The Qiao family’s villa was located in the heart of a bustling city with extremely expensive land, in downtown S-city. The Qiao family’s old residence spanned over thirty acres of land.
Looking down from the helicopter, the view of the villa was like a green oasis garden surrounded by a forest of buildings, inside the chinese garden, rocky mountains and lakes[1]. The views were beautiful.
This was because the Qiao family had been Ru merchants[2] for generations. Their ancestors had always occupied this place since the beginning.
The villa was built upon this land years ago, with over a hundred years of history. The area where this villa was situated had over a hundred years of history. Although it was rebuilt thirty years ago, it still retained the charms of that time — old-fashioned elegance and understated luxury.
Inside a room on the second floor of the villa, sunlight snuck through the gap of the heavy curtains, pouring in golden rays of light on the barely awakened individual in bed.
The man’s clear, delicate, and handsome face had the pallor of the early morning. His hair was in disarray as he sleepily scanned at the room’s furnishings, looking confused.
Where is this?
When Qiao Yang was a sophomore in college, he was once invited to the Golden Melody Award ceremony to accept an award. The presidential suite the organizers gave him that night was the most luxurious room he had ever stayed in.
However, when compared to the room before his eyes, that suite was just a high-quality knock-off.
This room was decorated in a blend of modern and classical Chinese style that was both classy and opulent.
He was surrounded by distinctive and ingenious furnitures, floor was covered by a thick cashmere rug[3], and the red sandalwood ornaments were emitting a pleasant fragrance, ornaments of all sizes carried great values in style and rich heritage.
It took a while for Qiao Yang to remember that he had transmigrated into a book. His identity now was the third young master of a first-rate rich and powerful family in the novel.
In addition to that he also had another identity.
The Head Manager of Qiao Corporation’s Planning Department, leading a staff of nearly a thousand of employees.
Qiao Yang massaged his aching head.
He was a Music major, halfway through college, an ordinary guy who lived off his family’s bar, and just idling his time away. He absolutely wouldn’t know how to operate a business.
How was he going to bullsh*t his way out of this?!
Downstairs in the dining room.
On top of the mahogany-lacquered round dining table were three breakfast settings. Furthermore, sitting at the table were two tall and elegant gentlemen; one was Qiao Tiancheng, the original owner’s father, and the other was Qiao Jin, the second elder brother.
Qiao Tiancheng looked at the empty seat across from him and asked in confusion, “Your big brother didn’t come back last night?”
Qiao Jin held his spoon while nonchalantly drinking the congee and replied, “Didn’t Big Brother say that he wanted to move out? He should be at his house last night. Hasn’t he told you about this yet?”
Qiao Tiancheng looked at him in shock, and his voice couldn’t help rising, “Move out? Why?”
Qiao Jin raised his head and looked up at the dome-shaped ceiling toward the second floor, somewhat helplessly said, “There’s no parking space in the house, he doesn’t care either.”
Qiao Tiancheng immediately understood what was going on.
He put down his chopsticks with some annoyance, feeling as if his chest was clogged with cotton and he couldn’t swallow any more food.
His family’s Lao Da and Lao Er[4] had both been very excellent from a young age and had never given him any worries.
However, Lao San was not very capable yet very competitive, but he always utilized underhanded tricks.
As soon as he joined the company, he started to gather support and formed factions to start internal strife, trying to compete with Lao Da and Lau Er at every turn.
He bought four cars and parked them horizontally at home to fill up the parking spaces, and everyone knew what he was doing that for.
Lao Da and Lao Er didn’t even care about his stingy behavior and didn’t even want to bother with him. But it was impossible for the heart not to feel disgusted about it. That was the reason why Lao Da moved out!
Brotherly discord was a family taboo, and if things continued to be like this, it would not benefit the Qiao family at all.Qiao Tiancheng’s heart was filled with fire, and sternly instructed the servant standing next to him, “Ah Xing, go and call down Lao San.”
Ah Xing respectfully replied, “Yes, Master.”
But as soon as he turned around, his expression immediately became very reluctant, he composed his expression and walked upstairs. When he reached Qiao Yang’s room, he dawdled then let out a disgusted snort.
Who would be willing to wake up this evil young master?
The Eldest Young Master was angered by him until he left. Master must be very angry, so this was a good opportunity to get Master to teach him a good lesson!
Ah Xing thought with his mouth agape, then returned downstairs.
He returned to the dining table and mumbled as if hiding something, “Master, the Third Young Master is…….”
Qiao Tiancheng’s complexion was not good as he asked, “What? He’s not getting up?”
Ah Xing hung his head and remained silent, putting on an aggrieved expression on his face.
Qiao Jin was used to it, he asked lightly, “Did Lao San scold you again?”
Ah Xing’s head hung even lower, and he whispered, “… It was my fault to offend the Third Young Master.”
Qiao Tiancheng slammed his hand on the table, his elegant and handsome face tinged with a layer of anger.
“This kid… He has been out for a few years and his skills have not improved, but his temper is getting worse and worse! Since he is not going to get up, then don’t eat breakfast. Remove his plate.”
As his voice trailed off, Qiao Yang came walking down the stairs.
He stood outside the dining room and looked around the furnishings and his family, it was both a familiar and unfamiliar feeling.
He was somewhat at loss, then experimentally called out softly with hesitation, “…… Dad, Second Brother.”
Qiao Tiancheng immediately turned his head and scolded, “How much longer are you going to sleep! Let Ah Xing wake you up and still throw a temper tantrum, becoming more and more uncultured!”
En?
Qiao Yang turned his head in confusion and looked at Ah Xing, who was standing by the side.
A trace of panic flashed in Ah Xing’s eyes.
How unlucky!
This was his first time setting up a trap and he was caught red-handed, and usually Third Young Master would scold him heavily.
