried sending a message to the number she might never have dialed in her life, and the rest is history.
"Ariel, are you really going to watch?"
Looking at Ariel, who was boldly posing in a three-piece outfit on the bed, Cinderella, who was already used to it, deleted the messages and asked. Ariel was studying psychology at Complutense University, aspiring to be a great psychologist and even to be listed among the university's famous alumni. Recently, she had become interested in the relationship between ** positions and personality, often using herself as a test subject in the dormitory.
"Of course." Maybe she found it boring to do it alone, Ariel answered and got up to walk to the other bed. "Don't you know that for psychology students, releasing emotions is very important?"
"What about Boya?" Cinderella turned to ask.
"I'm not going." The reply came from a foreign girl who was always immersed in her studies, who was also Ariel's current target. As she answered, Ariel's "claws" had already climbed onto her shoulders. This was clearly not the first time. Boya didn't even look up, only saying, "Ariel, if you keep being a hooligan, I'll kick you down."
"Come on, I'm not afraid." Ariel, with a look of determination, ignored Boya's threat and her hands moved closer, reaching the edges of the peaks.
"Cinderella, if you can get Ariel down, I'll go with you this weekend." Boya slapped away Ariel's hands, closed her book, and said helplessly.
"That's easy." Cinderella smiled faintly but didn't pull Ariel off Boya's bed. Instead, she walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and pulled the curtains open.
"Hey, you crazy woman!"
The hooligan, not yet a pervert, screamed and quickly grabbed a blanket to hide in the corner before Cinderella could fully open the curtains.
Done!
Cinderella triumphantly gave Boya a cute V sign.
